Horrible pharmacy experience at this location. The service is terrible and the staff are unhelpful. You don't see anyone smiling and they appear to be overworked. This has been going on for quite a while and has gotten worse since the Rite Aid closed. Just a few weeks ago, I asked a question about a text I received from the pharmacy. I showed the pharmacy clerk the message and his response "I don't know" then just stared at me. I think it's time to move pharmacies. read more

I came here again today on October 21st, 2023. The staff is always very friendly and they work pretty hard since they don't have that many workers working each time I come. The building is old but it's in a nice and peaceful location. I love coming here for simple things like drinks and ice. They always have some kind of fun holiday or seasonal section with affordable fun items that I love checking out too when I'm here. I've used the pharmacy a couple times and the ladies have always been patient and kind with me. I've also come here twice to get passport photos for myself and my family and the staff were very helpful each time. Seriously this staff works hard running back and forth helping customers. SO DISAPPOINTED! I have been doing business here for years. I pay 1,300 plus per month for my PPO health insurance. The only good thing I had with my health insurance was the cost of my prescriptions. (Usually less then $1.00 ....some were $10 but very reasonable) NOW I pick up my prescriptions at CVS and CVS now puts a $9.99 processing fee on every prescription!!! And of course they NEVER mentioned this HUGE increase on EVERY prescription! THE sad thing is they blamed Blue Shield for the increase. I called my insurance company and they informed me of CVS "filling fee". CVS denied changing any processing fee!!!! My drugs went from less then $20 to almost $100! I hope this alerts people to what you are doing. Big Pharma???? And I am a RN for 40 years! I guess they are not making enough money!!!! read more

The brand new COVID-19 booster is now available! The much needed updated booster targets both the current BA.5 subvariant of coronavirus, as well as the original strain. You should also know that California law entitles you to paid COVID days when you use the time to get vaccinated and to recover from the vaccine. SB 114 is scheduled to end at the end of the month, so get yours scheduled. My paid recovery day was yesterday, but it's looking like another down day today (Saturday), too. Those vaccines hit me hard! Anyway, I've gotten both of my boosters from this CVS, and they were both good experiences. This last jab hurt quite a bit, not gonna lie, but the experience was quick, efficient, clean, friendly. I've also been able to get the BinaxNow tests here when they were quite difficult to procure last winter. It's a quiet and hidden CVS in Anaheim Hills that flies under the radar. Horrible experience! Had to pick up prescriptions for my parents. It took 3 different trips to get everything that was needed. One medicine was given without talking to a pharmacist. I had to go back for exact same medication because they didn't fill the second prescription, and I had to wait to talk to a pharmacist. They also said medication would be ready at a certain time and it took an additional 30 minutes of waiting to fill. In addition to the above problems, service was horrible! Wow, wow, wow. Employee Frank is HR's worst nightmare! This location has emplemented a push towards the self check, yet always have an employee there. So because I have beer, I have to wait while good ole Frank pulls 5 customers from behind me to self check. I finally say something, his reply is "I don't care sir, go next door". Charming. So if he's there to check my ID, why can't he help me at self check?? So the fifth customer needs something from behind the counter, hateful Frank says " let me get you started then I'll go grab it". I am shocked by the negative reviews of this Pharmacy in Anaheim Hills. This review is for the Pharmacy, not the CVS store. I have little to no experience with the store itself. I live in Santa Ana, work in Yorba Linda and have made this my home pharmacy even though it is a little out of the way for me. The pharmacists are always helpful. Everyone at the counter speaks english and are always nice to me. When they are busy they will often have additional staff come to the register to help with the lines. Sometimes a person will be working two registers to speed things up. I get my prescriptions filled accurately, fast, and when they say. I get a text telling me when I have something to pick up. I could not be happier with the service levels of this Pharmacy. Sorry if others have had other experiences. read more

I bought these Starface pimple patches containing 32 stars but got 16 stars back, so someone must've opened the package and steal the other 16 stars because the packaging itself is easy to take out. The staff here literally made me cry... I went in at 10:30ish. I was so excited to see they had an amazing selection of makeup and girl stuff that they don't have at other CVS'. I bought almost $50 worth of product. First, when I went in there was NOBODY to be found anywhere, I had to yell around walking around the whole store to finally find an employee. I was trying to print my coupons and their machine wasn't working. I asked an employee and they rudely said "it doesn't work". So I inquired about how I could see my coupons, maybe on an app or some thing. And they made it seem like I was the dumbest person for asking. At 10:58. They made an announcement on the loudspeaker saying they were closed and to bring your purchases up. I've still was looking at a pair of nails and I thought I had two minutes left. The manager a lady was basically following me around telling me the store was closed as I was trying to walk down the aisle to find what I needed. When I went up to the register at about 11:01 one, I asked if I could grab a drink really quick. The guy that was going to check me out rudely said no we need to close. I said OK no problem. So I was he was checking me out. He wouldn't answer any of my questions about how much things were and if they were on sale. Unfortunately, I left my card in the car. I asked if I could go grab it really quick as I was in the very front parking space, and the employee said no you can go maybe come back tomorrow I guess. I said I was sorry, but it would take me maybe 10 seconds to grab my card and then I would be out of their hair.. thankfully the manager begrudgingly said, go ahead and grab it. I've never been treated so rudely at any store ever. Mind you I work in food service and deal with people coming in right before I close all the time and I have never treated anybody like that. Re: covid vaccinations at this location. They were swift and friendly, but hygiene concerns me. After my shot, while waiting the standard 15 minutes as advised, I heard the pharmacist (who was administering the vaccines) say that he needed the pharm tech to get more syringes ready with vaccines. The tech came out to the area where the vaccines were being given, and started to fill syringes as requested. HOWEVER, I noticed that he was handling the syringes and the bottles of vaccine without gloves! Even a tattoo artist would wear gloves.... why wouldn't medical personnel do the same especially in this pandemic?! read more

What is not to like about this CVS , one of my favorites especially the pharmacy. They always welcome you as soon as you walk in. I love the front desk , Gabby and Justin are the supervisors ! Love them two. Then we have all very professional employees stocking during the day to meet your needs ! They always ask if you could find everything you needed. Will actually take you to the aisle where your items are. The pharmacy, they are one of the best in the country ! Mila and all the technicians are patient and willing to help ! With Covid19 we have to be 6 ft apart, sometimes short handed ! Pls be patient with the staff in the pharmacy. They have big jobs to do and have to fulfill a large number of customers ! Pharmacy Review: RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! a doctor sent over a prescription for me and keep in mind that i have insurance... i went to pick it up and they wanted to charge me $80! why? they had processed it through WITHOUT my insurance. i shouldn't have to pay anything with my insurance. so when they reprocessed it, i had to wait for them to basically redo my entire prescription. the lady, Elva, rudely said i can wait "over there". and then when it was finally ready, i wanted to ask the pharmacist a question about when to start my medication. he was SO RUDE. he acted really annoyed when i asked him when to start it. like sorry for asking you a question about your job?? it was a really frustrating and aggravating experience. do yourself a favor and please go elsewhere read more

NEGATIVE STARS! I would never want negative stars for any business, but in the case of CVS Pharmacy here in the hills I would vote -2.5 Stars. There is something about the Pharmacy staff that is cult like here at CVS Anaheim Hills. Almost like if they hire their friends then nobody will be accountable or something like that. Look at the staff, there is something really wrong going on here. When you complain they always back each other up like it's OK, or it only happens once in a while, but judging from the reviews it sounds like it must happen on a regular basis. Maybe I'm just unlucky? It seems that I'm always getting the wrong order, they can't process my ins., or something else that doesn't happen at other Pharmacy's.... jeez! As for the store itself, it has much to figure out. Often times they have a line that travels down the isle (10 people deep) waiting for someone to come running out of the back to help out after it's too late. Been going to this CVS since it opened. For about the last 8 years the pharmacy has been slow, disorganized, and needed help in the customer service department. Today was the last straw and the last dollar I'll be spending at this store. I picked up 3 eye drop prescriptions for my husbands cataract surgery, each about 3ml -Price $495. Wow! Hand written in blue ink it said on the Prolensa "online coupon???" I asked why I wasn't told about the coupons before picking up. No answer. The young man did say if I found a coupon they would refund my money. So I found 3 coupons for all 3 meds. antibiotic was about $10 off, Durezol $30 total instead of CVS $170.48 Prolensa $35 total instead of CVS $ 248.14 So that's $365 that would be refunded to me. Except they wouldn't refund the Prolensa; said only Walgreens and other independent pharmacies took the manufacturers coupon. I asked why I wasn't told in advance about the coupons or informed if a generic could be used. Paul F. said it's not his responsibility to let people know about the coupons or what each person insurance covers. Really? I think that knowing what's covered on the insurance formularies is exactly what his job is. The more upset I got the more he acted like he was being inconvenienced. What is really scary is that there are 3 senior living homes in the same lot, across the street and kitty corner. I shudder to think that a neighborhood pharmacy might overcharge seniors because it's not their responsibility to inform them of coupons or possible generics. And the last comment. Worst customer service and manager ever! I was trying to check out quickly because there is a covid outbreak at work so I wanted some rapid tests. He shuffled me to the self check out and was helping someone else so I said "I've done self check out before". I'm sure I came across as short because I'm tired and stressed. But nothing appalling. His response "well then what's with the attitude?" A manger said this! I of course then told him never to speak to me in that way again and he continued to be rude. I have never been spoken to by anyone in the service industry in this way. I have worked in retail and the service industry for many years and I've never heard anyone respond to a customer in such an inappropriate and rude way. He should be fired. Wow what a sad store this CVS is. They have so many miss marked items all over the store floor. I tried to buy an iPhone charging cord that was in a $5.99 shelf at the counter as I was checking out. The woman at the regester rang up the cord for $12.00. I explained that it was in the $5.99 shelf. There were a lot more there. she said they must have made a mistake because it rang up the higher amount. I asked to get it for the price it was shown on the shelf. She would not do that... I recently received a prescription from Express Scripts in the mail. I had been getting the same prescription from CVS and now I was receiving my prescription from someone else with a different pill. When i called the pharmacy to see what happened, the woman who answered told me to call Express Scripts who sent me the pills. I asked her if there was someone there who could tell me if the pills were the same, as I had major side effects when I started the pills. She said there was no one who would know. I asked her if this was a pharmacy and she said yes but there were too many pills for the pharmacist to know the difference, even tho I had the pill numbers. I could not believe what I had heard. I called Express Scripts (this was a Sunday) and in less than five minutes I had an answer. The woman told me what could have happened and transferred me to a pharmacist who answered all my questions. The pills although different in size, shape and number were the same. This probably applies to all CVS locations b/c it happened to me at the one on La Palma & Imperial as well.. No restroom available, even for a disabled/handicapped customer like myself. Very rude and cold attitude by the manager when I asked for one even after being told of my medical condition. I called the corporate office and filed a complaint. Next day, the district manager called me to apologize but said that CVS is NOT legally required to provide bathroom facilities b/c it does not sell 'food' items. I am not a lawyer but I would think that the size of the business or the number of patrons would be a factor in applicable laws, especially for a drug store. Even if it's not a legal requirement, potential customers should be aware that CVS does NOT accommodate their pharmacy customers with a bathroom usage even if you have a medical condition. read more

The only reason this CVS Gets a one star rating is because there is not a -5 option. Used the automated refill service to refill a prescription was told by the automated service that it would be ready at 11 AM that same day. Went in the next day to pick up the prescription was told by pharmacy staff that they are out of stock. I inquired if the medication has been ordered? Was told no the automated service and the inventory control system don't communicate. REALLY? This is not the first time this is happened to me at this pharmacy. What's the point of the automated system if it's not accurate? Now I'm questioning the validity of their pharmacy staff, are they even certified pharmacists? Are they licensed?
