This is literally the worst gas station I've been to in the North County area. The employees are both rude and very dimwitted. The employee at the register is texting while I'm standing there waiting to purchase an item. I'm literally the only one at the register. When he finally acknowledges me, the register computer freezes. Really? I'm literally buying one item, a coffee. Then the employee goes and gets the manager or supervisor on duty from the back room. He comes out and simply turns off and turns on the register. The employee goes back to texting. I thought that being a gas station clerk as far as job complexity is on par with wiping down tables, but apparently there's more to it than simply acknowledging a customer and then explaining a problem or issue. And to think that California, which is already by far the dumbest state in the entire United States wants to pay these people $20 or more per hour for a job that requires about a 3rd grade level of comprehension and skill. read more

Display for water clearly says "buy one get one free" no fine print or anything to bail them out of this advertisement, as I get to the car I'm thinking how was 4 small water $13? So I go in and ask the cashier and he says "well that's why asked if you're a reward remember, maybe you have to be to get that price. You should download the app and see if that helps." Bottom Line: Convenient to I-5 with a convenience store but over priced. The only more expensive gas in town is the magic gas Avis puts in my rental car if I return the tank on something less than full. For that reason, I stop at this overpriced Chevron to fill my rental car tank before returning my car to the airport. Other than the fact that the location is good for me, there are not any redeeming qualities about this station and the accompanying G&M convenience store. There isn't any access to this station directly off of Palomar and those exiting from I-5 will have a few lights to contend with to get to the station via Paseo del Norte. Receipts rarely print correctly. Sometimes the receipt doesn't print at all while other times it is half blank. read more

When I arrived, it was closed for a 15 min break and Daranice came back a couple minutes early and promptly re-opened. This is our San Diego pit stop to/fro because of it's easy in/out. The market is very well stocked, great coffee selection & creamer choices. Gas price is 15-20 cents more than nearby gas stations but you cannot beat the location. Extra parking has been useful during long tiring road tips and need a break. WC: Both ladies & gentlemen bathrooms are spacious & clean. Yes, ladies I've had to use the men's restroom & it was actually very well kept! Efficient & hard working staff. read more

This gas station is never open every single time I come here. I have came here on 4 separate occasions and the door is always locked with a sign saying that someone is on a break. Stagger your shifts so employees can break each other. Or have more than 1 person working at once. This is a prime location, should be killing it enough to have 2 people working. read more

They have a mini mart here and, according to the website, they also sell diesel gasoline... I don't remember tho cuz I was in a bit of a hurry... they did have some nice looking pumps tho... gas was expensive as hell... about $0.40 more than what I was used to paying... Anyways, if you're in dire need of a fill-up... I guess you have this option... but if not, cruise inland more on Palomar Airport Rd and you'll find gas that's slightly cheaper.. and if you have a Costco card and don't mind the long lines... there's a Costco a few hundred feet inland on Palomar Airport Rd... read more

Of course this chevron has overpriced gas!! Doesn't everyone know chevron carries the most expensive gas?! Plus, it's right off the freeway so you can't blame them for the possible upsell. I've been coming to this station for years because I've worked really close by in the past. The employees are decently kind. The line can go from one person to 10 people within two minutes though and there's only one register so it can be a pain sometimes. I like the huge selection of snacks and drinks and it really caters to all your touristy needs, carrying hats, sunblock, sunglasses, shirts, postcards etc. The women's bathroom is normally very well kept too :) just don't come here to get gas if you're gonna complain about it read more

The staff is full of people who don't know restrictions on tobacco and deny military service members under 21 the purchase of tobacco even when its state law that it's legal. I walked in to just grab a water bottle and as soon as I walked in the woman told me I needed a mask in order to purchase anything, while the man she was helping in front of me had no mask on. I walked to my car to get a mask and the man she was helping before me told me that the lady's didn't say anything to him simply because he used to work there. Another man walked in before me and she told him absolutely nothing so I asked her "hey are you gonna ask him to put a mask on also?" And she said oh I didn't even see him. So I go into this location to purchase an item for 2.09 according to the price tag sticker. I give the employee 2.50 and say don't worry about the change. He says that it's going to cost more than 2.50. So I respond by saying I think my 2.50 will cover the 2.09 plus tax. He says the price is incorrect and peels off the price tag. At this point I point out that all the other items have the same price tag...he says they are all mistakenly priced and I owe him more money. So I go back to my car to get my phone to take pictures of these items so I can let his manager know that he's doing this. While I'm out of the store he runs over and grabs the remaining items and brings them behind the counter to remove the stickers. I then am fed up and ask for his managers name for which he responds "I am the manager" I then ask for his bosses info for which he says "get it off the internet" What!? Really!? I the ask for my receipt which he hands me but not before tearing the transaction info off and leaving me just the address info. This employee is criminal. I then demand my receipt and in return he starts to call the police. This place is the worst business I have ever been to and I will be taking this to the next legal level. Crooked and shady!! Our tank was not all the way empty, and only holds 15 gallons. Charged us for 16.13 gallons. Spoke to manager who said we had to call Chevron to have them check the pump for calibration. If nothing shady is happening, wouldn't the management want to do that themselves? Figured Yelp was the better option...maybe next time you will just give us our $3 back, since now the word is out that your pumps are "off."
