I went in to get Alpha Lipoic Acid Vitamin. I couldn't find it on the shelf, so I had to asked one of the worker. He looked like he was a little clueless which was fine. However, when I asked him if all CVS carried the same vitamins, perhaps I could get it at some other CVS. I asked him the same question for three times and he just ignored me. Ok, that's fine too. Finally, he had to call someone else for help. The other staff came. Not only he was not helpful, but also he had attitude. He said CVS was not a vitamin shop, I need to go to a vitamin shop or something (in fact, I found this small brand carries it on the shelf and CVS online carries it too) . I asked him if other CVS would have it. He pointed at the vitamin section and said "you see these vitamins? Doesn't matter which CVS you go, they all look the same." ??? I was confused. Is that even possible? I meant I understand that you don't know everything that are sold in the store, but where is the customer service? This longs has the worst service in the state . Today I used some credits and cash to buy something. This is the only store that encourages a self checkout. This is because of lack of personnel. I have two numbers under my account and the system cannot sort this out. Their have been many time Sunday morning when sale prices do not match . This is a sad excuse all cvs stores should have the same quality standard. Longs downtown and Pali is not like this. All the managers should be fired. A lot of people have handicaps and they are not entitled to be a store. There is a big clerk at night they let him work . He has eye problems and the other workers cover up for him. This is a sad store no customer service. Call 9491010 and complain. I live 20 ft from this store. All the elderly people complain about this store. Also this store is supposed to open the public parking lot at 6 am. My neighbor says it's not always open A chain blocks it there may be a liability problem. I love my neighborhood Longs that I can walk to. If I drive it has a well lit covered parking with elevator access. When it first opened, inventory was a problem for sale items. No more. The pharmacy staff always friendly and goes out of their way to work with my Dr. Re: my meds. Convenient place to get flu and shingle shots too. They hire new people and don't train them enough for them to know what they're doing and as a customer I am upset that I need my picture taken for passport purposes and the newly hired named joslyn don't know and ask me if what she did was correct. I am a customer and I expected them to know what they're doing and also confident on their job. I have to submit my picture to a govt agency and if I didn't have the correct passport pic I will be rescheduled next month for my next passport application appt because of covid. Now my picture is done, she was ringing up my 2 pictures for 33.00 and if I didn't say something since I didn't know how much it cost, I would have paid double. There were other employees helping her named Kristin but my point is, she is not well trained and she assumed 33.00 dollars without asking her co workers and they are there but they're not very helpful to her at all! I therefore conclude that this store doesn't give a shit about the customers, the prices and passport pictures who knows what else. The walking distance to my house is great, but customer service is on the down side. The price of items on sale is so confusing. They need to work on training their employees everyone is telling me different things. While paying for my lashes that were 75% off, the girl told me only this certain pair is on sale. So I went back to get more of it. While paying she had a hard time getting the discount. Then she called the manager and the manager went to check for the price again. It's been like the 3rd time they went back to check prices. Next thing you know, the manager tells me the girl that said it was 75% off made a mistake, it's buy one get one 50% off. I said, no the price says 75% off, so she goes to the lash section again. She ended up telling me it's put in the wrong spot. It's actually original price. I'm like what? You scanned the bar code how could it be wrong and first you tell me to change lashes telling me it's 75% then says it's buy one get one 50% NOW you say it's actually the wrong one. I was in a rush... I spent 40mins walking back and forth with the cashier and manager. The whole time I was trying to keep my patience, but towards the end I was just out of it I just said it's okay I'll just leave, thanks. The manager was not even helpful nor showed good customer service. I wasn't expecting much I just wanted to buy my lashes and leave ..... next time I'll know to not waste time on sale items. read more

If you ever go to this longs store do not expect any of the associates to help you if you go to the self checkout line. The button "request help" apparently does not tell them anything. I stood there for a good 10 minutes and when the associate finally did come and help me he did not apologize and he also slammed and did everything very aggressively. read more

I give this place a 5 because the customer service, product selection, and appearance of the store is great! They always seem to have sufficient stock for sale items and the store is very clean! They also have good music playing (not like that matters, but ok). This store has the best customer service. Before, I used to just drive by and think that this Longs was just another ordinary Longs. But, one day I decided to go in and do some Christmas shopping. I parked on the street because I could not find the parking lot. After I made my purchases, I had to find a way to get two carts full of stuff to my car across the street. Since the carts could not leave the store property, I had to make several trips back into the store to get everything from my carts. I didn't get his name, but one of the employees volunteered to watch my carts while I went back and forward to get stuff to the car. Later, he went in the back and offered me a huge trash bag to put all the products in so I wouldn't have to make as many trips. Thank you to him! Based on this first good experience, I decided to go back again. I bought some Valentines items and one of the items did not have a price tag on it. I asked about the price and the nice lady named Eleanor went and looked at the seasonal price sheet in the back. She was able to get me the price, unlike some employees at the other locations that say "I don't know the price, and if there's no tag, then I can't sell it to you." On another trip, I was looking for the Gold Emblem Trail Mix and had no idea where it was. One of the employees named Desiree heard me talking about it, and she immediately showed me where it was. Then, I went to the register to ask about another item that I couldn't find and the same lady named Eleanor from my previous trip asked "how many do you need?" and then she walked to the other side of the store to get the items. On that same trip, my coupons were not applying, so she tried to do what she could. It still didn't work, so she called her shift lead over. His name was Clyde and he was very helpful. Both of them were very patient through the whole process. Overall, I prefer shopping at this location. Liked the cleanliness and newness of the store and come here almost once a week since my daughters daycare is right there. Everything was good until this morning when I went to buy her a pack of baby food. Local looking girl with orange blondish hair was super rude, lucky I didn't wanna embarrass myself by going over the top. I mistakenly went to the wrong self check register that didn't accept cash. So I stepped back and waited for a worker. She goes are you paying cash? I said yeah sorry I didn't realize that the register didn't accept cash. She said ok yeah only the first two, it says it right on the top. I jokingly said oh like any one can see that lol. She then goes out of her way to point out that it also says it on the screen. Ok sorry I was in a rush didn't see, but I'm ok to wait. Another male customer tells her have a nice day and she goes yeah I'm trying too. Mannnnn I tell you it takes a lot of restraint not to engage. Not going back to this location unless they change up that front cashier. This is a wonderful Longs except for one employee who has already been the bearer of 1 star reviews. The person has orangish blonde hair and is usually in a rather bad mood. If I do not want to use the dirty self check out I have that right, but she insists customers use it with her help. Thanks but no thanks. I actually like this Long's except I always have an issue with one employee. fat, tall male. Looks kinda hapa asian. So, for the third time, I have a shopping cart full of things and am walking to check out. Now this longs has a line of self-checkout kiosks along one perimeter of the exit. Fine with me but the problem is that the area where you place your scanned products is like 14 in x 12 in. So, if you have a lot of stuff in your cart you CANNOT possibly place all of it on the scanned area. And if you dont place a scanned product in the area everything stops and the scanner tells you to place it there. Normally, when clerks see me come along with my full ass cart, they'll wave me over to the manned check out register on the counter where I can place all my things. Easy. But, not with big, tall guy. Oh no, for the third time, he waves me and my full cart over to self checkout. Perhaps he's too lazy to walk in back of the manned area to check me out. And, so. Let the fun begin. As I scan each product, I play Tetris and try and fit the crap load of scanned products into a perfectly fitting column within a 14 x 12 in area. Yeah, right. No. Instead, as I'm scanning products and trying to balance them in the area, I have stuff falling on the dirty ass floor and under an adjacent counter. Great. So I paid for the can of mushrooms, but that can is now in some unknown area where the roaches probably live. Hope they have a can opener. Merry early Christmas Mr and Mrs Roach. Finally, I come to my 3 2-liter bottles of diet pepsi. Yeah. Let's go place that on the top of Mount Crumbly. Guess what? stuff on the ground. In the meantime, big, tall guy with his neck gaiter, not a mask, (Scientific research indicates neck gaiters actually spread oral droplets, unlike masks), has left to go up the elevator to the second floor. **Cue scanner malfunction.** As I stand there, looking for any assistance but not seeing any, I contemplate just walking out and leaving everything there. Soooooooo tempting. But this Longs is convenient and so I hesitate. Along come a short local Longs employee who sees my predicament and immediately and courteously asks me to gather my things and accompany me to the manned register area. [And this is where this girl saved your ass Longs so pay attention and give her kudos.] She's apologetic, gets my items scanned in no time and I'm out the door. But.....we're not done. So, I get to my car pissed and my wife's who's been sitting there with a view of the elevator asks me what's wrong. I tell her my story and she says a big, tall guy like 5-10 minutes ago, and I say yes. She has a sour look on her face. She says, the guy, comes up and gathers shopping carts, and then he takes all the carts to the elevator and blocks the doorway of the elevator. The elevator doors open and an older chubby lady is in the doorway and attempting to exit but is blocked by the shopping carts and big, tall guy is standing on the other end. What would a courteous person do? Not even an employee of the business that the woman just patronized, no I mean a regular courteous person. Right, they'd move the carts back out of her way so she could exit the elevator. Didn't happen. My wife told me he didn't budge so this poor lady had to squeeze her ass past the carts to exit. So, after explaining my irritation, I'd like to ask Long's, what exactly is your policy as far as these self-checkout things and when a customer comes to check out with obviously TOO MUCH stuff to fit on the little scanned shelf area? If you don't have one, then you need to get one and need to train your employees on it. If you do have a policy and it's to let people play Jenga or Tetris with their scanned items, then I'd like to know so I can go to Ala Moana Target. read more

Great location right across Ross on Ward avenue. The cashier I didn't get her name but as early as it te she is cheerful and ready to assist you with your shopping needs. They have parking which is on the Halekauwila side to enter. Store very clean music just right tone . I'll be back to finish my shopping after work I can kill time instead of fighting the crazy traffic or busy mall . read more

First time in this new store and it will be my last. Worst experience in my life. I walk in. Dozens of employees stocking but only one helping at the self check out. The machines were user unfriendly and they self check out is your only option. Even though the check out line was backed up and everyone needed help not one employee would help. I said something to the guy sticking Valentine candy and he ripped my head off. I will never go to this Longs or any other. Oh yeah the prices are twice what Walgreens is.
