Cafeteria Style Southern Lunch - Good Eatin!

Stopped by for lunch at the recommendation of a friend - it was the epitome of what you expect going to your granny's house Sunday after church! Everything was packed with flavor! The breading on the catfish and chicken was light and crispy, and didn't leave you with the typical heaviness from fried food. Will definitely recommend to friends passing through Enterprise and will plan to come back the next time we're in town.

Cheese steak sandwich

This is one of my family's go to spot but I just think it is okay. Ordered food to bring home. The cheese steak sandwich is good but nothing fantastic. I have had better. The onion rings were okay. I asked for a side salad and almost died laughing when I saw a tiny amount of lettuce, and one cherry tomato. All I could ask was, and how much did you pay for this? The other container of salad had more and is what I would have expected. I just am not a fan but to each his own.

Baked chicken dressing and corn

Awesome food. I have not been here in 20 years. Used to come with my coworkers when we worked with my dad Dr Barreca. Always lived the baked chicken and dressing with cranberry.

I haven't been here in nearly 7 years and the place has not changed. It serves Southern/soul food classics such as greens (turnips this time), black eyed peas, and fried chicken. They also have meatloaf, chicken fried steak, ribs, chili dogs, burgers, and cheesesteak. It's like going through a school cafeteria but with good food. Very affordable prices for what you get. I also had peach cobbler, which was very good.

They have the most wonderful southern cooked food. If you miss home cooking, you will find it here. They have short order as well.

Authentic southern food. The pulled pork and hot dogs are amazing.. The food is a little salty but worth it.

They've got some specialty grocery items, a bar, tons of gifts and locally made goods, and most importantly for me, a sandwich counter that is functioning at a high level and putting together some really good sandwiches that everyone needs to try. The menu is expansive and has something for everyone, from French Dips to Cubans and all points in between. I ordered "The Oscar" which had a huge stack of Italian meats on it and was enough for 2 meals. I strongly recommend checking their bread options as well. I upgraded to their foccacia and it was amazing. This sandwich could compete with the best I've ever had anywhere. If you're in this area don't second guess it for a minute. Stop into this place and check out what they have to offer. Great food in a nice environment with friendly people and good prices. Can't ask for more than that. 5 stars.

Upon entering, one is transported into the absolute neatest little shop of concoctions, whether it be sweets or sauces, jams or jellies, not to mention the deli section with cured meats, amongst other proprietary offerings. The bar and dining areas were a buzz with patrons, enjoying their entrees and beverages. Ordering to go is a fairly straightforward process. You simply walk to the rear of the restaurant and place your order. Although the orders are filled rather quickly one still has time to peruse all of the aforementioned goodies. Did I partake? With zero guilt yes I did, happily :) On this occasion, I opted for the Hefty Heffer and Idgie sands, along with a couple of salads. Between my partner and I, we fully agree that each sandwich stands alone QUITE WELL: The Hefty, with its caramelized onion-forward flavor complimenting the brisket {Excellent} and the Idgie with those perfectly tart fried-green tomatoes. {Perfection}! The salads and Mango Habañero spread were, candidly, gluttunous purchases even though we would dine on them the next day. We have yet to try the fruit spread, though it will be a delightful accent to the charcuterie trays, we are serving. At the end of the day, TBD never disappoints and we are glad to have found her :) BON APPÉTIT
