I have now decided to alter drastically my review of CVS. Previously, I decried the romanticization of mom-pop pharmacies, which tend to underpay workers, deprive them of benefits, and make life difficult for customers because of no centralized repository. (Forgot your pills before you headed off to Oklahoma City for a conference? Have fun trying to get some there without a nationwide database where you can easily transfer prescriptions from store to store.) I still love centralization, but CVS -- mark my words -- is basically the next Blockbuster Video business casualty. Every time you go to this place, it's like taking a time machine back to one of the two 1970s oil shocks where lines for gasoline stretched around the block. Standing in line is watching an arrogant business hang itself as it ignores easily resolvable logistics inefficiencies. Whoa.... what's that noise I hear in the background? Someone named Bezos is laughing. In an evil way. And I am cheering him on. read more

Terrible customer service. Went to buy three drinks with a posted discount. Waited in line for five or ten minutes to pay. Used self-pay and discount didn't go through. Asked for help from staff which took another five or ten minutes including going back to check the posted signs regarding the discount. Finally, the staff member said my only option was to go to the regular cashier. At this point I'm frustrated and annoyed, but these things happen. Then, instead of letting me go directly to the cashier, she said I had to wait in line again. What the heck??? I had already waited a long time to pay now she's making me wait in line again. I am not a person who EVER write negative reviews. But these 2 female pharmacy employees were just plain rude. Both Asian female one tech the other is pharmacist. I was picking up a prescription at the drive through window for the second time. First time I went there only part of my orders were ready( after 4 hours dropped off) and the guy(at least he was very nice) told me to wait for an hour for it to get ready. So I went home and waited until I got another text from cvs then I went. This one lady was just ignorant and rude from the beginning. She never told me to give her my ID but came back said very rudely"Like I said I will have to see your ID!" I let it go pretended like she did tell me. and then they had trouble with my just renewed California ID with my old pictured ID! I had been picking up from this location for a while now and tonight really needed the prescription! They could just nicely tell me to go home and get another form of ID I Would totally run for the THIRD TIME TO GET A PRESCRIPTION dropped off 5 HOURS AGO! But they were both soooo rude and condescending about it and repeated themselves like it's fun for them! I will definitely change pharmacy although I have been going to cvs since forever. There's plenty of pharmacies I can go and I do not have to deal with this. Cvs please at least train your pharmacy employees to be respectful and compassionate. Just because someone is picking up a controlled medication doesn't mean this person is less than anyone. Maybe because she has been going through a harder than most people life all along internally and YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND. read more

I literally just went there to buying Tylenol cold+flu pills, everything was fine since the rude employee a lady looks like she hasn't sleep a week , no greeting that's ok cuz she looks tired but what u doing was sucks , she didn't ask me for the cvs rewards card (cuz I knew there's couple stuff needed the card otherwise will paying more) then I asked her do u need to scan it? Then she with her shit face said yup? I was like are you questioning me? Wtf? And she was talking to her co-worker next to her all over the time and not even saying goodbye greeting word. So disrespectful, first of all, u get pay to work then u should do your best. Ok! I came to the store looking for a thermometer for my child and this guy named MICHAEL was so rude telling me there's no thermometer, well in Fact it was behind Him. I pointed it out to him but he arrogantly said no. I even over hear him saying fuck you thats what gets our attention that this is not right how to treat customer or more so a woman. This makes us scared to go cvs and seek emergency/immediate stuff that we need in case of emergency like this. been a regular customer for more than 7 years, now I'm scared to go there. read more

I've gone to this particular CVS off and on for several years now, and until now, on average, they'd merit a solid 3 out of 5 stars. Today's experience puts them at a generous 1 for simply one reason: not enforcing the no mask/no service rule. It's a pharmacy, catering to older and sick customers. To be lax with masks during a global pandemic is no excuse. They're not getting my business any more. read more

I must say I was a huge supporter of CVS but not so much anymore. They take to long to fill prescriptions. Had one called in on a Monday and when I went there the fallowing week Tuesday it wasn't done. Take post surgery script to them they say I will have it done in one hour, 2 hours later they haven't even started It. My suggestion is to go to Walgreens fast polite and pleasant to deal with however I will give CVS a star just one star don't know why maybe out of charity but one star nonetheless read more

I love cvs and I use it for all my immediate needs. This is the location I always go to due to it be down the street from home. Yesterday I had the smoothest transaction ever all because of Savvas. He didn't hesitate to help me and was extremely friendly. Most importantly he wasn't on his phone like most of the employees are whenever I go in and I'm waiting in line to be helped. Horrible service from Judy... There was thermometers behind her but had no price so I asked her to scan it and give me a price. she gave me a higher price that it was and i said, can you please scan it so I can get the price, she said I know it's 14.99.. I said ok, i'll take it. she scanned it and the price was less than what she told me. she gave me a dumb response that i couldn't clear understand because her english was not good enough. ... NoTE: when you need a price and the employee gives you a price, DONT GO BY WHAT THEY TELL YOU. Sometimes the sister will give you a discount or price is lower than what the associate tells you. Today I CAME TO THIS CVS BECAUSE THERE WAS A LINE AT TARGET and didn't wanna drive to WALGREENS I get better stuff without having to interact and i can scan the items myself! read more

The worst CVS pharmacy ever. The first time coming here, they screwed up my medication and gave me vomit syrup instead of my birth control. I called them to ask them if there was a possibility that the medication I was given was wrong. They were adamant about them being right since I took all my medication (but only looked at all of them once I came home). I had to argue with them and insist that I knew what I was prescribed and what I was given was wrong. They abruptly leave me on hold and tell me to just come back with no explanation? So unprofessional. The second time, my mom had to come back to get my refill for my birth control (which my doctor specifically wrote 6 months worth of on the prescription) they denied having the birth control prescribed to me. She handed them the phone and I told them the drug brand name and it's generic version. What about the text notifications I got saying my refill was ready? They legit were accusing the wrongdoing on my doctor's part and it's because he hasn't been answering their emails or something??? Something about a request and that they can't give me my birth control even though my doctor wrote down 5 more months worth of refills. Wtf? I called my doctor the next day and the receptionist had to speak to CVS pharmacy bc of their screw up. Turns out I was right and for some reason they were confused between my inhaler and birth control and that it's my inhaler that needs confirmation from my doctor??? Weird bc they told me that no medication was available for me when my mom came in to get my birth control. I've never been to a pharmacy that screwed up so many times. I'm genuinely appalled and hopefully I get to switch to another pharmacy soon. read more

My mom wanted me to buy her good smelling candles for her friends. Now, I could have gone to Walmart or Target but...they don't have the "essence of BEAUTY" candles there. Unfortunately, they weren't having their sale for those candles anymore at this CVS but they did have other candles there that were reasonably priced. I bought 12 candles. Yes, 12! The scents were: vanilla, wild raspberry, and lemongrass (which is my favorite scent BTW). They were originally $9.99 but they were on sale for $6.99 + 20% off if you use your CVS card. Not bad, huh? Plus they were big sized candles. We were able to confirm the prices by scanning them into the new scanning device located near the front of the store. The cashiers were pretty friendly. Everyone laughed at the skank walking in with her mini entourage. Her ass was practically falling out of the bottom of her very short dress. Are you kidding me? LOL! Another thing that makes this place a-okay is that they advertise that they have thousands of items for four dollars or less. That's pretty decent especially with today's unstable economy. read more

I went to buy a Navage cuz online it said it was $87 got there to see it was $92 and they dont price match. I decided to just order it online and buy my other items. Pharmacy line is out of control. Waiting because 1 person is holding up the line unnecessarily. If prescription not ready simply tell them to come back or go in to further research the delay. Do not hold up a line for 40 minutes while customers are trapped in the line by other cars. Unbelievable and calling corporate. read more

I have had some pretty bad experiences here but it takes a lot for me to write a negative review about a place. However, I hit my breaking point when I went on Sunday to pick up my prescription. A few weeks ago, I went to the pharmacy to pick up my medication and handed a discount card I had for it to a pharmacist named Eileen. She looked at it and told me it was expired - luckily, I had read the fine print and pointed out that it was indeed not expired. She took it without a word and went to her computer system to put it in. She came back and told me that it was not activated, but I knew it was. I asked her to please try it again. She did and I saw she had entered the number of the card incorrectly - she made the adjustment to the number and came back to me without an apology and rang me up very rudely. I figured she must just be having a bad day so I ignored her bad attitude. Then came last Sunday. I decided to try the drive thru to get my refill this time and was "helped" by Eileen again. She was very rude when taking my information but again, I tried to ignore that. What really upset me though was when I had signed for my prescription and tried to hand it back through the window, I accidentally dropped the pen. I looked for it but realized it had rolled under my car. "I'm sorry, I dropped the pen," I told Eileen. "Well...?" She replied with a disgusted look on her face. "What do you want me to do?" I asked, confused. "Can you get it?" She looked at me in disdain. "...No. It rolled under the car." She stared at me. "Well, I don't have another pen," she finally said. "In the whole store, you don't have another pen?" I asked. With a deep sigh, she reached into her pharmacist jacket and pulled out a pen and handed it to me. Really?? It was that much work to give me another pen? I'm sorry I dropped it but I can guarantee you, I've been to fast food drive throughs which were much nicer. To make things worse, the moment she handed me my pills, she slammed the window in my face and walked away. No "thank you", nothing. And I'm not talking about closing the window - she SLAMMED it so hard that it almost bounced back open. I went into the store and got her name but decided against lodging a complaint at that time as I didn't trust myself to be able to speak about this calmly. I've called corporate to complain as well as submitted feedback on their website. I now write this on Yelp to help everyone avoid this situation - if you get Eileen at the Pharmacy, ask for someone else if you don't want to have a bad experience. I usually let bad attitudes go because you never know what might be going on in their personal lives at the time, but this was just too much for me. I felt disrespected and insulted and therefore, I had to share this experience. I will not be going back to this CVS. read more

I don't get why CVS' customer wait line is invisible. It confuses the natural coming of things and causes humans to scatter aimlessly in desperate attempts to find their place in life .. I mean, line. But this CVS is 24 hours so who cares? If I ever needed a condom at 4am in the morning, CVS is there for me and will offer me cheaper prices compared to 7-Eleven. If I ever wanted to send myself a birthday card, CVS' doors are open with a wide selection of them. Sprained an ankle while kicking a tree after landing on it incorrectly? Ankle brace is available at the 24 hr CVS. Ants attacking you in the middle of the night and you don't have bug spray? You know where to go - CVS is always open. read more

The pharmacy is horrid! I have been in bad pain for 3 days now cuz they can't get my prescription straight. They have bothered my doctor's office a number of times and insist my doctor prescribed a medication he did not...hmm, he should know - you think? Everyone at this pharmacy tells you something different. You think you'll be getting your meds according to one person, so you don't call some other place, then surprise no meds! Long story short, Medicine was sent to the wrong pharmacy. I tried figuring things out and was directed to CVS Pharmacy on 38th and Sheridan to hopefully be able to get my meds, FINALLY. When I called, I was greeted by a unpleasant man named Brock with a "yeess?" like he was annoyed to have answered the phone.. I let it go.. continuing on to figure out where my meds are, he was very short and rude! The attitude behind his argumentative remarks really got to me, especially when asking him to help me track my meds down seemed like a chore to him! I understand he did what he could(bare minimum, I'm sure) and the answer I got wasnt in my favor, but his tone could have been a little more considerate due to the fact I was just wanting to feel better and I just was informed I'd have to wait until the next day before doing so.. just a very inconsiderate man and a very unfortunate first time CVS Pharmacy experience. This CVS is close to my neighborhood. I go here when I need medicine or cough drops. They also sell food, magazines, medical goods and alcohol here. I also use this CVS to print my photos. They have two different options to print out your photos. You can use their Kodak kiosk or you can have the CVS photo department print out your pics. It's up to you! They also have a drive through pharmacy. You usually will get a phone call saying your prescription is ready (it is automated). The line can get long as sometimes they only have one or two cashiers. This one is usually packed because they closed the Savon that used to be right next to Ralphs. They have a parking lot that is shared with Chase. They accept cash and credit card. Be sure to sign up for their CVS card so that you can get rewards for spending money here. read more

Terrible service on July 6 around 7:30 PM! 1.5 days after the doc called in the order, it still wasn't ready. They needed to confirm something and didn't bother to call the doctor (no one apologized or took responsibility... just gave me attitude). So they filled the prescription while I was there (w/ my sick 4-yr-old) and we waited and waited and... then when it was done, one male worker asked my name and said, "Oh, it's been done." He said they called, but I didn't hear? The 2 ladies who where "helping" me earlier didn't even bother to tell me it was done and I was sitting 5 feet from them (again, no apologies). This was my second trip there in two days (the first going at a time the machine said they were open, but weren't)... again, no apologies, just a shift in blame "I don't do the message." Took in 2 prescriptions to get filled... wait time for both of them was 30 mins... 15 mins for 1 prescription... Anyways, after 30 mins. has passed, I came back and tried to pick up my prescriptions... However, It was not done and I was told that they were working on it (which is total bull shit) and that it would take another 30 mins!!! So, I took my prescription back and left. I went to a different place to get it filled and it only took 5 mins!! (The way I see it, it should not take more than 10 minutes to fill a prescription if the prescription was typed and it was easy to read) this place seriously does not deserve any stars and I would not come back here again... read more

This place always has long lines no matter what time of day and maybe 1 or 2 cashiers if you're lucky. There's a man at night who has the worst disposition. He looks angry to ring you up. If you come here at night you'll know what I mean; no smile ever. But today, I write because of the big-boned cashier. She was nice enough at first, with her canned response and painted on smile. She punched in the wrong amount and closed the cashier. When I told her I gave her two dimes, she immediately realized it and acknowledged it but made no apology. She gave me my change and says, "Here's your two pennies," so snidely, I wanted to throw them at her. Yeah it's not a huge value but for her to look at me as if I should have just walked away is what pissed me off. It's not my fault you failed high grade school math. Go back to school, learn how to count and learn some customer service. It just goes to show you how some people hate having their mistakes pointed out. read more

I needed to fill prescriptions for my friend who had just had surgery and I tried calling prior to going to the location because I wanted to make sure they were open, no one answered the phone .. but their automated message says that they're open 24/7 so I gave it a shot and showed up anyways and of course, pharmacy was closed .. definitely need to update their hours and automated message so guests won't be deceived as I was. read more

Pharmacy: Incompetent employees who cannot perform regular everyday tasks. Was told by one pharmacy technician that medication was available by 6PM. Arrived at 9PM and every employee looked confused because they have no idea what is going on. Turns out the medication was not even processed. Requested to send medication to another CVS location. Called the following day and was told that they did not send the medication to alternate CVS store. Prescription was sent by doctor on Friday, but not processed until late the following week. Went multiple days without proper medication. Be warned. Do not come here for medication. Their incompetence will have you dead before you know it. read more

I came in to the pharmacy consultation window and noticed they were very very busy. The male pharmacist came over shortly and asked me if there's anything he could help me with. I don't normally shop here or get my prescriptions here but because my local CVS wouldn't take the time to answer my questions, I decided to stop by since I was in the area. Not only did the Pharmacist Howard take the time to answer all my questions, he even gave me advice on how I should move forward so that I can get my pain meds. Not only did he not pass judgment (because my local cvs sure did) because it was an opioid pain med (I have chronic back pain from a botched surgery), he listed step by step what to do and all the problems I might encounter at my local cvs so that I can plan for it. Great service. If I lived closer, I would transfer all my prescriptions here. read more

Unbelievable, First time to experience a very rude and horrible staff his name is MICHAEL.. Been living in Alhambra for more than 6 years now I've never encounter a rude staff from ANYWHERE in here. We were looking for an item, and ask a lady staff for it in the cashier, The lady cashier asked him and as if go find it yourself. So I ask him do you have it? He said no. But I saw the thermometers displayed behind them. So I said I'm confused you said no but you have it there. He said you can get it if you want. So I said never mind. So I told him I'm confused you said no you don't have it but it's all displayed there. I asked for the manager since I've never seen him before he's not answering whats his name and his managers name. He told me I don't need to talk to you so I got more angry and asked why did he say that to a customer. And I over hear him say FUCK YOU. Thats when I ask another staff for his name and I will make sure to report to his superior. Remember the name MICHAEL. A man talking to a customer like that considering I'm a woman scares me to come to cvs again. Very sad and scary. read more

I don't know why the reviews are so low here but I've never had a bad experience. I usually come to this CVS to pick up my essentials and used to come to the pharmacy. Everyone was fine, nothing over the top but not horrible. Pharmacists were nice and used to call when my orders were ready. Staff is as normal and professional as you're going to get from a drug store, it's not like you're going to a top notch place. The aisles are usually clear and organized compared to other stores I've been to so that's a good sign. Otherwise this is a pretty average A-Ok CVS. read more

I called because my brother had lost his wallet in the park lot and I was hoping someone turned it in and I spoke to a gentlemen who worked the front store the night of 2/13/18. And he said he would check and kept me on hold for almost 15 minutes. I hung up and I called back And another gentlemen answered who said he came back from lunch. And I stated that I was put on hold for 15 minutes and the response I got was "aw for real" instead of an apology and people in the back talking and it also sounded like he wasn't even listening. And after being but on hold for 15 minutes I got no they didn't find the wallet. Which is fine, but it was also a waste of time. I work in customer service. CVS to be exact and "genuine care" is one of the big things we look at as far as helping customers out... so my tip is to apologize for the inconvenience that these gentlemen put me in. I'd hope you're training your "younger staff" to be more concerned about customers/patients coming in to this store. read more

Outdated Policies! Would not let me use a coupon that I had on my phone. They told me that I needed to print it out in order for them to honor it even though the coupon had a code for the associate to enter. Seems like a very silly policy and a poor way to lose customers.
