I ordered a custom birthday cake from Walmart Bakery and provided a reference photo with very specific details. The baker was a shorter African American lady with glasses. I understood they didn't have the red ribbon decorations from the inspiration photo, and I specifically told them that was completely fine. However, I emphasized that I wanted the small dainty hearts and the word "seventeen" written in small cursive script, similar to the reference image. Unfortunately, the final cake looked nothing like what I requested. The writing was thick, and not cursive at all. The small hearts I specifically asked for were completely missing. The overall design lacked the delicate, elegant look that was the main reason I chose that inspiration photo in the first place. What was especially disappointing was that while placing the order, the decorator seemed extremely confident that she understood exactly what I wanted. Because of that, my family and I felt somewhat dismissed and hesitant to continue making suggestions or clarifying details. Looking back, I wish we had pushed harder, but we trusted that our request had been understood. I understand that not every cake can be an exact replica, and I wasn't expecting perfection. However, the key design elements I specifically requested--the cursive writing and dainty hearts--were not included at all. This was my worst experience ever at Walmart. First Yvonne was helping a customer in the makeup section unlocking items I got her attention to help me next because there is not a button anywhere around the merchandise in the makeup section. She says something and then tells me to press the button for someone else I say where is the button and she ignores me and walks off. I proceeded looking for the button and it is no where to be found then I finally find it located on the outside of the section by this time several other customers are waiting and looking for a button. We waited at least 10 minutes probably more for someone to show up. Second problem I'm in line only 2 people in front of me and it's taking forever I noticed the cashier kept leaving the register several times, she was all over the place. Once I approached the register it was more than obvious she was under the influence of drugs, mouth twisting, no concentration, moving everywhere back and forth to the other register. Good shopping experience. Store is clean, parking lot is clean - I think the neighborhood in general seems clean. Its a Walmart - your not expecting luxury or getting fussed over during your shopping experience - but you can buy almost everything under one roof at low prices. Garden stuff, food stuff, car stuff - its a good way to save some time.... And saving time I like when it comes to shopping as its not one of my favorite hobbies... well, maybe with exception to buying car stuff - I don't mind spending some extra time and brain power on that. I've been recently playing around with the idea of buying a super low cost battery here at Walmart. The plus is its crazy cheap - $75?! Another plus was all the date codes on the battery were very fresh (an old battery degrades on the shelf - I buy batteries like I do dairy - the fresher the better). Costco is no longer the best warranty with batteries - they now prorate - so I've opened up my options - especially since the car I bought it for was crazy low in price - I mean I paid something like the cost of two AGM batteries for it... If you know what you are getting and know where to find it you normally won't have any problems. However, if you want something from the liquor cabinet - good luck. Today (3/17) I pushed the button several times and waiting at least 15 minutes without anybody attending. I asked 3 people for help and was ignored 3 times. I finally decided to leave. I reported this to the kid at the check out and was ignored as well. This kid seemed to wanted to be somewhere else. This isn't your ordinary Walmart, in a good way. This Walmart went through a renovation about a year or so ago and since then, this Walmart is the nicest in the area, and they're even adding a new restaurant. The management and staff keep all the shelves and products organized and clean. It just feels different when you walk in. Walmart online prices are different from in-store. There have been several occasions where the Walmart online price is significantly cheaper (example $113 to $168) than the same exact in-store product. This Walmart will not allow you to do a price adjustment even at customer service. You would be forced to order for online pick up and wait a few hours later if you want the product cheaper. I have heard of other Walmarts being able to be flexible. This is one reason why Amazon is often the choice over Walmart. This Walmart also has significantly slow customer service as they do not care. read more

We were at this location tonight and received the most atrocious excuse for customer service. Walmart has a store policy that they will price match to Walmart.com. We purchased items that did not ring up according to the scanned price. We headed to customer service to resolve the issue. We encounter a gentleman by the name of Asher, who is apparently a front end coach and the sorry excuse for the manager on duty. Not only did this man try to man-splain the policy to me. He refused to talk to me and only addressed my partner. He then decided that "we" were rude and would not price match according to the Walmart store policy. Asher then called some gentleman named Joel to escort us out of the store. Joel was on his phone while standing next to my partner. Asher has no idea what customer service is. As someone who is supposed to be training other individuals in customer service, I strongly encourage Walmart to send Asher for retraining in the customer service experience. read more

I am so upset that I placed this order on 10/17/25 for a vizio 65" paid a total of $424 in full. For an order I never received, an uber driver picked up my tv from the Walmart in Antioch Ca, located 4893 Lone Tree Wy, Antioch, CA 94531. After purchasing I got an email saying my order would be delivered in 2 hours which I did not want. I was not home. I tried to call customer service and tell them to cancel my order. The AI tracker then told me my order would be delivered on 10/18/25 which I didn't feel was true because i'm watching the tracker on the way to my neighborhood. As I'm on the phone with customer service their representative is telling me the order is being delivered 10/18 as well. My other line beeps and it is the Uber driver that doesn't speak very good English telling me they can't find my home. I let them know I am not home and take my order back to the store. I don't want it delivered from uber. "Parvideer" the driver then tells me they will take it back to the store. Next thing I know I get a text saying my order was delivered. I have a camera at my front door and the TV was never delivered. The driver couldn't find my house. Initially there was no photo showing where the TV was delivered, so where is the TV? Walmart has been giving me the round around for a product that I paid for and never received. I just want my money back or a new tv either way my money was taken and I don't have the product. No proof of delivery has ever been provided and I still haven't gotten my refund which I was told it would take 10 days to receive. I'm past waiting at this point. About a month ago, I joined the Walmart service for delivery. First year is $50. They guarantee the prices are the same if you go into the store to purchase. Not like using DoorDash, where it cost more for each item. All the Walmart is very convenient with the delivery service and the prices are reasonable. I just went to Winco this morning to compare prices for the same items that I buy at Walmart and Winco is much cheaper so all the Walmart is convenient with the delivery service. Ordered shoes for my toddler from this location as part of my delivery order. Not only were the shoes the wrong size (ordered a 4 and received size 3) these shoes were clearly VERY worn down. Its obvious someone's kid wore them, outgrew them and they "exchanged them" for the next size because they were size 3 shoes on a size 4 hanger. The tag had been cut and looped on the hanger. Unbelievable service and policy. I bought a tennis bag online from walmart and received it in June only to find out that the bag is not large enough to hold my tennis racquets. I called Walmart and they gave me the vendors info. I contacted the vendor and they sais "Oh sorry but we cannot take it back as it costs too much to ship! They said I could send it back but I have to pay for the shippingz. I bought the tennis bag from Walmart so why do I need to contact their supplier! I traveld to Walmart store and waited in line for 30 minutes only to find the Walmart agent said I had to talk directly to the manufacturer. Walmart gets 3 stars not too bad and it's ok. They can do better. Anyway, this Walmart is neat most of the time unless it gets closer to a holiday. Then it gets messy. Some of the shelves need restocking but for the most part I find most of the household items I need here. But my recent visit to this Walmart was a shocker, I found a Filipino Snack/item in international aisle, that's the first. I was happy to see that. I don't like the fact that they only have a couple registers open with a checker and the rest is self-checkout (not a fan of that). Our experience here was beyond excellent! All of those who have posted the extremely negative reviews need to revisit with an open mind. From the first step into the store to the last we were treated as welcomed guests. We should all be used to having many items locked up by now but they have so many key people to unlock them for you. It was almost like having a personal shopper. The store is very well stocked and looks like a completely different brand than most people expect in a Walmart. Great job on the remodel. The personal shoppers that push those carts most of them are nice but every time I go to Walmart there is one specific shopper by the name of Stephanie Tran I was told by a cashier. On multiple occasions she has almost hit me she pushes that cart way too fast and has no regard for people around her, she parked her cart in the way in produce, she was moving around all in a panic and out of control as if she was under the influence, even when I'm on the opposite side of the store here she comes barreling down the isle looking crazy an almost hitting customers. Someone also needs to talk to her about her hygiene her clothes smelled vile and there also was a "personal" odor coming from her, Walmart needs to do better on who they hire she is very rude I said woah excuse me u need to slow down you just hit me with your cart, she just looks at me with her long face and blank look then as she barrels off I hear her say stupid bitch. I will never understand how a multi-million dollar company is incapable of treating their employees better and be subjected to rude, ignorant, and toxic customers (yes, I'm gonna be the one to say it). I understand that it's annoying that there is a lot of stuff locked up due to theft, but treating your employees and yelling at them is not a good idea. Walmart is walmart! When you go here you know what to expect, especially with customer service. It's pretty straight forward though, you'll find everything you need here, at the best prices! That's why I won't ever stop going here! I need pajamas for the boys! They got them! You need to change a light bulb! You got it! You need some Christmas decorations on September, they got you! You need worms for your fishing trip! You got it! But you also know that mostly are locked and it's close to impossible to find someone with the key to help you. They are like an oasis in a desert! 1.Auto department closed early so when I needed to buy a battery there was no one there to take care of the core. 2. Chose pick up tome 7p-8p. Arrived 720p and they closed early. Called the number multiple times and no answr.Had to go inside to find help. Approached mobile pick up warehouse area and could hear rap music blasting. There were absolutely zero carts in the cart section. Yet, there were 2 workers standing around outside in that section, not sure what they might have been waiting on. Parking was absolutely terrible, then again, it's Walmart, and it's bound to be very busy. Their bread section was huge, and I was very surprised. Their produce section had a variety of fresh items. The aisles, for the most part, were cleaned and organized. I did see a bunch of regular items such as socks, locked up. It's sad that it has to be that way. Can't knock stars off the store for that. They have that policy because I guess they're forced to have it. They have a Mcdonald's inside, which is cool to keep the littles entertained while shopping. The workers seemed nice. As I was leaving an ambulance showed up, quickly followed by the fire department and the police. Not sure what happened, but, glad that it happened as I was leaving. read more

Customer service is non existent. Try calling and you get an "out of service" message. Show up in person and some times customer service is just closed. I was cheated out of an entire bag of merchandise and didn't notice until I had to deal with the NON EXISTENT customer service. I'm so done with this location and also canceling my subscription. Ok so I go into the Walmart and I get two sweaters that didn't have tags. I get help to scan them. Paid but but the self check wouldn't give me a receipt and had no record of my purchase except the pending in my bank account which the employee said was negative when it was clearly pending .My online account wouldn't connect for whatever reason. The employee called the manager over and I had to stand their like I was stealing and rescan the items and except their was no tag on them which is why I asked for help in the first place. I didn't like how that felt so just up ended walking away from the purchase. The thing is I paid for my things. So I'd better get a return! However, I did go inside back inside because I realized that I would be stuck. So I did go to the manager and gave her my complaint and then some. Told her I never want to come here again. She apologized and found the sweaters I had purchased after showing her the transaction and I was able to leave. It short 1. I shouldn't have walked away and stood my ground 2 the manager handled it as well as she could have and the employee should have noticed that it was a pending transaction not a negative balance. read more

Walmart + is going down they are starting to outsource the delivery to more UBER drivers and they are stealing. This particular driver stole two packs of meat, water, juice, garlic, milk. A couple days ago lady tried to wait the 5 minutes until timer went down pretended she couldn't find my apartment when she was around 200ft from my door. Had my children stop her as she was trying to drive off with over 100.00 worth of groceries because they get to keep them store wont accept them back. Walmart only refunds the money well I pay for the service because I dont have a car. Now I have to walk to get my dinner. I will be switching back to Amazon. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE! We had a screw in our tire and we are from out of town visiting family. We came in for a patch which 2 advisors said was possible. While we were shopping around thinking our car was being worked on, it was not! They moved it out of the bay and parked it with the spare still on. We went to pay for the service and the advisor said, "oh yeah...it was cancelled. We tried to call you." I had no missed phone calls and the Walmart app had not been updated as far as my service progress to tell me it was cancelled. He went to check with the worker which then they found out they cancelled the wrong car which means they couldn't have called my number. They then cancelled it in front of me and put me in the "back of the line." They told me they had to prioritize appointments before us. We explained that we were already in the bay and they moved us out without telling us which didn't make sense. They then told us it would be another 40 mins after the original 2 hours we were here. We waited another hour and came back to see my car still parked in the same spot with the spare still on. At this point we were so disappointed and upset. We spoke with a manager who was understanding and kind. He talked to the team and got things moving. Apparently the lady that was sitting in the office behind the counter was the team lead and did not step in to help until the manager talked to her. After trying every department, I even tried the Pharmacy to see if they would transfer me to someone but it was just back on hold waiting for no one. Costumer service number only provides automated information. 1hour photo phone number says it's been disconnect or no longer in service. Antioch Location (all departments) no answer after 5-10 attempts for each department. Then in person, the staff just can't wait to be done dealing with a costumer. read more
