Amazing time with Cut Plug Charters - Captain Justin. He's the man! It's my first time salmon fishing and a friend was visiting from out of town, so we rallied up four folks to charter a boat. Captain Justin set-us up and got us on several coho! We felt lucky because it sounded like other boats didn't have as much luck as we did and we're grateful for the bites! Captain Justin's super chill, helpful, instructive, and does everything to help you get on a fish from the time you start to the time you end. We had a blast and felt like we were just out on a boat with friends (including our Captain)! Took home 4 cohos amongst the 4 of us that day, and had a few other bites that we lost or released. Let's start with Captain Justin, I called this guy at 9pm at night or somewhere close to that time. Captain Justin answered the phone with cheer in his heart, I heard it, he said he didn't have room on his boat, but told me let me call this other Captain, cause it is the last day for kings tomorrow. To my surprise he did call me back, he told me that Captain Thao would be more then happy to get us out there and we would be able to meet up with him at 6:30 am, I was excited and agreed to the trip, spending time with my son is always a priority. The conversation went so well with Captain Justin, we forgot to exchange names and do the deposit, we took care of that and my son and I prepared for a fishing trip. The next day, we met Captain Thao at the docks, we had no idea we were meeting a friend, family member for life. Thao from the stray fit right in with my son, his friend and I, like no other. We talked laughed like we knew each other for years. We forgot sometimes that we were paying for a fishing trip, hell I did care if I caught a fish at one point, I enjoyed my time with the three young men on this boat. I enjoyed seeing the man my son had become, I enjoyed seeing my son's friend talk about graduating from UW and becoming a Doctor and enjoyed meeting a new fishing friend Thao. I felt blessed and proud to be there. By the end of the trip, we caught 6-7 Flounder, my son got 1 black mouth King, the day was one I will never forget. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Trying to schedule and coordinate with this charter was super shady and flakey. I wanted to schedule a specific day, and was told that day was available. They very next morning when I went to book, all of a sudden it wasn't. Then later in the day it was. Really sketchy. So it was scheduled and I paid my deposit. Right before the scheduled day, the captain texted my that he was cancelling due to weather and wanted to push me off until a week later. (Which the weather was projected to be cold and rainy). Now I totally get the captain has the right to cancel due to weather, this happened to be a VERY sunny beautiful day. Seemed really flakey. There were no boating or weather advisories for that area - and all of our friends who have boats went out with no problem at all. Extremely disappointed in this charter. There are plenty of other family owned charters that are more legitimate and not sketchy. I was able to find a nice family owned charter that was happy to take my $1,000 and provide an amazing day. Don't take your chances here. read more

I had such a great time out on the water with Justin. I was out in Seattle for a couple days and decided to take a boat out with my family and Justin was so awesome! He met my uncle and I at the dock right at 0730 and was set to go when we got there--no waiting needed. He gave little tips and pointers along the way on how to handle the fish and how to hook them. He also was so quick to rebait and reposition the boat so that we would get a sure catch! We were out on the water for a couple hours and we had numerous catches but some didn't make the size cut and we had to throw them back. Also! No need to worry about getting a fishing license before because he can get you one right when you get there. Everything is included when you book Justin, the license, the boat, the bait, the rods,etc. Although all i was missing was the beer and music in between the times where the fish weren't biting. But that is all preference. Thanks for such a great time Justin! I look forward to fishing out in Seattle again sometime in the summer and or September when it's prime salmon season! read more

He taught me a few trick of how to fish Lingcod and I were able to catch a pretty good size fish within our trip time.
