I usually get the lemon flavored Liquid IV, but I decided to try out the ones from Prime since they were on sale. I tried the lemonade flavored Prime today and it was pretty good. This is my first ever review. I wanted to give parents a heads up on the online booking system for the flu vaccine. I booked appointments for the flu vaccine for me and my 3 kids online. It gave me a few options for times. It sent me a text to check in when I arrived. We arrived a few minutes early just as requested, and checked in. When I got there, there was a really long line for all pharmacy services, and only one pharmacist. Our appointment was for 5:00 PM. She let me know that she wouldn't be able to accommodate us by the time they close at 7. So, if you want to avoid wasting your time and making the drive in the rain for nothing, I suggest you call first. Or, try your luck with a walk in at Safeway like we ended up doing. read more

This is an overdue review and finally able to write up my feedback. I have been going to CVS Pharmacy for years for our prescriptions. I have nothing but AMAZING service from this pharmacy. Mostly Sadee who is their pharmacist ALWAYS go above and beyond to make sure we get our prescription whenever there's issues with insurance or getting prescription from doctors. They literally call them and resolve the issues so that we can get our prescriptions on time. Thank you so so much for the wonderful service you provide to your patients. I have mixed feelings about this location. The pharmacy itself has always provided great service and their staff has always been friendly. Their store is well stocked and I always find the vitamins and personal care items I need. Plenty of parking and it's a nice, clean store. However, the store staff are just downright rude and inappropriate to each other. I witnessed a yelling match between a lady who seemed to be some type of senior staff member or supervisor and a younger man working the registers. They were arguing and name calling in front of the customers and the younger man left his register unattended and stormed out saying he was quitting. I don't know the nature of the argument since it was in progress when I arrived but it made me, as a customer very uneasy. This last week, this same lady was extremely rude to me as I was using the self check out and had noticed something didn't ring up the sale price. She refused to come over and take a look for me and told me I wasn't following her steps on the register. She wasn't helping any other customers and was yelling to me from 10 feet away. I know that if I see her around, just to probably avoid her-just plan rude and I've seen her be confrontational to employees It's my local CVS so I'll keep going but it's not always the most pleasant shopping experience. read more

Wanted to give the employees at the pharmacy a great review. They are always so kind and so patient with me which sometimes I need since I have a lot of anxiety, forget to pick up me meds, need them filled AGAIN..... etc While waiting they always provide the same caring service to others in the community and in my experience wait times are really short! Well, if they are one thing, they are consistent. While they did close off and clean up the garden area kinda, the store generally is in really bad shape. The front area has really dirty sidewalks, and there is still trash occasionally strewn about. The first thing you notice when you walk into the entrance, is the smell of mustiness. The carpets are worn and dirty, there's visible dirt and dust on a lot of the shelves, they sell food in the CVS and I'd be hard-pressed to eat anything that came out of this store. When it was Longs, it used to have a really good selection of a wide variety of things, now this place is like a combination Dollar General store and pharmacy. I'll say this, though, they conveniently have very little items behind plexiglass doors and panels... Which other box stores have seem to adopt as their method for thwarting thieves. but this is likely due to the fact that even the thieves in East Contra Costa County don't want to shop in this CVS... errr steal? Not that it really matters, because most of the stuff in there is not really anything that you can't get in a cleaner store. read more

Walked in 7-mins before closing as Safeway didn't have the face wash I needed. The moment I entered the older lady at the register yells "you have 4 minutes make it quick" -- thanks for the warm welcome! She had the cash out from the register on the checkout station and said she couldn't leave the cash unattended to come help 4 customers that were waiting for someone to open up the cabinet to get what we needed. We all just walked out empty handed. I'm not giving my funds to rude service. read more

They sold items that were not marked as final sale, did not tell us at checkout, and then lied about why they wouldn't refund our money. $50.00 may not be much to some people but it's a lot to us. The woman pulling the drive up orders acted like I was not talking to her. So, the cashier aka the manager said hey she was asking about her order and she told her I'm pulling orders and took off. She literally had my order in her hand and she put it away and took off. She was rude and when I called I got the young girl at the register that said she was the manager. I like the fact that the store has a huge selection of Brands and products, but the tall blonde female pharmacist and dark haired female pharmacy clerk need people skills. They are not helpful at all. Trying to find an otc medicine and just being told its over there on isle 6. Looked for it for awhile, went back up to counter again told its over there. No help, no one else in line either. Little older Hispanic store clerk very rude when I asked if she could assist me checking out. She told me to go to self serve. I told her I didn't want to, and couldn't because I needed to return an item. She still wouldn't assist me until a supervisor named Justin told her to help me. He decided to come over and help me instead and provided great service. The other store employees need to learn from his example of great service. read more

I will go out of my way to not come here. The employees are very difficult to obtain any info out of with regards to products, adds and deals. I had question while in here tonight about how to get the email coupon savings, and how it works add and it was like pulling teeth with the associate. They don't want to answer your questions! I understand retail isn't a fun job but please if your on the clock do what you have to do. At one point the associate suggested I contact corporate to obtain the coupon. I'm not blaming the associates but management should train them better and maybe more people will be more open to shopping here. read more

This is the worst example of a CVS that I have ever seen. For 6 years I've been meaning to post this review. Not sure if it's management's fault or the owner of the property but the premises are absolutely filthy. The windows are grungy, as well as the ground surrounding the store. Absolutely disgusting. The exterior has needed painting for ten years at least. What an embarrassment for CVS and certainly not a Brentwood standard. If I were the store manager I would see it as a reflection of my mismanagement and be embarrassed, indeed. read more

I have been having the worst time filling prescriptions for my Mom at Walgreens, so I contacted CVS to have her meds transferred. There was an issue with the refill, so I called and spoke to Sarah, she took it upon herself to contact the insurance company to see what could be done, on the Labor Day holiday. When she called back she reported the issue to me and gave me very clear and concise instructions on how to proceed. She was patient, kind and competent. In this day and age, when customer service is a thing of the past, I value it more than ever. What Sarah didn't know is that I had been struggling for 6 days w Walgreens and she figured out for me how to get them filed at a different Walgreens store in less than 30 mins. I am so grateful that she had the compassion to take the time to assist me when I was truly feeling helpless. If I didn't need these meds today, I would cancel them altogether w Walgreens and have them filled at CVS. I have now been on hold with Walgreens for 45 mins where the person I am speaking with is shouting, rude and clearly does not have control of her emotions. I will be leaving a corresponding review for Walgreens, kinda like a part 2 of adventures in prescription transferring. read more

After 2 days of waiting for a call from the pharmacy, I called, the phone system is horrible! waited on hold for over 20 minutes with no human contact. I thought maybe something was wrong with the phones, and decided to call and leave a message with the front store!!!! The woman who answered the phone would not listen to me!!! 3 times I begged her to not transfer me or put me on hold!! She refused to listen and picked up the phone and put it on immediate hold!! I finally got through to the pharmacy on my 4th call no thanks to her! I asked for the store manager to call me about the poor service. Pharmacy was unable to fill my prescription! pulled my prescriptions and will transfer them somewhere else! Customer Service gets my business not rude people who won't even listen! read more

Last week, on Wednesday, I placed an order of 45 4x6 photos to be picked up. I am a teacher and needed first day of school photos printed. On Friday, I went to pick up the photos at the CVS on 2nd Street in Brentwood. First of all, no one was at the cash register for about 15 minutes. Then, once she came, she couldn't find my photos. She had to call her supervisor who also couldn't find them in the computer system. Once she checked the photo drawers again, she found them right away under my last name. Turns out, the first employee did not listen when I spelt my last name for her. This all wasted over half an hour, when it should have been a simple pick up considering I already paid for the photos online 2 days previously. THEN, when I looked through my photos, I saw that 18 of them were blank!! This is unbelievable. I will absolutely not be going to this location of CVS ever again. So bummed. read more

My Dr called in a prescription that was supposedly ready via email yesterday, I went to pick it up today, waited in line for 20+ minutes only to be told that it was NOT ready but they could have it ready in 30 minutes to an hour! This is absolutely not acceptable of a pharmacy. I have been a customer of many CVS pharmacies in several cities and have never seen such a slow and unacceptable pharmacy! One word. Rude. I was browsing one day for sunglasses and happy 3 in my hand. I accidentally dropped one and employee sputtered at me telling me I threw it on the ground. I told him "Sir I didn't throw it on the ground" He then rudely said ,"Yeah whatever you lie. I saw you throw it on the ground you liar," and walked away towards the back" Fix your employees. After not getting a single minute of sleep last night due to early pregnancy stuffiness, I ventured into here to find a remedy for the next 9 months. While searching the allergy isle for a safe saline rinse, a manager offered me help and pointed me in the right direction. Since I am a very friendly and talkative person, I continued the conversation. It went from me being a nurse to talking about my military career and present veteran status. Once I gathered all my items, I went to check out in excitement of gaining relief once home! As I prepared to swipe my card, the manager (I wish I would have caught his name) came up to the associate and took care of my order. I was speechless and beyond thankful! I'm updating my review from my last one. The Balfour store is not my favorite store. The employees there are rude too.

So I've shopped at this CVS in Brentwood on 2nd St. since I moved here in 2005, and I shop there about 3 or more times a week. Today I went their and bought my items and then their alarm went off as I left, I turned back and went back to the register and was told to keep walking through, which I did and the alarm went off, I offered to let the cashier who is also the store manager, Rocky, look thru my purse and even opened it up for him and began taking most items out. He then informed me that I am not allowed back in the store again! He did this in front of a long line of customers and even the lady he should've been ringing up said "WOW!" as did I. I was in shock so I just calmly said "Wow, ok I shop her almost everyday but whatever!" This was by far the most humiliating experience of my life. I have all my receipts emailed to me so just be known that corporate office WILL be hearing about ROCKY and his very very poor customer service! I worked retail many years and know for a fact those alarms are not perfect and can be set off for unknown reasons but calling me a thief is unacceptable! I will make sure they hear about this! ALL my and my family and friends will gladly be shopping at Walgreens, or Target from now on! 14 years ROCKY! I had never shopped at CVS in San Jose. The few times I had prices were high, staff left a lot to be desired. After moving to Brentwood a month ago, I started couponing. I had heard from fellow couponers that CVS lacks sometimes. I had questions today about a coupon deal and asked a staff member. She laid it out for me and offered to even ring up my transaction to see if it would work. I kept shopping, another cashier helped me and it all went smoothly. Every time I come here I'm greeted by multiple staff and asked if I need help. This cvs changed opinion and I will continue to shop here. read more

Called and asked if had a skeleton for Halloween in stock. Was told they did and that it was the last one. Said i wouldn't be able to come until after 5 bc I was driving from Walnut Creek after work. Was told "no problem, it would be held for me." Took down my name and number to hold it. Just got there, after driving 45 minutes, to all employees looking dumbfounded at me and being told "no Skelton was saved!" Very frustrating considering how far I drove in traffic and being reassured it would be there! Will never be shopping here again! They owe me gas money and 1+ of my time I'll never get back. We rushed over to cvs this morning when my daughter had a severe attack of acid reflux. Seriously, it came on all of a sudden, and we were in a hurry to get her some relief. The pharmacist was so kind and helpful. I wish I had gotten her name. She helped us find the right remedy (pepsid complete) my daughter was feeling better within 5 minutes of taking it. This CVS is just like the other location. The customer service is greatly lacking. There are no employees on the floor so there isn't anyone to help you. I just moved to this side of town. I transferred my prescription to this location. Again, just the pharmacy is helpful. It's weird that the main part is terrible but I have no problems with the pharmacy. I haven't been to the bathroom there so I have nothing to report. read more

I wanted to call in to see the cost of my prescriptions and I sat on hold for 25 minutes to be told they're not ready and come back at 3pm. I showed up at 5 to find out my prepackaged inhaler still isn't ready. This place is a joke or severely unstaffed take your pick. read more

This review is for the pharmacy, not the store. The pharmacist Carrie was super helpful in getting my rx transferred from Kaiser & filled right away so that I wouldn't miss another pill. After missing a day, then driving out to Kaiser in Antioch only to be told that they don't stock it & the soonest they could have it would be another 3 days (no way I could skip a total of 5 pills!), I started calling around to see if any pharmacies had it in stock. Luckily CVS did but they said it could be 24-48 hrs to get it transferred. I then spoke directly to the pharmacist & asked her to call Kaiser for the transfer instead of faxing them & waiting for their reply. She made an exception & did just that. A couple hrs later, my rx was ready. She also told me about a great app that offers discounts on copays so it reduced my cost $20! I'm so grateful that Carrie went above & beyond to help me with this situation! read more
