Cutplug will get you out on the water rain or shine. They try to get you on fish, but remember it's fishing. I highly recommend Cutplug Charter. They have good captains.

Amazing time with Cut Plug Charters - Captain Justin. He's the man! It's my first time salmon fishing and a friend was visiting from out of town, so we rallied up four folks to charter a boat. Captain Justin set-us up and got us on several coho! We felt lucky because it sounded like other boats didn't have as much luck as we did and we're grateful for the bites! Captain Justin's super chill, helpful, instructive, and does everything to help you get on a fish from the time you start to the time you end. We had a blast and felt like we were just out on a boat with friends (including our Captain)! Took home 4 cohos amongst the 4 of us that day, and had a few other bites that we lost or released. Parking: You park at the Marina in the visitors section. Had no trouble finding parking when we left at 6:30am at Shilshole Marina. All in all, great great time.

Let's start with Captain Justin, I called this guy at 9pm at night or somewhere close to that time. Captain Justin answered the phone with cheer in his heart, I heard it, he said he didn't have room on his boat, but told me let me call this other Captain, cause it is the last day for kings tomorrow. To my surprise he did call me back, he told me that Captain Thao would be more then happy to get us out there and we would be able to meet up with him at 6:30 am, I was excited and agreed to the trip, spending time with my son is always a priority. The conversation went so well with Captain Justin, we forgot to exchange names and do the deposit, we took care of that and my son and I prepared for a fishing trip. The next day, we met Captain Thao at the docks, we had no idea we were meeting a friend, family member for life. Thao from the stray fit right in with my son, his friend and I, like no other. We talked laughed like we knew each other for years. We forgot sometimes that we were paying for a fishing trip, hell I did care if I caught a fish at one point, I enjoyed my time with the three young men on this boat. I enjoyed seeing the man my son had become, I enjoyed seeing my son's friend talk about graduating from UW and becoming a Doctor and enjoyed meeting a new fishing friend Thao. I felt blessed and proud to be there. By the end of the trip, we caught 6-7 Flounder, my son got 1 black mouth King, the day was one I will never forget. This is a company that treasure people, I respect them from hello to I well see you soon. GOOD PEOPLE MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE.

Cpt Thao was an amazing instructor and made everything very memorable! My pops and I have just started fishing and caught our very first fish ever. Our instructor was very informative and knew where to fish. Within 15mins of casting out, I caught this big king salmon! We all ended up catching our limit and had 2hrs to spare with our scheduled time. Wether you're a pro or just starting to fish. This charter will have you leaving like you've accomplished a lot. Most definitely worth while!

Great day fishing with Justin! This is our 4th annual family fishing trip with Justin and our 3 kiddos under 10 Justin is very patient with the kids and puts you on the fish!, 8 Salmon caught, 2 x 12+ lb Kings released due to last minute season closure but seriously worth the fight. Highly recommend using Cut Plug Charters . We will be back thanks Justin!

If you're looking for a private charter in the greater Seattle area, look no further. Captain Justin and Kyle will take care of you. My buddies and I had an amazing time. Captain Justin did not stop trying to put fish on the deck from the time we left the dock until the time we got back. He even filleted our fish and bagged it up so we could take it home. So easy and convenient. Will definitely come back! Caught 4 coho even when other boats nearby were not doing so well. It pays to go with experienced captains!

There are shark in the Puget Sound. Who knew???

Justin made fishing for beginners and pros really easy and fun. My cousin, an avid lake fisherman, had a great time trying to put his hand at "mooching for salmon" in the Puget Sound. Justin and my cousin had a great time comparing stories. As for me, he was great teaching me how to fish from the first time. Granted my first catch was a Dogfish Shark that got away with my hook and bait, it was still exciting. I'll definitely be recommending Justin to friends and booking more trips in the future.

Awesome day on the water. It started out foggy then start to clear up. The sun did come out. We caught shakers. Hope to go out again soon. Make your RSVP for Spring and Summer trips.

Last day in MA11 and Justin came through clutch for us!

Had a great time fishing with Justin on the Puget Sound. This was my second trip, back to back weekends now too. That just shows you how much of a good time you can have fishing with Captain Justin. Captain Justin isn't only a knowledgeable fishermen, but he's very hospitable. Justin will not only try his best to put you on some fish but he'll talk to you and get to know you. If you're in the Seattle area and look forward to fishing on the Sound, Captain Justin is your guy!

Harbor seals, even though a nuisance, very cool for us city folks!

I'm a pro fisherman, but Justin is an expert in Puget waters and taught me a lot about the salmon bite here. Flawless boat, excellent instruction, great communication and pics. Made the experience one of my top 5 all time of over 30 trips on saltwater. If we weren't catching, we moved position and started catching. I caught the biggest winter nonmigratory King of the season, and 3 other solid fish. We released two other species and and he kept us on the bite. Great guy and great experience, I be back this year for certain. Amazing!

    Beautiful Coho!

Captain Justin is awesome! First time salmon fishing and Justin made the experience truly unforgettable!

Justin and his mate were very professional. Always was willing to help. Second year with him. Never a slow moment, better than trolling. Will always go with Justin, he finds the fish!

EWA is more than a fly fishing shop. This is a community-driven business staffed by extremely…read moreknowledgeable, kind, and attentive people who love their sport and truly want to help. I lost an irreplaceable rod on a river yesterday. I never would have found it without the incredible help of Muaaz, one of the staff members, who was so exceedingly caring and attentive that he voluntarily managed to track down the person who grabbed it from the bank. Thank you, Muaaz! Many fly shops are intimidating. Most are uncomfortable to hang out in. Plenty of them employ "experts" who are outright disdainful and rude to customers who don't know what they're doing. Most other shops aren't designed to foster a real community, let alone bring a positive force to the larger community of the neighborhood. There isn't a single employee here who won't go above and beyond for you, whether you're an absolute novice, intermediate to expert angler, or just have a friend or family member who's into fly fishing. Need a gift for the angler in your life? Curious about why people are so obsessed with this sport? Want to understand why matching a rod with the appropriate reel, line, leader, and tippet seems so complicated? Want to know if that piece of equipment is really worth the price tag? Maybe you don't really need anything, but you'd like to hang out in a comfortable space designed for customers like you to relax and socialize. Maybe you're tinkering with the idea of getting into fly tying but have no idea where to start. Or perhaps you could really use some expert advice based extensive experience -- without being told you have to buy $2,000 worth of whatever. If any of the above rings a bell, this is the place. No upselling, no uptight attitudes, no joke. This place is invested in making a real contribution to the community of West Seattle. If you live closer to another shop, give this one a shot. It's worth the trip, and you might not go back to that other place. The junction is lucky to have EWA at their new location on California Ave. I shop here instead of buying directly from vendors because there's no price gouging or elitist vibe, and because I honestly want this business to thrive. Most of the other customers who frequent this place do too. Moving this shop from 42nd and Oregon to the heart of the junction took an enormous group effort. There's a good reason so many of its customers volunteered to help with whatever was needed. There are also plenty of good reasons I've spent this much of my time and this many words writing a yelp review. Come see what all this fuss is about.

I've been to plenty of fly shops, but EWA will have my patronage as long as I live near Seattle…read more Staff is incredibly friendly and excited to get people out on the water. The shop's dedication to be carbon-neutral and support Patagonia's upcycled wader program is really commendable, and the fly-tying materials are excellent.
