I have been a pharmacy patron of CVS at Bressi Ranch Carlsbad CA since they opened. CVS has a knack for hiring some of the most professional, caring, knowledgeable pharmacy employees who go above and beyond. This review is a plea to other loyal CVS patrons to ask corporate to pay their pharmacy staff hazard pay for their role as frontline workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. These people come to work every day so we can get our prescriptions filled and maintain our good health. They are risking their health and that of their families and roommates. Please speak up! CVS Pharmacy employees have our backs; let's have theirs. read more

I would just like to let my neighbors know as I live in this neighborhood also that if you are disabled or challenged of any sort this is the store I was in pain and needed a product and a very loving kind store clerk came out to assist me and her name is Athena very pleasant store clerk to work with she made my day helping me out and the most wonderful part is I didn't even have to get out of the car thanks again to this CVS and I hope anyone that has any issues with a disability or without choose this wonderful store thank you read more

My experience with CVS and the CVS in Bressi Ranch specifically has been terrible. Repeatedly, I have to show up in person to request a prescription filled that they had for five days I even took the liberty to speak to a regional executive to let them know so that they could improve the service. But I don't think they really care. It's unfortunate. read more

I'm not sure what the problem is here but they routinely don't have the prescription medicines you need. They do not notify that they don't have it. They don't use the app. They don't process insurance correctly if at all. They don't contact your doctor for auto refills as Walgreens does. They are either understaffed, mismanaged or both. They are surly probably because everyone is complaining incessantly. Can't take a chance again to not have prescriptions! This is everything from antibiotics, cough medicine, heart medicine, post surgery pain med not in stock! Stuff you need when you need it without a hassle. While it's a drive, we have moved everything to Walgreens in Encinitas. Too bad as this location is much closer. Maybe if enough people move CVS corporate will fix the problem. read more

They must take a master-class in horrible customer service, ignoring people at the self-checkout and refusing to help basic needs like paying for the items. Nice pharmacy in the neighborhood. Olivia and Athena are really nice and professional, timely and helpful whenever I go. I was amazed at their composure when two customers who were the rudest people I've ever seen were cussing them out today. They continued to be nice, despite all the personal insults. There was also a pharmacist I don't know her name who was being yelled at, but they really never broke their calm composure and kindness. read more

Today, I went to this bressi CVS to return a Milani brand cosmetic that I purchased at the Encinitas store for about 11.99. I found the same product but they didn't have my same color or the right color for me so the sales woman (coming in for the 3.00pm shift on a Sunday) She refused to return it because she said this store didn't have this color in stock!? She said, see the store number in your item is not this one. Huh!? I said, you clearly have this product on your shelves. I was dumbfounded as to why she wouldn't take it back. This is not what I expect in terms of service from a major chain like CVS. Not a happy customer. read more

Consistently slow. I had a prescription called in, waited hours before calling for an update. Was told it wouldn't be ready until next day because they are too busy. I just moved it to CVS in Target on Business Park Drive. Never again. read more

Walking into this store is disgusting with the trash can always overflowing. Guess CVS can't call those responsible for emptying the trash & cleaning the cob webs from the drive through window. I wish this review was about the entire store as I am very pleased with the retail floor service. There is always someone available to offer assistance. Excellent customer service skills. The only problem there is the lack of checkers up front and the long wait for assistance when there is an error - always - at the self checkout. Obvious management issue. I switched my prescriptions to this CVS since they are closer to home & have a drive through. I miss the pharmacists at the San Marcos store. They are so very professional. I will certainly return after the pandemic. (Never saw a trash can overflowing & never had to wait for a checker up front or an employee to clear an error at the self checkout. This pharmacy is so close to our house. And it used to be good. It's not anymore. There must have been a change in the management or the staff, but it's now AWFUL. Every experience we've had with them in the past 6+ months has been problematic. Prescriptions are rarely ready when they say they will be. Their communication is unbelievably bad. Avoid, avoid, avoid. I'll be driving past this pharmacy to the one up the road at Target from now on. read more

I understand it's hard to get employees, but the staff here is totally the worst. Looking for an item that supposed to be in stock, drove through traffic to get here and they wouldn't even look it up to see if they had it. They just said it must be due to pilferage it's not out on the floor. Just the worst. I'm not a pro Amazon advocate but I can see that reliability on product inventory control Is far superior in that consumption environment compared to the local CVS store. They should put up a sign "enter without asking questions or help you are on your own". read more

This "The Square at Bressi Ranch" shopping center location is wonderful. I cannot tell you how wonderful this CVS is compared to the others I've been to. I shop constantly at CVS so finding a new location like this one gave me joy. It's a large CVS and has a better selection of items, especially the latest K-beauty skincare and makeup. Everything was organized and easy to find. What I liked most about this CVS though was the staff. Each one politely asked if I needed any assistance, helped me find the best deals and made sure the products I was purchasing met the requirements of the free beauty bag coupon. Be sure to get your coupons at the Extracare card coupon kiosk because there are always good deals! The only problem this CVS has in particular, which is not even their fault, but the entire plaza of The Square, is the lack of cellular towers there. I cannot tell you how difficult it was for me to send a text message in that area or find my uber because I couldn't get a strong enough signal. It will probably get better in the future as that area is further established. Overall, I would definitely come back to this CVS for their friendliness and selection of items! read more

My wife and I walked in to get our yearly flu shot today at the CVS in Bressi Ranch. We filled out all the paperwork and got in line for the shots. There were about 10 people ahead of me in line. It took 45 minutes to get to the front of the line only to find that the guy giving the shots, kept calling peoples names that were now behind me in line. I finally asked how far down the list we were and he had to scroll down about 5 page on his phone to find our names as we were a walk-in and he was taking all patients with reservations first. Since, apparently, the reservation list was full, 10 minutes apart, our walk-in reservation kept being pushed down. It would have been nice to know this prior to waiting for an hour and then having to leave without ever getting our shot! read more

We went for a flu shot after 1pm on Sunday, and a lady told the person helping us that they do not accept customers until 3pm because they are having lunch. What's happening to the customer priority in this world?? read more

The pharmacy department needs training processing insurance requests for flu shots and customer service training, as well.

I am a healthcare worker who was advised to get a Covid test by our primary physician when a fellow employee tested positive for CV19. I went on Friday 6/19 at 3:40pm and to this day, 6/24/20 3:30pm I still do not have any results. This is completely unacceptable. While other employees went to Kaiser or the County and received their results within two days, while CVS, and Minute Clinic, can not get results back to essential healthcare workers within 2-4 days as promised on their website. Would not recommend for vaccines. They had no record of my appointment even though I had an email confirmation. Waited half an hour and was given no information or follow up instructions. Trash can overflowing at entry to store and covering the sidewalk so people cannot enter CVS from the Sprouts side of the store. Debris included at least one pregnancy test kit and other trash that should be cleaned up in a timely manner especially during a pandemic. Looked like it hasn't been emptied in days. Not the first time this has happened. One time my husband went into the store to report this and was told trash is picked up by outside maintenance people. Doesn't give a good impression and not good for the health of customers. read more

I was a five start client until this weeks phone calls.... now I'm a 0-star client. Who will take my business where it is respected . I don't even live close to this location, but continued to drive there for over a year, now. Until this past week& namely today.... they only filled 13 pils for a 30 day refill. And can't seem to make it right, without either, charging me a full copay or putting my credit card on file to pay what they said the last time they called, is $.80, difference. To which at that point they said they were waiving to make right, by their own mistake.... yet today when they called a 3rd time to debate something they opted me into without my co sent, if reasonable explanation of. They wanted to give me a credit, again to charge me a full copay & not fix the problem they continue to create.... not ok! I will now be disputing this transaction, but told them to keep the pills and their solution. As it's not acceptable That I now know their phone number when they call , as that's how many times they have tried to remedy a situation that they continually crate & ESCULATE! That is poor customer service. When you give someone a solution, it's not ok to continue to call wit another problem. Especially when the client, didn't create your issue, YOU DID! Bad move CVS! I would now take it from 5 stars to 0, but the lowest acceptable one is 1 starhow hard is it to do the right thing, as a business ??? read more

I'll never walk into a CVS again. CarePass is the biggest scam. They have zero customer service. It's impossible to cancel. I spent nearly 2 hours on the phone with no result. I'm charging back via my credit card. Costco's pharmacy right down has drug prices and OTC medications at a fraction of the cost. Everything else in the store can be bought elsewhere. Covid tests are immediate results at Scripps LJ vs weeks at CVS. With zero customer care, there is no reason to ever go to a CVS. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. They constantly are out of stock on certain drugs. When you call to refill a drug, you have to try to communicate with an automated computer voice and then wait on hold for sometimes 10 minutes to speak with a real person. If you need a drug compounded, there is only one pharmacist there that can do it, and she is not always there. The worst public service ever! read more

I have never ever had a single issue at a CVS pharmacy EVER. Some pharmacists at other locations have even gone the extra mile, re-prescribing long-term meds when I was between PCPs. I can't say the same for the asian employee/pharmacist working at this location. I felt she was very condescending and rude to me. From reading other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one who has been treated like this. If you don't like your job/dislike helping others or are simply having recurrent bad days, stop taking it out on the customer by giving them crappy service. Had she been a little more friendly and polite, this review would be different. I called a different CVS and they were more than happy to offer me an affordable solution for my very simple issue. read more

Covid Testing is too slow. I had a Covid Test 5 1/2 days ago and still have no results. This is not acceptable. I'm very, very sorry that I didn't do more research about the various testing sites. There are others in Carlsbad. read more

Worst experience ever. I have never met a pharmacist as rude as she was at this location. If you don't want to do your job and you don't like it, then find yourself another career. Don't take it out on the customers. I had a question, and she couldn't even listen long enough to to hear what I was trying to say. The fact that I am writing a review for a CVS cracks me up! I went in today to print a few photos from their self service machine. Right off the bat, the woman who helped me with that (red hair) was rude and unapproachable, no big deal I brushed it off and continued to be polite to her (it's a few days before Christmas and everyone has a bad day). There was a young man working at the registers along side her who may have been new. She snapped at him several times which was very uncomfortable as I was standing there but once again I brushed it off. I stood in a 15 minute line of about 10 people to checkout where everyone was very patient and following social distancing orders. After about 5 minutes a middle aged brown haired woman joined the young man at the registers yelling "why didn't you call for me" "you should've called me" in front of everyone. He had an issue with his customer which made his coworker even more mad as she continued to belittle him and snap at him in front of everyone in line. The work environment was so toxic it was cringe worthy. The two women were extremely rude to their male coworker to the point where I thought about it hours later (up until now where I decided to write this review). Not sure who the manager is at this place but they need to learn some customer service and workplace ethics. Coming from a Human Resources specialist. read more

As a caregiver I had to purchase a blood pressure cuff to take blood pressures on my patients. Because CVS has such great savings, carepass, and coupons, that's sent through the email I was able to save a substantial amount of money and so I was able to purchased the blood pressure cuff. Some patients are on a fix income and need their blood pressure monitored daily. After showing her how to use the blood pressure equipment now my patient wants one too!!! CVS has this carepass (yearly) membership which gives you 20% off so I pass that savings to my patient. She was thrilled to get some savings ($11.00). Thank you CVS for helping me care for my patient and to give me the ability to pass on that savings to my fixed income patient. Now my patient can monitor her own blood pressure with confidence when I'm not there. XOXO read more

Came in for a money order. Because I used my passport instead of California ID, the cashier was less than thrilled and it took about 20 minutes to input my information. The money order printed out blank. They couldn't give process my refund for whatever reason in the system. The shift leader was brought in. She didn't have any luck either. I asked her to bypass it - she said she can't and that I should come back with someone's drivers license to scan to get a refund. A random person in line who was frustrated with the wait offered their ID. They scanned it and still no refund was generating. That's when the shift leader finally told the cashier to take the refund from the register and leave a note for the morning manager. That's what I originally asked her to do but she waited for me to complain that I had been in the store for now 30 minutes with a line of customers behind me. This was over $100 that she wanted me to take lightly. Awful customer service. read more
