We used KDC to renovate our Kitchen, Master Bathroom, and fix some other issues around the house that involved tiling, plumbing, drywall, etc. We first started with KDC on the kitchen, where we had them install all new countertops, and replace our cabinets, basically a whole kitchen renovation. They handled everything and had people for plumbing, tiling, painting, electrical. Everything was handled for us with minimal involvement other than picking out materials. It was one of the easiest experiences where we picked out what we wanted in their showroom and had their project manager coming to the house to review progress on a consistent basis. With how smoothly the kitchen went, we had KDC fix our guest bathroom where things went just as smooth, and then do a whole renovation of the master bathroom. Similarly, we picked out all of the materials in their showroom and the results were amazing. The quality and craftsmanship is very detailed, with new cabinets, tiling, moving different fixtures to new locations, and installation of everything flawlessly. They even alerted us to a cheaper countertop option that still met our needs. All in all, it seems like KDC worked on half the house and did some in a timely and expert way. We've recommended them to friends and happy to do so for others. It was refreshing trusting someone to do a great job with minimal supervision and we're thrilled with the results.

This review is long overdue, but I've been meaning to share our wonderful experience with Al, Mike…read moreand their team on the multiple projects they completed for our old, complex house. We converted two rooms plus a hallway into a master suite as well as split two large upstairs rooms into three. We had structural concerns and lots of logistics to work out and I wouldn't trust anyone other than Mike to draw up the plans to make sure everything is safe and up to code. Al oversaw the projects and was in constant communication with us and regularly was on site to make sure everything was going smoothly. If anything wasn't 100% correct or what we had discussed, he would make sure it was remedied. Big shout out to Franz who even showed up to work the day after his wife had a baby! The M3 team worked late days and on weekends (with our consent) to meet their deadlines, even when the county held them up with permitting issues they still worked hard to finish within our timeframe. We even made major changes to our plans after construction had begun and they were able to pivot and help us get more square footage for the upstairs bedrooms. There were also numerous curveballs that they handled with ease (ya never know what you'll get with an old house). This was our first time doing any sort of large project and the team at M3 gave us plenty of guidance and support to make sure the finished product exceeded our expectations. If you want something done right the first time, then I highly recommend contacting M3!! If we stay in this house then you guys won't be done with us yet! -Cristen, Phil and now +2 (!)

Excellent kitchen and master bathroom remodeling done by KBR Fairfax…read more My 2 projects started end of June and completed mid August. I waited to post this review after fully using the kitchen and bathroom for 2 months, and everything has held up great (no issues). Pricing: KBR gave us the best pricing for the quality of work done. We got estimates from Beautiful Home Services and Dream Design Construction, both of which priced similar remodels thousands of $$ higher. Our kitchen and master bathroom remodel total was around $53K for our single family home. Design: Our Designer Burak, Project Manager Hussein, and Assist PM Omar were very nice and professional. Throughout the whole project, we enjoyed working with them, and they were flexible in accommodating our requests. The KBR Manager was clear about the additional cost over runs. Quality: Our estimated project completion was 4 weeks but as with any renovation, we ran into electrical and plumbing issues (from original house) that needed to be corrected. Our actual completion time was 7.5 weeks, but KBR's team of technicians did a VERY thorough job installing new dedicated electrical lines and plumbing. You'd rather have everything done right (licensed and permits) rather than fast. Fairfax County inspectors approved all the electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work. Details: Every day the technicians would prep the work areas to protect the surrounding rooms and cleanup equipment to help keep my children and family safe. The workers arrive early and leave on time daily, and some Saturday's they asked to work to help keep on schedule. KBR sends a truck to pickup the trash and debris every week from our driveway which avoided any issues with our HOA. Tips: if you can, you should dedicate 1 indoor garage space for their team to store equipment and materials. This speeds up daily setup and clean up. Order kitchen appliances from Costco (2 year manuf. warranty + buy Square Trade Extended warranty for 3 years $99-$120). Summary: The results speak for themselves, and my wife and I are very happy with our new Kitchen and Master Bath. Thank you KBR!

It took over "two years" and the County of Fairfax had to get involved for them to take care of us. They did sloppy and unsafe work. This was confirmed by independent inspectors that we hired and the County of Fairfax Permit Department. Below are some highlights. -Multiple Code Violations for electrical, plumbing and structural issues. -Multiple leaks with ceiling damage. -Our master bath had to be demolished 3 times for them to resolve issues that they generated. -Over 100 issues between the 3 bathrooms. Some were cosmetic others were very major and required demolition. KBR is inept, unprofessional and performed outright illegal/unsafe work. I can provide full documentation and photos to confirm this review is honest and accurate.

This is a two-fold review. 8/2013 $10K spent on tile and grout for a master bedroom, master bath, entire kitchen, living area, laundry room and half bath. Worked with the most amazing designer, Ana Laserna. So many incredible choices i wished i had 10 bathrooms and bedrooms to decorate (my budget said otherwise). Still, this was a very sizeable spend for me. I was beyond thrilled with my choices, thanks to Ana. Service, response time, quality and pricing - all outstanding. 2/2019 A sizeable part of my master bath shower grout on the floor and walls had changed from the "Light Smoke" to WHITE. Couldn't figure it out. No amount of cleaners would fix it. On 2/2, I called Mosaic Tile in Chantilly and the most knowledgable woman, Jen, answered the phone. I had all my original receipts (yes, one of those and it has been a blessing) and described my dilemma. She knew immediately what had happened and knew that the Cement Grout Glaze Remover would fix it. She was so helpful and Mosaic Tile is fortunate she works for them. Unfortunately, driving to Chantilly from Old Town is like a full day trip. Jen struck gold again. There is also a Mosaic Tile in Alexandria, 15 minutes from me. She even went into the computer and saw they had two in inventory. Off i flew, since they closed in 30 minutes. Well, i learned WHY my grout had turned white. My lousy contractor ( who will remain unnamed becuase I still have issues with them, five years after the fact) put too much water in the grout and this caused it to discolor. Didn't surprise me they had made the mistake. Super Bowl Sunday. Time to test this out on a portion of the shower floor. I've attached a picture of my "before" floor. Hopefully i will return within a week and post an "after" picture.

This employee-owned business has perfected the art of all things baking and has made it accessible for the masses. You can purchase their items at Whole Foods and even BJ's ... but this store is truly a showcase of their greatest hits. I nearly blacked out as I placed box after box of baking mix into my cart. Their mixes run the gamut from scones, pancakes, popovers, babka, muffins, pretzels, pizza dough, and more. I got 20% off since it was Black Friday and they even gave me a little bundt cake ornament as a special gift. They had their gingerbread cake out to sample, and it was surprisingly delicious (as someone who does not traditionally like gingerbread). This is a pop-up that is scheduled to close soon but I hope that they find another home in the area soon. Everyone I interacted with was super nice and friendly too!

Work included relocation of walls, replacing plumbing pipes and fixtures, replacing ceiling light fixtures, adding electrical outlets, replacing a bathroom and kitchen, new wood floors, trim casework, replacing interior doors, and renovating a fireplace. The renovation project was complex because this is a second home, and I was not on site while any work was underway. Communications and commitments during the renovation were consistent and reliable. All the design work and selection of appliances, fixtures, cabinets, tiles, floor stains, paint colors, and cabinets were completed while working remotely with the BHS design team, who provided well-thought-out options. BHS completed the condominium renovation with minimal rework while efficiently managing change orders. While working with BHS, you will be transitioning from a pre-project team, design team, project team, and on-site project leads. Tracking the details and over-communicating will be required to define on the front end what you want and, throughout the project, to ensure that you get the expected results and quality. I purchased a brand-new refrigerator that was delivered with large visible scratches and a noticeable dent on the freezer drawer. I reported the damage shortly after delivery and provided photos. I contacted salesperson Rodney Pierce multiple times by email and phone. He did not respond to my emails, and the only acknowledgment I received was when I called him directly. During that call, he told me he would follow up regarding a credit or adjustment, but I never received a resolution. I eventually escalated the matter to store manager Billy Harris, but received no response from him either. Nearly two months later, there was still no meaningful resolution from the Fairfax store. My experience was that customer service was attentive when they wanted my business, but after the sale, the communication and follow-through disappeared. I ultimately had to involve my credit card company before the matter was taken seriously. Corporate eventually stepped in and offered a discounted adjustment, which I accepted. However, the lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability from the Fairfax store was extremely disappointing. After spending a significant amount of money on new appliances, I expected much better customer service. After this experience, I would personally take my business elsewhere and would think twice before recommending this location to others.
