I was leaving the MAC store and saw a posting in the window for eyebrows. Sure, why not?! First, let me say I have little faith in most brow artist because I don't grow much hair and have had struggle brows all my life. Patricia was knowledgeable and talked me through each step as she waxed my brows. She gave excellent tips and " homework " on how to grow my eyebrows. I'm leaving 5 stars because her customer service was amazing and I all around had a feel good experience in her chair. Made was recommended to me by a Facebook friend when I was searching for a makeup artist for my wedding. After doing some research, I went in to meet with Patricia. Within a few minutes of analyzing my face, she could pinpoint several things like how much time I spent in the sun and which side of my face I slept on at night. Her straight-to-the-point attitude and warm, professional demeanor put me at ease right away. This woman knew what she was doing. The whole experience, from consultation to the day of, has been so positive. Patricia coached me through getting my skin healthier (sunblock everyday, take makeup off every night, no excuses!) And supporting me through Brow Bootcamp (castor oil, NO PLUCKING!) There's always that fear on your wedding day that something will go wrong or your makeup won't turn out the way you want. I made an appointment for makeup and eyelash extensions a week and a half before the date I wanted to come in. When I went in I was told that she was all out of the long black eyelashes because of prom. She attempted to apply the short brown eyelashes instead. Bad decisions because they looked like you know what!! She was very apologetic and continued to insist that wasn't her work, WRONG! It was your work because 1 my appointment was scheduled in advance 2 you should keep all products in stock and 3 you shouldn't cater to high school kids. If the owner reads this, this review is obviously only based on my first and last visit to your establishment. I can't believe how awesome this place is! This is definitely the up-n-comin area in Brentwood. Isis did a fantastic job on my brows, arms, face, and bikini - bascially my entire body! She is very professional and knows what she's talking about, not just about waxing but make-up and skin too!!! My first experience at MADE was about a year ago. My mom and I went in off of the referral of a friend to get eyelash extensions done. They came out awesome!! Patricia is such a sweetie and knows her art well :) (Just be cautious when they start falling out not to pull them off 'cause your real ones will come with it too- which she warned us about) While I was there I noticed her awesome display of makeup so I asked if she did weddings... Skip forward to October, Patricia was my makeup artist for the big day. She drove out to Walnut Creek to do my mom and my makeup bright and early on a Saturday morning. My makeup looked AMAZING!!! I felt beautiful and not too caked on. After partying my butt off all night we had brunch and I swear my makeup looked exactly as it did when she finished! The morning of my wedding I was a ball of nerves (highly unusual for me), and Patricia was sooo good at noticing when my mind got carried away. She would just tell me to take a deep breath and relax so I could calm my energy. Went in for a scheduled Brazilian wax. This wasn't my first wax, but my first Brazilian wax wasn't thee best. Here at MADE I had an amazing experience. Oh mind you I am 35 week pregnant and Jackie made it very comfortable for me and she was very thorough and she took herring with me. I have to say it wasn't as painful at all. She was very patient with me and went back for any hairs she didn't get. By far THEE best Brazilian wax I've had! Calling beforehand, the lady whom I spoke with on the phone was very kind and reassuring. When I walked in, the place was very clean and I was greeted by friendly faces. The ladies were very informative, and I noticed that she really took her time to "carve out" my eyebrows. I went here yesterday--I have a 4 month old and had dashed off for my first of 5 business meetings that day. Between getting my baby packed up and dropped off to Grandma's and making a run for the meetings, I hadn't had a chance to do my make-up. Feeling crummy at my first meeting, I popped in at M.A.D.E in Brentwood and Patricia did a quick make-over for me so I looked great for the rest of my business meetings! While she was doing my make-up, she taught me tips and tricks, especially for harried moms on the go. I really liked this "V" eye trick she did that was like an eye lift! When I told her I already liked my mineral powder, she said great! She didn't try to sell me on products that I already had. She said we don't need to fix what's not broken. I really appreciated that about her--she wasn't giving me all the sales pitches. What I love most is how product-friendly her stuff is, ie: not tested on animals and made in the US. Plus I love supporting a small business owner--this isn't like a Mary Kay line that is everywhere, she has gone out and done her own thing. I really admire that. Not easy to do!
