Terribly trained customer service staff, who could barely communicate. Went in to pick up some yard signs that were supposed to be ready at 10am. I was told the order was still printing, and it would be no more than 30 minutes. Two hours of waiting later, I was handed a sign that it turns out had been done the entire time. The only two sign orders they had were confused by the uncommunicative and unhelpful staff. At the time I returned for pickup, there was only one person trying to handle signs, passport photos, cash register and a phone that was ringing off the hook. I drove 30 minutes to pick these signs up, and I do not appreciate the unnecessary extended wait. They did not even offer to call when ready. The store was such a mess, I didn't even want to shop. I waited 1/2 in line for my prescription. I did check the time. I'm handicapped and there was no accommodations for handicapped ones. I felt like I was going to faint. Our Rite Aid moved and Walgreens closed so I had no choice but to go to CVS. I normally don't go there because of their lack of service. Or maybe it was just a bad day. 3 women were helping one person!!! That was nice of them, but in the end they couldn't help her as they needed more insurance information. This is honestly the best pharmacy I've ever been to, in any state. They are compassionate and understanding regarding the challenges with healthcare system and it always feels like they have your best interest in mind. They are also the hardest working team in the area. Amanda, Ker, Regina and Pam are those I work with most often, but, as a general rule no matter who I talk to or meet are generally the Very Best of the Best. Amanda and Regina always know who I am and have been there for me over the years before health issues were even issues..! This used to be my spot to get propane replacement tanks for my BBQ, but they have been out for MONTHS!!! Every time I go in I ask and they never have it. And what's even more frustrating is the employees do not have any idea of when they will be in or have any explanation of why. I have been picking up prescriptions and calling them on the phone with questions and insurance concerns for 4 years now, and I can honestly say that they uphold the highest customer service standards in any business I've ever been a customer of. They are so kind and helpful, and they put in extra time and work without ever being asked. I have had some rude interactions at other pharmacies, which is understandable because of how much they put up with on a daily basis, but no one at this pharmacy location has ever been the slightest bit rude. Buyer beware. This pharmacy location will no longer honor any coupons or discounts on anything deemed to be a "controlled substance", of which there are many for many different ailments. My generic prescription price went from $35 at the last refill to $168 for the next. A prescription I have refilled many times with moderate changes in price along the way. I was told that this was because of a change in "management". After contacting CVS corporate, I can tell you that the whole CVS corporation does not care and only wants to make as much cash for stockholders as they can. After a very long and very positive relationship with this particular location, it is a shame that they do not have any loyalty to a very loyal customer to provide fair pricing for generic drugs. And I always pay CASH so they do not have the hassle of billing insurance and chasing down payments. I work hard at supporting local locations for doing business and stay away from cheaper options on the internet and elsewhere. Let me be clear though that this is in no way a reflection on the staff that work withing this location as they are great and have always been very professional and friendly to me and have tried to do whatever they could for me. I have frequented this location since they opened some 10plus years now. I have always had good relations with the pharmacy staff until lately. The new pharmacist may be efficient but she lacks personal skills. Every time I cal or deal with her in person, she rushes you off the phone and does nothing to emphasize with you or takes time to personalize with her customers. Time for a new pharmacist if they want to keep their customers. She was this way before COVID and has become more irritating since COVID. Maybe it's time to switch to Rite Aid. read more

Zero rating. I went up to ask a question for some allergy medicine. The pharmacist and three assistants ignored me. I finally asked for help finding the item I needed. The pharmacist just stared at me. No response . The two other ladies just kept talking amongst themselves. Finally one lady waved her hand straight ahead directing me to a product I was not asking for. I walked that way and she said just keep looking I think we have it somewhere over there. My 4 year old son had a high fever so I packed him up into the car and drove over to CVS to buy him children's Motrin. On the way there he fell asleep in the car so I decided to drive through their "full service" pharmacy drive thru and buy Motrin for him there. When I pulled up it was obvious that they were decently busy inside, but since my sick son was asleep in the back, I didn't mind waiting. A tech came to the window to help me and I told her I just wanted to buy children's Mortin. She informed me that they don't sell that through the drive through because it's not behind the counter. I apologized and asked her if she was able to do it just this time because my sick son was asleep in the back. She literally rolled her eyes and acted extremely frustrated with my request. She walked away as if she was going to do it and then came back even more frustrated with the excuse of "there's just so many kinds of children's Mortin so I can't do it". Really??... Of course I was furious because of the lack of basic human empathy. I work in the medical field and I would have NO problem doing this for someone. I've been in that store many times and I know that the Mortin is literally 10 feet from behind the counter. I wish I had caught the woman's name that helped me, but all I know is that she was a rude Caucasian female with brown hair. I was extremely frustrated so I pulled around the building and parked my car in the CVS parking lot. I looked back at my sleeping son and thought, "Wow. No way am I going to wake him up, I'll take my business elsewhere. So I did just that! Absolutely the most horrible slow drive through window with people who have no idea what they're doing I've been on a wild goose chase for four straight days to get a new prescription that my doctor sent and they're telling me it's too early they are not allowed to fill it but yet my husband called on the phone and they told me it's ready and then I drive and waste my time in their slow ass drive-through again and they still tell me it's not ready and they can't fill it even though my doctor has sent it over twice... Don't shop at CVS on Green Valley Rd, in Cameron Park, CA., if you need to go to the bathroom! They have closed them to the public, with a sign stating the reason is vandalism and theft. I asked the young man at the checkout for the key after seeing the sign, and was informed "we no longer have public restrooms", to which I said "that's rediculous, this is a public place", and the young man's responsored was "our inventory isn't free". So I asked "so where am I supposed to go?" and was told "go to Starbuck's" which is across the parking lot. What class CVS! CVS management solution to a theft issue is to not get a security solution, like cameras, or a key available from an employee, but to burden other businesses with their customers bathroom needs. Some Class CVS! You gladly charge me for all my prescriptions, including one that is $350 a month, not reimbursed by insurance, or over $4000 a year, but you can't find a way to let me relieve my myself. So I guess it is time to relieve myself of CVS. I am 65 years old and done business with you for decades. I also have had major surgery that requires more frequent access to bathrooms. While I understand the local junior high allegedly represents some shoplifting challenges (per your policy that students backpacks be left at the door), so I suggest you solve your security issues with professional help, like put a camera in the hallway leading to the bathrooms, or a theft tag detector at the entrance to that hallway, or limit the number of young students that can be in the store at a time, since you haven't succeeded with current management approaches. In the interim, recognise the older long term customers don't represent the same threat and may have medical conditions. This pharmacy has given me so many issues in the past with picking up my medications. I went this past Saturday to pick up one of my medication and the pharmacist was absolutely rude and once she heard who my doctor was made an extremely inappropriate and unprofessional comment about him. I was so shocked I started shaking! I have never been treated so poorly from a "professional" in my life. I called my Dr office e asking to switch pharmacy's because of there comments and they said they have always had problems with this pharmacy! I made a Yelp just to leave this comment l. The pharmacy manager has tried to give me a generic version of my prescribed medication three times in a row. She also proceeded to tell me that it is "not her job" to make sure I have the right medication. She yelled at me.saying it is my fault that she keeps giving me the wrong kind of birth control Update: 6 months later they still keep ordering the generic birth control instead of the name brand even though my doctor put 'do not substitute' on my prescription. Extremely rude pharmacy staff. I was directed to go here by Caremark because my daughter's immuno suppressant medication was shipped to the wrong address. They told me that CVS and Caremark were the same company and to simply have the pharmacist call a phone number to get an override. Both of the pharmacy staff immediately started getting very upset and telling me that CVS and Caremark were not the same company and they made a huge, extremely verbal fuss about calling this phone number. Eventually I became upset because I was already late for work and chose to leave. I went to the Walgreens on Saratoga in El Dorado Hills and they helped me within five minutes. My daughter got the life-saving medication that she needs to take every day for her liver disease. When I called to talk to Caremark about this, it turns out they are exactly the same company. If I could give negative stars I would. If you need a prescription do not get it filled here. The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. They are so short with you and when I ask questions they talk to me like I'm an idiot. They are also beyond unhelpful when you need to know more about the prescription you are picking up. My boyfriend wanted to know more about his prescription and the lady just said he will be fine and walked away. He went on YouTube and found a pharmacist talk about it in great detail on there. I also just called them and before I was done asking questions they hung up on me! Every time I call the pharmacy I am always shocked with how rude and abrupt the person "helping" me is. The woman I have spoken to mulitple times interrupts me with literally everything I'm trying to say, has told me wildly incorrect information before, and basically acts like just refilling my prescription is a huge inconvenience to her. I've worked in both customer service and the medical industry and I understand that it can get busy but I still don't understand how someone can have that type of attitude towards customers and still have a job? Horrible customer service in pharmacy. Called in this morning to talk with someone about picking up a four week prescription, the lady continued to tell me that it's a week early and I would need a release form directly from my insurance to pick up my prescription 7 days early (seven pills early). I've waited over an hour and no calls no information back, pretty typical. Sorry I didn't ask for your horrible attitude, I asked for my prescription, if it's not available I would love to speak with your manager about how that's not available currently.
