I cannot express how over the moon we were with our entire experience with the JAZ team. This was our first time doing a renovation project and weren't sure what to expect, so we were lucky to have received such a strong recommendation for this team from one of my friends. With the help of JAZ Developments, we remodeled our kitchen, living room, master bath and guest bath, repainted and replaced the flooring and base boards of the entire house, replaced several windows, and knocked down a wall to the backyard to install a triple sliding glass door in the master bedroom. This is a long overdue review for Joedy and his team. He has helped us with numerous projects around our house, and as I sat down to get ready to call him this evening about another one... I realize I haven't done my due diligence in reviewing him! We live in a Sacramento house that is over 100 years old. Joedy and his team came in and converted our nook into a nook + 1/2 bath (much needed in a 2/1), as well as updating some cabinets in our laundry room to give us some much needed pantry space. While he was here he even looked into a problem we were having with our roof, and took care of it for us. His quotes were fair and always came in accurately. His timelines were spot on. We had our house built over 40 years ago and was long overdue for a major facelift. Every year we would go Home & Landscape Expo at Cal Expo in January. We had several contractors come over to share ideas and give us estimates. We just never pulled the trigger. When we got serious about remodeling our kitchen, I started looking at contractor reviews on yelp. JAZ Developments stood out. I called and Joedy Zapara come out to look at our project. I was immediately impressed with his experience, honesty and sense of humor. His references were unanimously positive. Joedy's bid was competitive, complete and prompt. His time frame worked for us. Hired. Joedy worked with Sac County's building permit folks to get our plans approved quickly. Demo began on the contracted date. We only added 8.5 square feet to our kitchen nook area, but it required taking out an external deck, removing a wall and resupporting the ceiling. We now have new cabinets, countertops, kitchen appliances, tile flooring, windows and a wall seat. We had the house painted inside and out. Joedy and his crew became family when they were here. No smoking, no alcohol, and no swearing. They showed up on time and cleaned up their mess before they left. There was at least 2 workers (often more) here every day. His subs were excellent (Sergio-cabinets, Capital City Granite-countertops, David-painting). We love our "new" house. We can't say enough good things about the process and the results. We had a major leak in our home that resulted in needing not one, but two bathroom remodels, as well as a ceiling in desperate need of repair. This review is So LONG overdue.....I found Jaz Developments through Yelp about 1 1/2 years ago. My husband and I moved back into the house that I grew up in . The house was built in 1958 so needless to say my list of "home improvement" was a mile long. We recently had JAZ Developments tear out the outer facade of our useless fireplace and put in an amazing built-in cabinet. This was a pretty extensive job that required a lot of wall and floor repair as well as electrical work (we had wall sconces taken out and in-ceiling LED lights put in). They also did a small remodel on our coat closet to make it more usable. We are thrilled with the work Joedy and team did. We used JAZ on a recommendation from a friend and are very glad we did. We liked Joedy as well as valued his work. He was creative and helped us decide on all the best options (something I value highly in a contractor). I was completely comfortable leaving him with access to the house while we were at work. He went above and beyond in things like climbing to the top of our very steep roof to seal the top of the chimney and also moving our cable outlet when the company couldn't get out to do it.
