I removed my initial review as it has served it's purpose. Thank you to all that contacted me. United we stand again unethical dishonest companies. I have turned this situation over to a higher authority.

With the help of JAZ Developments, we remodeled our kitchen, living room, master bath and guest bath, repainted and replaced the flooring and base boards of the entire house, replaced several windows, and knocked down a wall to the backyard to install a triple sliding glass door in the master bedroom. They are the best of the best and I can't recommend them enough. Joedy is a problem solver, easy to work with, and has assembled an impressive team. Over the course of construction I kept having new ideas, which they were able to incorporate without any problems. Our project was pretty extensive so Blake was at our house every day for many months and he is absolutely wonderful! Honestly we were a little sad to see him go when the remodel wrapped up but of course thrilled with the final results. My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

They were professionals through and through, and they got the job done relatively quickly. If you have young kids, they will also love Joedy. Also...for the first two projects we got quotes from other companies and Good Life was the best. For the third project we didn't bother looking around. Jason has been our main point of contact, and he is absolutely amazing. He is a great communicator, always comes up with smart solutions to any issue, and genuinely cares about the quality of the finished product. His customer service is top-notch. On top of that, the guys on-site, Yaro and Everett, were both fantastic to work with and did incredible work. Even the staff answering the phones are helpful and friendly every time you call. They work fast and actually stick to the schedule, but the main thing that sets them apart is their honesty. I think it's rare to find a contractor you can 100% trust, but they have earned that trust completely. We love this company and will absolutely keep using them for all our future projects!

1 Star: The Patio Looks Nice, but That's About It!…read more While I will admit that the finished patio looks nice, that is honestly the only positive thing I can say about my experience with this construction company. The construction has been ongoing for months at Greenhaven Oaks Apartments, and the lack of professionalism, communication, and respect for residents' personal property has been extremely disappointing. During construction, workers damaged my children's belongings, including my daughter's baby carriage and my child's bicycle. Nobody even had the decency to notify me that my child's bike had been broken. They also put a hole through my living room wall, which was eventually patched but left unpainted and unfinished. What is especially frustrating is what happened to my children's recycling. I have been teaching my kids responsibility by having them sort and separate our recyclables on their own. They worked hard to organize everything, separating the materials and bagging them up properly. We had seven bags of recyclables ready to go. The following weekend, we lost access to our backyard because of the construction, and we still have not regained access. Now, only one bag of glass bottles remains. I have no idea what happened to everything else. This was not just a pile of recyclables. It was something my children took the time and effort to organize as part of learning responsibility, and now their hard work has essentially disappeared without any explanation. I have already reported these issues to my apartment management, including the damaged baby carriage. A nice-looking patio does not excuse damaged property, missing belongings, poor communication, or a complete lack of accountability. Residents should not have to discover damage to their belongings or repeatedly complain just to have their concerns acknowledged. At the end of the day, the patio may look good, but the way this company treated residents and their belongings was anything but professional. The finished product might deserve five stars, but the overall experience deserves one.

He took it all in before he said yes. He was first focused on our being secure before he would even consider the sale. He showed me (and my adult kids) dozens of houses and never lost patience or hope. We went from Alameda to Benecia and saw houses with bay views and 500 square feet of living space, to fixer uppers, to huge yards, and flippers by the freeway. At the height of the sellers market he kept looking. It wasn't easy to find a home a single mom could afford. Until he did. High ceilings, lots of light, good neighborhood.... and a flashback to 1985. Solid bones and a chance to do some updates at my own pace to make it my own. Home. I have done a lot of work over the years and am happy to say that if you live in this area, he is your guy. He was fair and honest from the get go. The price he gives you is the price you will pay. I never received any surprise "change orders". As contractors go, Omar was VERY open and communicative. No problems ever getting him or his crew on the phone. He had great suggestions on all things we discussed. Always seemed to know a lot about his work and various things people like. The project was a big one, and I am super happy with how fast it went. He even got started for us over Thanksgiving and Xmas, and his crew would show up on Saturday or Sunday sometimes to keep on working (which was fine with us!). There were no subcontractors involved... everything was through Noor Construction. If we had any minor issues that needed correcting, Omar would come and look at it and tell his crew what to do. We really appreciate the details, crown molding and trim was superbly done, and the tile was just amazing, we are very impressed with his team. I mean seriously anyone who has attempted to do crown molding in the past knows what I am talking about. For details if you've made it this far, our story: Where shall I start. I suppose we start with the idea: build a bedroom in the second floor space of our "great room" which has really tall ceilings... like 30 feet plus. So basically add a bedroom in the second story "empty space" above the first floor. Easy right? Well, after getting ghosted by several contractors, I finally called Omar. He informed he thought we were probably getting ghosted because the architect had told him that footings were needed to support this new bedroom which would be sort of like an island in the middle of the house. We live on a hill, so these support columns would have to go through the first floor, basement, and then under the house. This added to the cost, but we really wanted a bedroom in that space. Omar gave me a price. I told him no thanks, my wife and I thought well maybe we changed our mind as the cost came in higher with the footing work. After a few weeks, we talked it over, changed our minds. We really needed the bedroom. I called him, thinking "gosh he probably won't want our work". Omar came back, no change in price, same deal as before, he didn't even bat an eye, he was ready to go, and this was like 4 weeks later after I told him no. So yea, it was project that I was told was too much for people, everyone didn't want to go get permits or deal with the footings... Omar told us what to expect and stuck to the plan. He dealt with the County and the inspector always came and said even himself "these guys know what they are doing". We passed all inspections. Omar even was super flexible about adding things to the project as we went along, as you know I get ideas about what I might want, we added some carpeting and shelving, and additional tile work that he added at no additional cost to him. He really just knows what he is doing and is super on top of things. So go with Noor Construction if you have the chance, you won't regret it!

Our home has already increased in value. The area is nice close to schools shopping and the airport. The home is solar. Windows are reflective, and when inside you can barley hear the jets. As a recently single woman, I admit I was not real savvy on the electrical selections however, I purchased an additional outlet in the pantry specifically for a microwave. The design consultant failed to mention or recommend a dedicated outlet. So not only did I pay extra for an outlet, it is inadequate and shorts out everything in my kitchen should I operate more than one thing (including the oven). Therefore, it is a complete nuisance. Every day I have to go out to the circuit panel and reset the kitchen. This was not something I noticed until being at home for extended periods of time and when I spoke to the Customer Service representatives, they suggested I hire a third party contractor to make the change as there was nothing they could do to remedy the situation. Again, I love my home and the overall process but I am disappointed with the lack of care with the design studio and customer service representatives or their lack of interest in fixing the problem. The community is otherwise great, relatively quiet and pleasant to live in. The home was a good value and competitively priced. The advanced technology and safety features in the home including the fire sprinklers were a pleasant surprise as it has been several years since I purchased a new home. I am happy with my purchase. Just wish I didn't have to blow a fuse every time I run the microwave. Monterey Village Community Elk Grove, Ca

It was a massive project that stripped things down almost to the studs. Overall, it was a 5-star experience and we're really happy with the final result. One of the things they did exceptionally well was the upfront planning. They scanned the house and worked off our Pinterest boards to build a digital 3D model first. Being able to iterate on that digital model before any demolition started meant my wife and I could nail down the aesthetics and know exactly what to expect. Once construction was underway, jobsite cleanliness was great, and living through the disruption was about as tolerable as a major renovation can be. Olive Homes handled all the Folsom city permitting and inspections without too much friction on our end. Whenever unforeseen issues popped up--as they always do with major renos--they came to us proactively with solid ideas and solutions. On top of that, they actually finished on budget (slightly under budget, in fact), which is pretty rare for a project of this scale. The main downside was the timeline. The project took longer than both we and Olive Homes expected. Their primary team and main subcontractors were top-notch, but some of those main subs hired secondary subcontractors below them. That extra layer caused communication breakdowns--there were days when secondary subs didn't show up when expected, and some of their work was lower quality and had to be redone. The prime contractor was very empathetic and considerate throughout, stepping in to ensure re-works were handled properly, but those secondary sub issues definitely caused delays. At the end of the day, the finished product turned out beautifully. The craftsmanship is high quality, and we've gotten a ton of compliments from family and neighbors. We've made our final payments and expect to do our 1-year warranty checkup punch list soon, but we are genuinely very happy with our home and would recommend Olive Homes to anyone looking for a solid, honest local contractor.
