This Walgreens is about a medium sized store. It has a Photo Dept, Pharmacy, and Drive-Thru Pharmacy. It's a clean, well stocked store. I found a big bag of cough drops for $7.99. But at 5pm, it was a bit short staffed with one cashier, and one person in the Photo Dept. The line got pretty long, and the photo clerk had to come help by opening the 2nd cash register. Their pharmacy is the worst. There is constant issues with picking up meds. They text you saying they got your prescription from your doctor, ask if you want it filled now, you say yes, then it gets lost into some Walgreens void never to be heard of again. When you call to try to find out what happened to it you will be on hold for an hour, they will pick up the phones and you'll hear them all talking in the background then they hang up on you and you're back to square one. When you do finally reach a person they will be extremely annoyed you called them. Then they'll have absolutely no clue why you got a text, how their text alert system works, or what happened to the meds in question and ask if you'd like them filled now so they can start working on them even though you already got a text they were working on them. Then depending on what your prescription is they will choose an argument to challenge you with. If you ever have a controlled med, or a mental health med of any kind, and I'm not even talking about pain meds, forget about it! They 100% discriminate based on what you're prescribed and treat you like crap by default. I've watched others who do come for pain meds be laughed and mocked out of the building. They have terrible time counting days and have to be corrected by a doctor because they will treat you like you're an idiot if you know what day you came in last. If you have a regular med for any other illness, from diabetes to kidney issues to good old heartburn, they still will either not have it, say it'll be ready and then you get there and it won't be, and in any case they will never ever have any idea who told you what, why anyone told you that, or have any answer as to why their dates are different, their system messed up, they didn't know they didn't have something, and also you must be a stupid idiot who has no idea about the meds you need/take. Even getting my 9 year old's medications are a struggle. Also, if you pull thru the drive thru and they aren't ready (after they said they would be so you're there!) they'll make you pull around and come inside or go to the end of the line so "you don't hold up the line" for THEIR mistake. My doctor is having me switch pharmacies after the holiday because her office has to call so much to fix their mess ups and won't listen to me, the patient. Save yourself the headache if you can and find a different pharmacy if your health or your kid's health is compromised or at all complex and you rely on meds. They will let you down and treat you like actual dirt while they are at it and you will leave in tears like I did for the last time. read more

Drive thru pharmacy is a game changer! Easy and quick service without having to wait in line inside the store.

I hate leaving bad reviews but I had a poor experience here today. My mother and I had vaccine appointments scheduled today - I was scheduled for a flu shot and she was scheduled for a COVID-19 booster at 6:30pm. We drove more than 30 minutes for our appointments but when we showed up, the pharmacy inside the store had closed at 4:30pm due to the "pharmacist not showing up". Sure, things happen, I understand. However, I do NOT understand why the pharmacist on duty for the prior shift or any of the techs did not contact us to let us know our appointments were cancelled. They were open until 4:30pm and ANYONE in the pharmacy staff could have called us or even sent an automated email to all scheduled patients. Multiple people showed up for their appointments and were quite frustrated as well. The manager we spoke with was nice, but she couldn't offer any solution. The pharmacy really wasted our time and gas money. read more

Possibly the worst pharmacy ever. I have had experiences here that I could not have imagined previously. Kim, who is not a good pharmacist, actually repeatedly questioned my immigration status because my husband usually picks up my meds. She assumed (her word!) that the reason my husband does this is not that I'm sick but because I am "one of those that don't have any form of legal identification." Husband is blond, I clearly am not. She actually used the term "illegal" while referring to me. And while I sat and waited for my husband to show up with ID, she massively trashed me from around the corner. Not to my face, just this disembodied voice behind the counter yelling about me and my character. And my "illegalness." The pharm tech was appalled and kept apologizing to me while I cried. Best part? She didn't even check my husband's ID, she just looked at him and decided, sure, we'll give you these prescriptions that are in another person's name. Because she "knows" him. That was fun. This person literally has full access to my med list (duh, I'm sick, that's why my husband picks up my meds?) and yet repeatedly made it clear that this was a racial issue. "You people," anyone? This woman had spoken to me previously and I had shown her my passport several times before. On that same visit she also yelled at me for honking at the drive through... which they had closed because they wanted to do so. I am disabled and was in a foot boot at the time. "Because we wanted to" was the actual answer when I asked why this accessibility measure had been taken away. Of course, by that time I had clomped on into the store in my boot to be able to actually speak to someone! Oh yeah, and they didn't have the blinds down so they could see me through the window trying to get their attention. And it was pouring rain. And I had a bad cold. There's the time that they hadn't started filling my meds even though they had texted me to say they were done... and then told me that the hold up was because they had to run a background check on me! I asked the tech if they meant the CURES system that tracks refills (which I encounter at my job) and was told nope, a background check. She was so rude and was clearly implying that they intended to find... something? Somehow it was my fault that they didn't fill my prescription. Because I know that they have absolutely no right (nor ability, right?!? I hope!) to run a background check I stayed put and they made me wait half an hour in the parking lot when there were zero people there. Zero. That was fun too. I asked for a copy of my background check and she just snorted at me and told me I was lucky I was getting my medications. The best part is that the entire store works together to make sure that you are completely unable to lodge a complaint. The store manager, who later claimed he was not the store manager but just said he was that night in the rain (why?), would not take a message for the pharmacy manager. Apparently store managers have ZERO control over the pharmacy, which just runs wild! Ok, so you call to leave a message. Then someone answers the phone, knows it is you, and YELLS, "Why are you harassing us?!" Whaaat? Literally got screamed down from someone saying they're a cashier! And somehow, I was still being incredibly polite and kind. (I mean, even with this insanity, yelling and raging isn't going to get you anywhere.) So, procedure to survive: Have doctor send in prescription. Must call pharmacy to make sure they got it. Then, and this is key: ask them to fill it. They don't seem to understand that if a prescription is sent to them, they are to fill it. Ok, the medication isn't due for a week? Not so fast! Ask if they have it in stock. No? Then ask them to order it so that it will be there in time. It is in stock? Can they fill it, put it in the safe? AND!! Please, don't give that medicine to anyone else? That all sounds so simple and common sense, but at every single question we've encountered points of failure, and everywhere in between. "Oh, you wanted that filled?" Yes, yes, I did. "Oh, you didn't want the medicine given to someone else so that you have none?" Nope, no. And also? Send the white husband to pick it up! There is one woman there also who is our godsend, and of course I'm forgetting her name. I'll update when I remember because she has done some very simple things that you'd think others could also do, but she has saved us and been kind and compassionate throughout. Thank you! read more

Walgreens pharmacy sucks. It's so sad... so close to my house but they are so bad. They can't see people in line because the windows are too high the people behind the wall/window can't see people in line, the dividers and all the product displays help hide customer visibility and their auto refill program is really bad. I just asked how many days before I'm out so they refill and she said 1 day before but yesterday was a holiday so we're weren't open and I replied thank god I didn't have a seizure that day I didn't have my medication. I'm changing to Safeway where there is nothing blocking visibility and it is much cleaner. read more

I walked into this Walgreens today to use the restroom and buy a Gatorade and something to snack on during my short lunch break, as I have frequently been doing for the past year. Today, an employee refused to assist me when I tried to use the restroom and directed me to the pharmacy (the bathroom is password locked). The pharmacy had a long line, so getting the code from them wasn't practical. A few moments later, another guy walked up to the restroom and entered the code, saying an employee gave him the code. The same employee who refused to give it to me just a moment ago. Businesses that lock their restrooms is already a pet peeve of mine, as I don't like being treated like a criminal when I'm not one. But selectively giving out the code, no matter the reason, is insulting and a great way to ensure I'll never enter this store again. Whenever me and my friends go into this Walgreens to buy something or just to look for like a makeup product, there's this Lady that has white/grey and looks like she is in her 60s that stares at us and is really rude. When I was checking out my card messed up for a sec and she starting laughing at me a little. The rest of the employees are nice but the old lady is rude. Idk if she thinks we are trying to steal or some shit but I know that stealing is not okay and I've never stolen, but ig she thinks that me and my friends are. Izabella was great! I'm not sure if I spelled it right! Maybe Ezabella! She made my day and she was very helpful and she was so easy going and made my transaction so smooth! She knows her job very well, and she knows the law and the rights of how transactions go! Legally she's on point! I can see her managing this store in the very soon future! So many people don't know how transactions go, however she knows what she's doing and she knows how to cover the store legally and she doesn't abuse her powers, unlike most of Walgreens and other stores employees! She must get a raise if Walgreens know the legal rights of their employees and how often they should get a raise legally! She should be getting a raise more often than the norm! read more

Horrible. The worst pharmacy I have EVER dealt with. Last week they refused to fill a script for pain meds (10 pills for a sprained wrist) because I had recently Picked up a controlled substance. After asking a few questions I realized that they were talking about a script I picked up FOR MY DOG. FROM MY VET!!!!!! They don't follow up if there's an issue, they wait for customer to call and then make customer wait some more while they figure it out. My husband has been wanting to switch pharmacies for years. I should have listened to him. This happens ALL THE TIME not just occasionally. We are done. read more

Told me my prescription would be filled with no problem. Later today i go in to pick it up & they said oh it's going to take 2 DAYS to come in. (Which I know is not really that long) but it's something I was informed would be here today. I go to this location specifically for the amazing woman in cosmetics. She's been there for as long as I can remember. She's nice, always working on her department and she knows about the products! I don't get that kind of service at Ulta. I didn't give 5 stars only because the shelves are so empty from all of the shoplifting. Maybe a security guard would help. read more

The pharmacist prefers to give medications to "their patients" rather than someone who drove 1 hour to their pharmacy because they told my doctor's office that they have my prescription in stock. When I called to confirm two people helped me until the pharmacist takes the phone and says in 1 hour all their patients refilled it and it's not in stock anymore and to go somewhere else. Honestly that's super unprofessional, just say it's not in stock to my doctors office if your going to gatekeep it and don't waste people's time. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR COVID-19 TESTING DONE HERE! They will mishandle and cause MASSIVE delays in getting your test results. They FedEx the tests to a lab in another state!! And we all know how great Fed Ex service is. I haven't seen such incompetence out of a "medical provider" over such an important matter in a very long time. When I started using this pharmacy a couple of years ago it was pretty good.... but the last few months have hit an all time low!!!!! Very unorganized.....short staffed... the service is just plain awful!!!! One of my prescriptions was an over the counter but I didn't know that and they didn't tell me. When I got home I realized that one was missing. In the past and at other pharmacies they will explain that and offer the over the counter. They simply didn't fill it or explain. Just ignored it!!!! This afternoon I stopped by this store. Upon waking in the door I was yelled at from the photo department with a 'Lady! you have to have a mask on to shop here!' by an employee. No Hello, No Welcome In, No Kindness at all. I was simply yelled at from across the lobby of the store. Totally unprofessional and just rude by any means. I get it, everyone is stressed out, I'm an essential employee also. However the way I was yelled at says volumes about this store. This location used to be amazing, but since the pharmacy person changed, the place has taken a tumble for the worst pharmacy EVER. No management skills whatsoever! My child's doctor called the pharmacy at this location, 2271 Balfour Rd, to get my daughter a prescription, but the doctor's office couldn't reach them so the doctor's office left a voicemail at 12:03 PM today. The doctor's office called me back to let me know they couldn't reach the pharmacy but they left a message. The nurse suggested we should give the pharmacy a minimum timeframe of an hour as the pharmacy supposedly checks their VM every hour. BUT the pharmacist didn't check the message until I arrived to the drive-thru at approximately 615pm and I had to ask them to check the VM. I explained I'm 100% sure they hadn't checked their voicemail. The female pharmacist said she had checked and there was only two messages and went to check. Guess what? The voicemail waiting for a prescription was for us since morning until now. I sat in the car watching the pharmacist check VM because I asked, had I not, she wouldn't have checked. I waited for 25 minutes to get to the front of the line to find this information out! Very unfortunate! The pharmacist told me to leave and return in 20 minutes so they could get the prescription filled with no apology. Very unprofessional. I returned to the drive-thru and waited for another 20 minutes, and when I got to the front and I was about to leave, the assistant said the pharmacist apologized as the morning pharmacist didn't check the messages. Well, I call that a bluff because she said there was two VMs. The pharmacist has no management skills. -- Also, I watched her touch her body under her collar of her shirt and shoulder with bare hands, then touch the cap of a medicine bottle she was filling with no medical gloves.. seriously gross! I needed a COVID test. Went online and received an appointment exactly when I wanted. It was the drive-thru test which was qyick, efficient and professional. Had the results back within 30 hours. Walgreens doesn't do the rapid tests so don't expect the results immediately. They do a fantastic job!! read more

My rating is for my experience with the pharmacy. I don't think I've ever had better service at a pharmacy than this one. My dentist wrote a script for an med that I was allergic to, and when I told the pharmacy technician, Tara, she was very sympathetic about it. She called my dentist for me right away, but they were already closed. She explained that I should call them in the morning and ask them to call a new script in to them. When I called my dentist the next day, they told me to have Walgreens call them- so I called Walgreens back, and when I spoke with someone in pharmacy, they let me know they had already faxed a request to my dentist. This was such a great feeling. I'm so used to being forgotten and just "another number". This pharmacy is very busy, but it is very obvious they are very detail oriented and well coordinated. When I came to pick up the med, I hadn't thought about insurance issues because I've never had a med filled from a dentist. The pharmacist was quick to come up with a solution that would help with the cost. I will certainly return for future med refills and prescriptions. read more

First off, no hello as soon as I stepped to the cashier or any customer service at all. Then, I grabbed the contact solution on the right thinking it was 3.49, went to the register and it rung up as 6.99. I told the cashier and he simply stared at me silent; said nothing. So I walked back myself realizing that they did in fact have it in the wrong place with these two switched, which is fine a typical mistake but the customer service was awful. Went back to the same cashier told him that they had it in the wrong place and the correct one rung up at 3.99, so it was STILL wrong as the tag says 3.49. He gave me the most blank stare as I told him the situation and he acted like he had no ears even though I told him politely. And then as more customers came in he welcomed them saying hi as each one came in. For some reason it seemed like he was doing this on purpose as he didn't say a word to me as I was talking to him. STRAIGHT RUDE. The fact that I gave no attitude the whole time and was pretty nice about the whole scenario it was astounding that the cashier literally was acting as if no one was right in front of him. Crazy. Also, I got no welcome when I came in from him so either I was targeted the moment I stepped in, he is very petty, or Walgreens does not care about their customers. read more

Zero stars. Customer service ranges from average to poor. The most recent bad experience was the last straw so I transferred all of my prescriptions to a different company and I do not plan on spending any more money at Walgreens period. I submitted a refill request for a couple of my medications. Apparently the system was down for several days. Instead of notifying customers about the outage and inability to fill out meds, they let us arrive to face locked doors and homemade signs about a total system failure. So I go to the other Walgreens in town and they tell me to go back to my Walgreens because they are open there. I told them I just came from there and they are closed. They insisted they had just now opened. So I drive back to find no change. Store still closed. I go back to the other Walgreens. They insist they can't fill my meds because the other Walgreens already filled it. They tell me I have to call my doctor and have a new prescription sent to this location and that I will have to pay the full price because it has already been ran through the insurance system. And it may not be filled because the system will say too soon to fill. So what are my options? During the last 5 days of system failure, Walgreens couldn't come up with a contingency plan for the customers whose meds were tied up in the system and now unavailable? I called Walgreens pharmacy this morning and spoke to an irritated lady who said there system is back up but they are really behind so I may want to go to a different pharmacy. As rude as that sounds, I would have appreciated that advice 5 days ago! After this transaction, I'm done with Walgreens. read more

So i had my covid test here for the first time, i usually do it at CVS which i always get the result within 24 hours and the process was very systematic easy access to the eesult. In walgreen the person who assisted me did not gave me my reference number so i wasn't able to retrieve my covid result online. I called the pharmacy after two days and asked for the reference number and i was told that its impossible that they did not gave it to me and there is no way she can retrieve the reference number since they throw it away right away. I was very annoyed and frustrated. That will be the first and last time im getting their service. read more

Walgreens has stuff! Lots of stuff! This newer Walgreens was close by and seemed like a place to check out. Located in a new and clean little shopping center, this store is a nice addition to the Balfour corridor. Just a couple of light off the bypass, it's easy to find and there's plenty of parking. The interior is well lit and well organized. I needed something for my little girl, so I dropped by. Well, I was hunting for posters and frames or something to mount one, but no posters could be found. Guess that's a mall item anymore. I did find the kind of light and simple poster frame I needed though. Check out was quick and easy! Matter of fact, I grabbed the wrong size frame and exchanged it for the right one with no fuss at all. read more

I am older and wiser now, I've experienced some life things, and I now know that this is the best Walgreens I've been in. My fav. It took 4 people over 40 mins to find my ins info in their system - they still couldn't find it. I have used wall greens for years and any other one except for this location is fine. It was a very expensive prescription that I needed immediately - I had to go back to my doctor immediately and have him write one out for me so I could go to a different pharmacy. They suck!!! read more
