I stopped by this location to pick up water bottles. After I found what I needed, I browsed around the store. As I walked into the candy aisle, i saw a sweet deal on Cadbury chocolate bars, specifically Cadbury fruit and nut bars. The deal was (2) bars for $6.00 when your use your CVS rewards card. I couldn't pass this up. The store employee was helpful when I had some trouble at self checkout. I wouldn't mind shopping here again. Came here yesterday with my Sister-in-Law to pick up some medications at the pharmacy. It was quick and easy service. We also shopped for some snacks. I saw some chocolate/snacks on sale and grabbed a few. Self-Check out was painless and quick. Short line with a staff up front monitoring and available for help if needed. I forgot my cvs card and tried using my phone number but it didn't work which was odd. Overall service was quick. Lots of products available for your need. read more

The pharmacy staff who was in on 08/23/2025 was extremely rude and unprofessional. I have been using the same birth control for the last 4 years I came to pick up my prescription and they tried to give me completely new medication. When I asked them about it they said my doctor has sent a new prescription which is untrue. When I started asking questions they told me my regular prescription was not available for pick up. They blamed everything on my doctor. Once they saw that I started calling my doctor they "checked their system again" and said that because my specific medication was not available they replaced it with another brand. When I asked who is responsible for this my doctor or them they blamed their system. What kind of pharmacy changes medication without the clients consent and doctor confirmation? This is absolutely disgusting. Completely lied to my face and tried to blame someone else for their shortcomings. You should be ashamed of yourselves. read more

Visited this CVS for the first time on Friday because I saw it had a parking lot. The CVS was pretty well organized and neat. I was purchasing lots of paper towels and had two customers ask me for assistance thinking I worked there LOL. I did two transactions so I didn't have to waste bags and could just bring paper towel rolls to my car. My first transaction went smoothly at self-checkout. Then at my second transaction, which was the same, the individual at the self-checkout said I couldn't use some of my coupons even though I was doing the same transaction. She didn't even bother scanning it, probably knowing that it would work. At first, she was coming over to "help" me scan items when I was doing just fine, but she really just came to tell me I can use my coupons. The individual was about 5'2" and wore a headscarf, she went around to 2 other employees asking about the coupon policy and they clearly did not know. However, at her own discretion, she told me they won't accept it even though it was accepted in the first transaction. Why would companies give out coupons if they won't be accepted? This is the first time I've experienced this and I was just really confused, I never had problems with using coupons and this was my first time at this CVS and first time having a problem. I won't be visiting this CVS even with their attractive feature of having a parking lot. read more

I was in the area and needed some printer ink. I decided to try this drugstore. They don't seem to have a lot of range when it comes to ink and some cartridges were sold out, so it's not the best place for this kind of shopping. However, they had the one I needed. Another really awful interaction. I'm trying to pick up my prescription, which (according to their website) hasn't been fully filled. I have a hard time getting to this location due to my disability and COVID, and they can't deliver it due to the specific RX type. So I was hoping to pick it up at the CVS I will be at tomorrow instead. When I call, the lady I'm talking to cuts me off before i finish explaining, and says yes, she can do it. Then she looks it up and says no, she can't. I ask why, she says because it's controlled. I explain that I used to pick it up at the other location regularly, but she just says that if she cancels it, it had to be placed again by my doctor. Rather than inconvenience my extremely busy doctor, I'll just be inconvenienced even longer with the inability to get my medicine. Medicine I need every single day. I asked about why it said there was only enough for 20 days, because this is a common thing here, filling prescriptions partially with what little they have on hand as they run out, but not telling the client, and she said to me, "I see 60 pills I don't know what you're looking at." As if I'm making stuff up...I'm looking at the official website's official pharmacy list of what they're holding. I don't know why talking to me in a rude, contemptuous manner is the official way of handling things. If it's not, is there a button I can check to request polite service? Ugh. This is one of the few CVS pharmacies i have no problem with. Their pharmacists are excellent and will do whatever they can to help you out. The space is large and pretty neat compared to other locations and most importantly their self checkout actually works! The photo area has never given me problems and they have a new area for sandwiches and quick eats which is useful if you are on the run. They were opened 24 hours for a short time but that has ended, and don't be fooled by the location because the entrance is on the 85th street side and if you are driving from 18th avenue or New Utrecht ave it may look closed when it's really not read more

Avoid the photo center here. I've had 2 experiences and both have been below average. The first time it took ~15 min to find my order because my number was still associated with another customer, so my order was not under my name. The second time, I placed a Same Day photo order, then got an email that photos were ready for pick up 1 day later. I went in to pick up my order the day after and was told that the photo machine had been malfunctioning and restarting since yesterday night and that I should always wait for a phone call confirmation - and to not trust the email confirmation. I've never heard of this before and was annoyed because at this rate it's very unclear when the photos will be finished, but definitely not by the same day. It would have been nice to get an alert that there was a delay, to save me the commute/time wasted but next time I'll try another store like Rite Aid. read more

I come to this CVS if they have a particular deal because I usually use Rite Aid as I am a gold member and get 20 percent off. This is a large but average CVS with a manager who is helpful to the point of annoying. If I need help I will ask. Other than that it has the self checkouts and my opinion to CVS is if you want us to check ourselves out and bag our own stuff than give us an employee discount. Plus there is always a problem, prior time I went I am waiting to check out when a woman just moves ahead of me, my loud ahem makes her turn and ask " oh were u waiting" "No", I replied, "I just like standing at store checkouts with a basket. Ugh...nothing annoys me more than a mess once you walk into a store. It looked like a crowd of hoarders or one of those extreme coupon-ers came in and wrecked the store trying to find a sale. They had workers in the front doing god knows what but if you see a bunch of stuff in the wrong place its usuallly suggested to put it back (christmas sale crap with a box of condoms in the mix...really?). The overall set up and aisles are a mess. My husband politely asked someone if they were on line for checkout. The person rolled their eyes and rudely announced "if anyone needs help let me know." It would be great if the staff can show some courtesy. I was there today to get diapers. Got two huge boxes and when I asked the lady at front for bigger bags, she gave me one.. I asked again for another while I struggled to put the big box in the bag. She saw me kneeling on the floor and trying to put it, instead of helping she threw the other bag on the floor beside me. She just stood there while I struggled to put the other box in the bag. I understand it's probably not a part of your job, but showing some courtesy wouldn't hurt lady. I love CVS but do not care for most of the Bensonhurst locations which are all crowded with rude staff and sold out sale items. This store is not only clean but the staff is really great and the lines move along easily. This location has the best selection of any CVS I have come across in the area. I usually come to this CVS, even though I live closer to the one on 65th st & 18th ave. There's a parking lot here and you'll always manage to find a spot. Other locations frequently run out of sale items, but most times this location had what I was looking for. The pharmacists and technicians here are knowledgeable, caring, and extremely helpful. They have employees that speak different languages (Arabic, Chinese, Italian, Russian), so that's a plus. Sometimes, it can get a little busy, so be patient and give them a little extra time instead of having them rush, so they can accurately and appropriately fill your prescription. FYI: the parking lot has entrances on both New Utrecht ave and 85th st, but the actual entrance into the store is on 85th st. read more

Imagine. You are not feeling well and your doctor prescribes medicine. You get a call that your prescriptions are ready. You go to pick them up but 1 prescription is not there. No explaination. Call the doctor and he says he ordered it. So I called the pharmacy back. First time I was kept on hold for 6 minutes, a lifetime when you're feeling poorly. Called back and was told " oh that medicine is on hold." "Why?" I asked. Its an over the counter medicine and is not covered by insurance. Why not tell me that at the time of pick up? Its a little scary that people who dispense medicine for a living, would not take 10 seconds to explain this or even ask. While I was there, there were pther people complaining about the service at the pharmacy at this CVS. Never had these problems before. read more

Pretty standard CVS. What differs this store from the others is that this store is 80% reliant on self service checkouts. It's not a problem for me, since I usually use them when shopping at supermarkets, but it's a pain in the butt having to wait on line because everyone using the machines have no idea what they're doing. The store is kept clean, usually pretty good sales, parking in the front, located right next to the train station. My only issue is that there is almost never anyone sitting behind a cashier. The only employee I see is the one that greets me when I come in and supervises the self service area. It would be nice to have a register open, in case my bills are too worn out for the machine to accept. read more

when i worked in the downtown section of brooklyn for almost 20 years i would crash at my coworkers crib a few times a week while he stayed over his girlfriends pad and the local cvs was my morning pit stop for snacks and drinks before i started my work day. good size parking lot , spacious inside with plenty of aisles and shelves stocked with the typical cvs stuff. i always notice the pharmacy section in the back was always busy with customers as well as the rest of the store as its near the subway station and it was the only drug store in the area . i did tend to hang around the magazine section a little longer then i should of but why buy people magazine or the national enquirer when you can read it for free . the line to check out was always long as i recall as the self service machines were not installed yet during my daily morning visits . glad this cvs is still around at its 18th ave location , good memories of my brooklyn work days as i drive by . read more
