In today's business society, we always hear of dissatisfaction and complaints when customers do not get their way. In general, good comments and recognition tend to go by the wayside when a business owner or service provider goes above and beyond your requests or expectations. Mr. Farley not only performs to my expectations, but he also goes above them. He's being doing work for me and my church organization since 2011 and it's been my experience in both service and customer care that Tim displays what's missing in today's world of customer service and knowledge of current technology. Whether it was audio/visual inquiries or just general follow-up questions & concerns, Tim was able to clearly & patiently answer all of them. Mr. Farley has been very thorough and meticulous in his services that includes audio/visual upgrades, networking solutions, and now even home automation. He is pleasant to speak with and has always been very truthful in his assessment of what my needs are. His commitment to providing excellent customer service matched with his technology knowledge only influences my decision to both recommend him and his services to my friends, family, and businesses.     This is not a good service. I paid $300 dollars to get this service connected in April via bank…read moretransfer. JT wanted the money straight away so he met us to get cash from us and assured me that once the electronic transfer was completed he would refund the additional money. A few weeks later he said he was having difficulty with getting their accounts team to refund the additional $300 I paid him. I said he could apply it to our account for 6 months so I did not have to worry about paying them each month for the next 6 months. In the meantime the service which is run through a Roku box kept going down. We only had continuous service for a few weeks out of the 3 months that we had been connected. Almost 3 weeks ago the service went down completely. JT does not answer the phone and cannot still give us a specific date as to when the service will be restored, only to say that they have developers working on the app and they were hacked. I asked him to refund the advance money that I paid him or at least a prorated portion so I could go and get a different service. He said he has to ask him management. That was last week. I have sent him several text messages and called several times and have not received any response. This service is most likely a SCAM. DO NOT USE.

    Ugh... I have been trying to help my dad with his Optimum cable issues. For weeks his printers kept…read moredropping off the network. We have tried four different printers, resets, etc. So maybe it's the router. We exchanged the router and were told "it's activated and ready to go." Sure, that is after another hour spent with tech support on the phone. This doesn't happen some of the time, it happens all of the time! But, that fixed the problem, so it was an Optimum router issue. Now, one day later, the cable box is giving me an error every time I try to switch the channel with the guide. And the video goes on and off. I have been through all of the troubleshooting procedures with no luck. -Update. After some research and troubleshooting, I found that the cable box uses the modem/router to update the guide. It turns out that the cable box is incompatible with the new modem/router. Hmmm, you think that they would have known that when they issued us the new modem/router. I guess it's another trip to their store. I did find that connecting an Ethernet cable between the router and cable box fixed the problem after a reboot. -Optimum, your Yelp comments from "Business Owner" are not helpful. You see your one-star average review and are doing nothing about it. No business with one-star is worthy of the customers that support them!

I can not say enough nice things about him. I was very frustrated after a chat and phone calls with Optimum customer service over a two day span. Tyler knew exactly what was wrong when he walked in. He explained everything to me and made sure all my devices were connected to my new modem/router before he left. I've had two great experiences with Optimum and they have been interactions with technicians, real people, not AI chats and phone calls.
