I had a nice experience at this CVS Pharmacy. Although I dropped by to purchase a coupe of items, I have to say that the service was pretty top-notch. First the cashier was super friendly and very helpful. For my main purchase, I wanted to buy a pair of cheap ear buds. The cashier provided me with plenty of options that included ways to save quite a bit of money on the ear buds. Basically, the ear buds pretty much ended being friend with his coupon recommendations. Overall, the store had a nice layout that is similar to other CVS Pharmacies. This particular store was well organized and pretty clean. read more

CVS let down their community today. We had a snowstorm (not that bad-cars and plow trucks on the roads and we had a weeks notice) and they are closed. This is an essential business. People were not able to get essential items like medication, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Why is it that Mom's Grocery Store, Chipotle, O'Sullivan's, Liberty Tavern, and coffee shops (Northside Social, Starbucks) could come to work today, but CVS couldn't manage? Not only were these other businesses open, but their employees were out shoveling the sidewalks. What soft times we live in. Not showing up to work to sell basic necessities puts the community at risk and is shameful. I will be supporting those business who decided to show up for their community and will not be shopping at CVS. read more

Almost forgot it was here. Rolling out from a day in wicked hot DC, this one has a surprising amount of parking for an Arlington business. Used to live here and go to this one. The area is much nicer now, and it's shocking how much has changed. This CVS had really good deals on Gatorades and waters. The employees were friendly. Also A plus for cleanliness! I liked how well they kept this store looking sharp. The self checkout kiosk here is annoying. It's above my pay grade, but hoping the corporate folks can take care of that. read more

Convenient, no-frills, quick service. This CVS offers the Pfizer vaccine, and appointments are easy to get. They have this little area for vaccination (flu, COVID, you name it), and a cordoned off area for you to sit for 15 minutes after receiving the COVID vaccine. See photos. We booked an appointment for COVID vaccine on CVS's website (which involves many protracted steps including uploading scans of insurance cards), and arrived a few minutes before our time slot. The pharmacist signed us in quickly via his computer, and the whole process was over in a few minutes. Not much explanation or questioning, as all forms, disclaimers, and vaccine fact sheet were offered digitally in the sign up process. Love the convenience and neighborhood location. read more

It was cold outside. It is Virginia in the winter, after all. Not knowing the area, I was without a clue as to what was open and where, to find toiletries that TSA had tossed aside like a used orange peel. 11:32 PM. It's late. Is there anything other than bars open in this area? I didn't know. Suddenly, I saw the neon lights like a beacon in the dark. "Open 24 hours." Yes, the search was over. I ran across the street, past the Metro station and waved to a driver that let me cross in the road. It is really cold at this time of night; I'm just happy there is no snow on the ground to cause me to slip. The lights aren't too bright and surprisingly, people are shopping. There isn't a lone person in there; it's busy. I whisk past the displays of nuts and chocolate. In front of me is a much bigger display of wine than I anticipated. The prices aren't bad at all. "2/$10." It's mix and match deal. I picked up a bottle of Barefoot's moscato and a white zinfandel, remembering that white zinfandel was the only wine I enjoyed at a winery in Mexico two days prior. I walked through the aisles, unsure of what else to purchase. I settle on gum. You can never have too much gum. Headed to the checkout counter with my items, I noticed that nobody's at the register. CVS has a bizarre set-up. The cashier stands in front of the self-check kiosks to help patrons. Making eye-contact with the cashier she hurriedly shuffled behind the counter and rang me up. With her tight braids and easy smile, she seemed nice. I consistently feel the need to explain myself when there is a silence. I told the cashier I live in Vegas and wondered what good restaurants were around the area. She looked surprised. Everybody looks surprised when you say you live in Vegas. It's really not that special. The cashier recommended a restaurant across the street from where I stayed and I left. Back into the cold. Thank God it's not windy. Throughout the course of my work trip, 1/13-16/12, I visited another couple of times to pick up other items. Looking for the perfect thank-you card is better left to browsing another store; the selection is lacking at this particular CVS. Overall, the store was decent, but nothing spectacular. read more

I used to go to the one right across from my office in Rosslyn, then my office moved and I've been struggling since to find one that is most convenient to me location-wise. This one is only a few minutes walking distance from my new office, so I think it is my final choice. Came today to pick up two prescriptions. Service was friendly, prompt and professional. Will update if that changes on future visits, but for now, I'm impressed. read more

The people who work at the pharmacy are so incredibly incompetent it hurts. 1 out of 4 people that work there actually know what's going on. The rest, give you the most absurd answers to every question. They need to do something about this. I need my medicine to live and yet I can't get it now cause no one knows what's going on. Pretty good location. I was able to find everything I needed, just not very quickly. The store layout was a little confusing and different than any other CVS I've been to. They had a pretty decent selection of skin care products, including an assortment of those same products in a trial size (nothing worse than buying a big bottle of something, only to find that it doesn't give you the results you seek). There were also large pallets of yet-to-be-stocked items in the aisle, blocking shelves containing products that I needed. I was able to squeeze my arm through and get them just as an an employee came over and offered to assist. The pallet remained untouched the whole time I was there. If it is not being actively unloaded, it should remain in the back and otherwise out of the way. In the front of the store, they had displays containing a collection of useful little pocket- and purse-sized items (e.g., hand lotions, lip balms, tweezers, hair pins, nail polish, accessories, snacks...) to buy. It took a lot of willpower not to pick up a bottle or two of the 'Frida Kahlo' nail polish they were selling. I like that this location has self check-out. It's a good thing too... because aside from the aforementioned staff member, as well as another employee who came and took my basket after I checked out, the place was a ghost-town. This is by far my favorite CVS. It's 24 hours and I can walk to it. All the employees seem to remember me. There always pleasant even at four in the morning. They have great sales and it's even fun to extreme coupon. I go late at night when I can browse and be left alone. The only drawback is going on weekends at night when all the drunks are out there's even been a few fights... I'm talking full on MMA knock outs. I've only been to the pharmacy a couple times. That was not as pleasant. The pharmacist said he would speak to my doctor when my claim was denied for a prescription. There was some miscommunication on both sides. Clearly there was no interaction between the two of them. Hence I had to pay out-of-pocket for my medication on 2 occasions. Anyway if you're in Clarendon and need food, cold medicine or anything else you can definitely rely on this CVS. read more

I go to this CVS pretty frequently as its right by the Clarendon metro station. It can seem a bit disorganized and chaotic in some of the sections. If you are just going by for a quick stop it isn't a bad location. On the positive side they have sandwiches, fruits, and salads in the front area which is pretty nice for CVS to have. This is a solid CVS location but nothing special really about it. read more

The staff at the pharmacy are always super helpful and will go above and beyond for their clients. I've had different medications that have had to be special ordered or insurance requirements that needed extra attention, and everyone there has done such a wonderful job in solidifying the process. My place of employment is right next to this CVS location and it is a god send. It is my place to escape the office, get some steps in, peruse, spend my money on more make up, grab a snack...and if I'm feeling fancy I might perform all of the above. The employees are super friendly and usually make sure to say hi/bye to all customers, even helping me bag my items at the self check out lanes. I stopped by this CVS on a Monday morning around 7:15 in October 2017. I had just stepped off the train at the Clarendon metro station when I realized I'd forgotten my chapstick, and my lips were already chapped. Since this CVS was just a few minutes' walk from the metro station, I swung by to pick up chapstick and some deoderant, since I was running out of that at home too. The CVS was pretty empty when I arrived; not surprising given the hour. The deoderant was easy to find; the chapstick was not. However, the employee working at the store at the time was friendly and was able to give me the exact aisle number when I asked where the chapstick was. Check-out was pretty quick and easy. Overall, a decent CVS in a good location, and it's hard to beat the convenience of a 24/7. read more

Went in to buy some shampoo. Had a coupons ..... The cashier refused to use them. When I asked for a manager he said he was the shift "supervisor" but would call over someone else. BUT he will say the same thing. Well the manager came Over very sweet man. He said he would take my coupons but then the "supervisor" pulled him to the side and stated he needed to read the policy on the coupon -_- both of them are going back and forth arguing about the coupons FINALLY the manager tell him to accept my coupons and ring them up. Supervisor refused logged out of his register and said he would not do it on his register ... Manager had to log in and ring me up. "Supervisor" went to another aisle where there was another employee and u could hear him talking about me and my coupons . I definitely want to call corporate and complain about this guy. So this incident that I'm about to describe happened about a year and a half ago. I was so traumatized by how I was treated that I think I suppressed it and refused to write a review. After a night of drinking, I went into CVS to look for a restroom to use. I know that a lot of stores have a policy about only customers being able to use their facilities. I asked a cashier where the restroom was and she said that they did not have a restroom. Refusing to believe that, I went up to another store employee (or so I thought) named Abraham and asked if I could use the restroom. I mentioned that I would purchase something to use the bathroom. Abraham was with one of his friends (not a store employee) and his FRIEND responded "why don't you buy a coke bottle, drink it and then piss in it??" I have never encountered anyone who was so crude before that I asked to speak to a manager. Abraham claimed that he was the manager!! My friends had to drag me out of the CVS b/c I was about to flip the switch on this dude!! I ended up going to Goody's to use their restroom. I was in awe at how these store employees treat customers. If they do not let people use their restroom, at least have the decency to say that, NOT let their friend tell me to buy a coke bottle and do my business in it!! I remember now why I stopped coming to this place. The employees here are extremely rude. I got kicked out of this particular location, only for the fact that I had my 9 week old puppy in my arms. I understand the No pet policy, however if she had a bit of a heart, she could had given me a warming and next time, I would had known better. Another thing, you are located in effin Clarendon! Most of your clients are pet owners who Im sure wouldn't leave their dogs in the car in such cold weather. You cruel heartless dog hater woman!! Been to this CVS countless amount of times for all sorts or purposes and yes even for grocery shopping. Believe it or not they actually have good sales here. Usually i've been here late at night when there aren't too many people around, easier to shop isle by isle and thanks to my friend who taught me all about extreme coupon to save lots of $$$. The staff is always very friendly and willing to help. Best time to go here are weeknights and try to avoid weekend nights when all the drunks are out as this CVS is surrounded by different bars and they are open 24/7. It's a CVS. It's like most all of other CVS locations. It's a bit dated, but it's got aisles full of everything from medicine to household goods. What I like about this location is that the pharmacy stays open late. Unfortunately, the CVS locations closest to me have pharmacies that close at 5:30pm or 6:00pm. But this pharmacy is open until at least 10:00pm. And that's so totally awesome. So if you're in a pickle and need a prescription filled ASAP and it's 9:30pm at night, this is your place to go. read more

Chicagoland Walgreens, I miss you, so! But the super convenient Clarendon CVS with oodles of great bath, makeup, and other products actually has a much better selection than most Chicagoland Walgreens. What jerks. This place is always a mess. Tonight just made me mad enough to post this. I put in a photo order at about 3:30 pm. It's 1 hour photo. Went over there at 7 pm. ONE guy was working and no registers were open. Yes, no registers open, he's just directing people to pay at the self check out stands. When I asked him to get my photo order, he was like "when did you send it, it's probably not ready..." When I told him it was about 4 hours ago, he looked and said, "oh sorry, we're out of paper, so it didn't print... you'll have to come tomorrow." Huh? So you have 1 hour photo but not if you're out of paper, and why are you out of paper? I told him that I wouldn't be back. Go to Walgreens down the street - the service is much better and the people nicer. This CVS is a real mess. read more

This is my favorite CVS in Arlington. There's always an employee at the front who greets me whenever I enter the store. Their pharmacist was very helpful when my insurance denied my claim. The pharmacy staff is also excellent, going above and beyond to provide me with phone reminders about refills. This is a 24-hour store; therefore, their inventory of travel-sized snacks and products is much better than at other CVS stores. Their automated self-checkout is awesome. There's no hassle of interacting with an uninterested, awkward employee. I was always able to find whatever I wanted, quickly pay, and go about my merry way. Tip: Keep an eye out for their discounted merchandise, usually at the end of the season. I have found name-brand nail polishes and office supplies at 75%+ off. read more

I ordered 1 hour photos and 2 days later (and a phone call to remind them to print my pictures when they promised a day later they would be printed), I went into the store and no pictures. To make it worse, I couldn't find anyone to help me for a while and when some one did help me, he couldn't figure out how to print the pictures. He kept messing with the machine and didn't give any updates on what was happening. We spent 30 minutes in the store and finally told him to cancel the order. There should have been some sort of alert that the pictures were delayed, there could have been any kind of customer service, and it would be nice if they knew how to print pictures. :-( I ordered my pictures from Target. read more

This CVS is an extremely busy location. I've gone to this location many times in the past two years since I've worked in Arlington and have had mostly good interactions with staff. Today, however, was not one of them. The staff members were helpful in assisting me and my colleague with determining the best gift cards however, since we were using my boss's credit card without her being present the staff member would not complete our purchase. While I was upset because I've used the credit card before without an ID I could understand the policy. The unfortunately twist for CVS happened less than two hours later when another coworker went into the same CVS to purchase the same 19 gift cards for the same price with the same credit card and was not asked to provide her ID. The only difference was that me and my colleague were a black female and black male. My other coworker who went to make the same purchase was a white female. I would have understood if she was told the same policy as us but she wasn't. The cashier was very pleasant and did not question her motives on buying $400 worth of gift cards. NOT COOL CVS! Painfully slow clerks here with zero sense of urgency. They're nice but really really don't seem to care about your time at all. Sometimes they seem purposefully slow here. Two clerks taking care of one customer each, in the next one, waited 17 minutes. Ridiculously slow and inconsiderate clerks here. Management must not care. read more

As far as CVS locations go, this one is pretty good. There's a wide variety of selection from drugs to food to cosmetics to cleaning supplies. It pretty much keeps me from ever having to visit a Wal-Mart, so that's probably the best part about it. Parking can be difficult to find so either take the metro or walk. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that it's virtually all self-check. While self check can sometimes be nice to get out of a business quickly when you only have one item and there's a long line, it can be quite cumbersome when you have more than a few things to scan. The store is 24 hours and the pharmacy section stays open pretty late too, so that's a definite plus. read more

With the Ballston location not easily accessible due to the mall renovation, I switched over to the Clarendon location. So glad I made the move. Friendly and helpful staff greet you on entering the store and the place is well organized and usually clutter free in the aisles. It's also nice that you have the option of using the regular check out counter instead of the self service kiosks that are not user friendly. This store is also conveniently located across the street from the metro station. The pharmacy staff is super friendly, efficient, and always helpful when I have questions. It's so nice to be remembered by name when I come in for my usual items. Special thanks to Andrew at the pharmacy for providing such great service. read more

just recently started going to this cvs and think it is great. Manager is pleasent unlike the one at the 1100 wilson blvd location. It is nice to see a smiling manager and one that i do not see smoking outside of the door like at the one i mentioned. I came to this cvs because i witnessed the supervisor who smokes at the mentioned one berate a nice young lady and i she ended up leaving for the day (i think she quit as i did not see her since). It is nice to come to a cvs and not see the manager smoke/smile all the time/ nor berate there employees. I do wish i saw that nice young lady again though, she was always professional. read more

If you like to pay money to get treated like a thief, shop here!!! So I am new to the area and after just landing from a cross country flight I needed to pick up a few things. I'll admit I looked a little disheveled, probably because I didn't have the things I needed to get cleaned up, hence my entire reason for being at CVS in the first place. I purchased a shaving razor, hairbrush, and nail clippers, then went on my merry way. Only to have the store manager chase me down while I was walking into Starbucks. To be fair, HE was accusing me, of shoplifting, because apparently another customer told a member of his staff, and then they told him, that I was putting things in my pocket. Since I was already far outside the store, and I knew I hadn't stole anything in the first place I questioned weather or not he had the right to stop me outside the store. He told me he did, so I showed him my items and my receipt, he then said "where's the gum!"... to which I said "WHERE'S THE GUM!?!?! i DIDN'T TAKE ANY GUM!" (seriously, who the hell steals gum anymore anyway?) He then told me that someone had reported me shoplifting and he wanted to know if I wanted to watch the footage with him. I said "sure" while being obviously frustrated... I think this confused him because he hurried back to his store, probably to watch the footage of me... paying for my merchandise...how exciting... I went back to the store to complain, he maid a half-sincere apology, and shook my hand, although for what I am not sure.... The entire experience was very frustrating considering I am a law abiding citizen and someone probably reported me shoplifting because they thought I looked suspicious! In reality it doesn't matter what a person looks like, you cant detain a person for looking suspicious!!! Either way I will do everything I can to avoid this store at all costs, and I would suggest management be a little more skeptical when getting shoplifting tips from other store customers read more

Sheesh, I do like CVS but I have to stop liking it because it's too darn expensive. I admit that having this drug-store chain so close to my job is fabulous but it makes me so upset to go into Target and find the exact same item for 60-cents less. Aaaaaargh! This a review for the pharmacy. The store itself is subpar, compared the amazing CVS stores in TX. Anyway, I've been going to this pharmacy for 2 years and they are AWESOME! They've dealt with several RXs and never messed up, even in confusing changes and last minute requests. There is never a line and they are so good about serving you right away (my old pharmacy used to make is wait 10-15 mins to be served and pretended we weren't there - also a CVS). I wish I knew the pharmacists names but there is one gentleman who is always so nice and attentive. Also a girl with long blonde hair that is very sharp and helpful! read more

Store manager wouldn't allow to check out in the self service line, cancelled my transaction twice from her register and when I asked for help walked away cursing me and would not come back. I had to go find another employee to help. He got the self service check out to work fine. I don't know WHAT that manager's problem is but SHE was rude and supremely unprofessional. I would think hard on whether you want to keep an employee who doesn't care about customer service and apparently curses at customers CVS. She was intentionally LESS than helpful. Thank god for the other employee, he actually helped. I would have asked what her name was but she likely would have cursed at me again! read more
