This is a tiny CVS, complete with beggars outside shaking their coin laden cups at me. I was looking for some cheap chap stick and it didn't end up being cheap at all. I was desperate and purchased it anyway. The clerk was nice enough to come from behind the cashier to take me to where the chap stick though. I really appreciated that. But overall the store felt cramped, so I don't think it's a location I'd visit unless I absolutely had to. read more

This store is a huge improvement over the divided CVS stores that Harvard Square used to have. It was never fun to do half of your CVS shopping in one place and then walk a block to do the rest. But that's not the reason this place gets 5 stars from me -- that credit goes to the people who work there. I never fail to get excellent, knowledgeable service from both the pharmacists and the floor staff/cashiers. I don't know where they find these people, but they are all so nice and helpful, going above and beyond regularly. And they're personable, but not overly friendly, which can feel fake and a little creepy. Kudos to whoever does the hiring and training and to the awesome staff! read more

Worst experience ever!! We are visiting from out of town, celebrating my boyfriend's 55th birthday today. He had an ear infection so we tried the MINUTE Clinic. We waited 3 HOURS to be seen, just to be told we needed to get a COVID test before they could help?! We missed out on our boat tour because of it. Thanks for an utter waste of time! read more

CVS: please remove the ridiculous self check out kiosks. They are terribly loud, and slow the check out down by asking extra not applicable questions and requiring I put the "brought my own bag" on the rack when my own bag is usually my purse. I much prefer an in person cashier and much prefer the experience of shopping at nearby Dixon's Hardware for everyday life goods. read more

This CVS is tiny. It doesn't carry everything you'd find at a bigger CVS. For example, hair dye. Nope, none here, you need to go down the street to the other CVS which is ENORMOUS. That one is 2 floors and kinda like the Taj Mahal of CVSes, CVSi? Anyway, this one ain't too special. The people that work here always seem like they are stoned or tired or both. There is one sweet little chica who is always nice, so I like her. This place is definitely three star worthy. read more

Called in a prescription at noon. The gentleman on the phone kept asking when I wanted to pick it up. I told him each time that I got out of work at 6 pm so anytime before then would work since Id be coming around then. Got out of work late, so I got to the pharmacy around 6:30 pm. They told me they were still working on it and it would be 20 minutes. Someone who dropped off a prescription right after me was given a 20 minute timeline-- confirming that they had never started filling mine in the six hour notice I gave them. read more

This is a conveniently located CVS in the heart of Harvard Square. Check-out is quick even when there are many customers, and the staff is friendly. It's much more expensive than other comparable stores (I.e. Target or Wal Mart), but if you provide CVS with your email address you can receive coupons on a regular basis of 20% off an item. read more

This place like everything else Harvard is super packed, so expect to wait in line, but it's larger than your typical CVS, so you'll find what you need. There's also a phone charging station outside if you need a few quick percentage points. To my knowledge it's also one of few 24-hour convenience stores in the area. read more

I can't overstate how frustrating it has been to try to get prescriptions filled here. When it first opened I thought its convenient location would make it it really easy - but boy was I wrong! I can't count the number of times I dropped my prescription off, specifically asked the pharmacist "Can you fill this?", been told they could, and then gotten a call twenty minutes later saying that oops, they can't fill it after all! To be fair the pharmacists have usually been apologetic and helpful, calling around to other locations to see if they can fill it and sending the prescription over... But I'm still left waiting, then traveling up to an hour out of my way. Worse have been the times when they've taken 2-3 times the time I was initially told to fill the prescription. I've given up, and would advise other people to avoid the experience if you can. The store itself seems pretty consistently stocked and neat and they're pretty good at getting limited-edition makeup displays, but the upstairs layout is confusing and there are rarely people on the floor to help you find anything. I think they are generally understaffed, since the upstairs registers are rarely open (exacerbating the long line downstairs). The people are usually pretty friendly when they're around, though. If you need some quick convenience food it's pretty easy to swing through and get them, provided the line is under control... For anything else, particularly medication, just skip it. read more

I went here Dec 11 , 9:32 pm my phone was at 3% that time and I needed to buy a power bank I went to this CVS and buy one after the transaction I went outside to ride my bus and realized the powerbank is not charged so I went back and tell them if they can give me new one so I can charge my phone and contact my parents they look at me like I am an idiot and tell me "Maam you need to charge it by yourself at home" I told them "Why do people buy powerbank in the middle of the night here at cvs and pay 19.99 for a power bank because? THERE PHONE IS ABOUT TO DIE" then he called the manager and the manager told me that I needed to charge it first before I use it I was so pissed and ask for refund they were looking for my card that I used but I told them "My phone is already dead so I can't" then they tried giving my store credit I told them "No I will not take that" they just gave me cash and let my parents worry about where I am that time of the night , ridiculous will not recommend read more

I live nearby and have been going to CVS (all 3 of them) for many years, so I shouldn't complain because it's my own fault. However, I will say this: They are very creative at having every imaginable problem. Their computer crashes and they have to move to another cash register until it is rebooted - nobody knows why. When you use a coupon for huge discounts on prescription (the internet is full of them), it assigns a random price different from the one you give them. They told me "There 's NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!" very sternly. Each time I had to show them the right price. Finally I said, "Don't let it assign the price and just give me the price on the coupon." and now they do that. At first they sold spoiled frozen food - rancid. After I called the board of health, it stopped happening. The CVS brand is horrible - baby wipes that are just like the Kentucky Fried Chicken stiff hand wipes. Their brand of bathroom scales breaks in a month. So I never buy it. But what they do is to periodically remove all name brands from a product and offer only the CVS brand. So you never know when you may be in a dilemma. A nurse at my doctor's office once told me they constantly make mistakes. "On what?" I asked. "Everything." she said and I laughed. This store's location is extremely convenient and they have an ample selection. The staff are also very nice.

New CVS so is very clean and well organized. The worst thing about it is that there is no automated check-out for some reason. You're forced to check out with a cashier - no self-checkout option. I wonder why, given it's brand new... read more
