Such a fun morning crabbing with Capt AJ. Planned this for a big family group. Capt Dale helped find a second boat so we could all go out. Communication before was great. Experience super fun. Highly recommend.

Had an awesome time with Captain Dale. Boat was comfortable and spacious. Dale worked hard to get us on the fish all day. Would definitely return and use Ruby D again. Super fun!

We had an amazing day with Dale and Nick. We limited on King Salmon within the first two hours. They were entertaining and made the experience well worth it!! I highly recommend this well run professional. Thanks Guys

Booked a fishing trip here with Captain Dale for my husband for Fathers Day. We had a blast. Caught our limit on salmon! The kids thought it was awesome. My four year old keeps telling us everyday that that was the best day ever.

Can't say enough at how great of a time my family and I had! Captain Dale was an expert of the sea, knowing all the best spots and tricks to catch all kinds of fish based on the season. This was a white glove experience and we caught tons of fish! My son had to call it a day at catch number 10 and he was at first very hesitant of the whole trip.

Beautiful sunrise and salmon ahead

Had an awesome Sunday morning fishing and crabbing trip with Captain Dale. We appreciated him being super open and honest about the not-so-great fishing season and him offering and even suggesting to move the trip several times just to make sure we had a good time. Dale's Vessel - Ruby D - is less than a year old, in fantastic shape and clean - including the bathroom. We had a great time, fun conversations and got all of our many questions answered. Between a king, some coho and a handful of crabs we also sure didn't have to go to bed hungry. Went fishing for the first time and had a blast.

My husband and I caught some fish & cooked a delicious dinner right after! We had a good time because Dale was friendly and attentive. His boat was very clean and the views were just amazing! I highly recommend you take Ruby D on your next fishing adventure!

My husband booked this charter weeks ahead of time to take out our daughter and her husband for a day of LingCod and flounder fishing. while we visited the Seattle area. When we arrived we had no trouble locating Captain Dale at the marina. He was clean, smiling, and very personable. We went aboard and got situated where he proceeded to give us a safety briefing. He honestly advised us that the fishing hadn't been the best over the last few trips. He would do everything in his power to see that we wouldn't be disappointed. We assured him that we were there for the fun, as well as the fish! We immediately set out to catch bait fish. I could tell immediately by his clear instructions and obvious patience with some of our less experienced group that it was going to be a great day! After the baitfish we went a short distance to begin our search for LingCod. As Captain Dale readied our gear, he patiently answered our many questions as he continued to give us clear and concise instructions. We had our poles in the water for about 15 minutes when one of our group had the first serious bite. Our son-in-law spent about 10 minutes reeling in the perfect sized keeper! (See photo.) We took plenty of pictures before going back at it. We were situated not far from a whale tour and had decided to take a short detour to see if we could see any whales before moving on to the flounder area. Just as we started to reel in the gear, my husband got a strike. He enjoyed the next 20 minute fight with a huge 44" LingCod. (See photo.) it was too big to keep, so after another round of pics, we tossed it back. We then followed the whale tour for a few minutes and were able to see a whale breach several times before migrating to the flounder area. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get any clear pictures, but the sight was amazing! At the flounder area, all of our party were able to catch our limit! They weren't huge, but still keepers, and very fun to catch! He cleaned and bagged our catch before we left. Overall it was a fantastic day and well worth the time and money! We would definitely do it again. I highly recommend fishing with Captain Dale. He is a great captain with a lot of experience and ample patience.

Took my boyfriend for his birthday on the 6 hour charter on Captain Dale's boat. It was my first time fishing and it was so much fun! We caught a bunch of flounder and a few rockfish (that we had to throw back in), searched for lingcod with no luck but it was still lots of fun. Captain Dale is awesome, helpful, and just there to make sure everyone is having fun and enjoying their time. We would go again and would recommend friends to use his services if ever want to go on a fun fishing trip!

King Salmon caught with Captain Dale 08/06/17

Captain Dale and Eddie were great! Very kind, knowledgeable, and willing to explain things (sometimes more than once ;)) to fishing newbies like myself and some others in our party. We spent a nice, cool morning on the Ruby D on the hunt for king salmon. The morning started slow and we bounced around to a few spots, but before the morning was over we'd reeled in a dogfish, a few salmon - some too small, but also a big guy that will soon be dinner! If we head out to sea for salmon again, we'll be calling Captain Dale for sure.

This ended up more of a pleasant boat ride than whale watching as we didn't get to see any orcas (such a bummer!) and only got to see one single, elusive Humpback whale name Victory. I can't fault the tour for that, but it definitely impacts the experience. It was still a nice boat ride, with friendly staff onboard and the fortunate luck of sitting at the back of the boat next to a conservationist-led tour group with a lot of knowledge shared. On the brighter side, the weather was beautiful and we got to see two kinds of puffin and some sea lions as well. Just wish we got to see whales, instead of just one.

I don't know why, but I have always been scared crossing the bridge over the railroad tracks on the way from the parking lot to the beach. I have no fear of heights, and in fact I feel much more peaceful in the air or on the water than I do on the earth. The bridge is sturdy and safe, with tall, secure fencing on both sides. Little kids were crossing it today with no fear at all. One little kid was getting pulled across it in a large wagon. That was pretty cute to see. It is a bit of a trek from the parking lot to the beach area, a trek that includes this perfectly safe bridge which I somehow mysteriously feel scared while walking on. I recently injured my right heel playing tennis, so I was limping and hobbling and walking quite slowly, but this walk was still quite doable for me today. There were a lot of people at this beach park today, but it really didn't feel crowded, and everyone we talked to was friendly. The only slight bummer was that one of the reasons that we went out there today was to talk with a Naturalist from the Seattle Aquarium. We talked with 3 different Naturalists. They were all friendly enough, but all 3 of them seemed noticeably unenthusiastic about talking about the sea life at this beach park. Oh well, we moved on pretty quickly from that, and we really enjoyed this beach park anyway. There were a few people flying kites, and the mountains looked clear and bright behind the sunlit water. I waded in the water (one of my favorite things to do in life), and the cold waves breaking over my legs and feet felt wonderful on a hot day like today. 5 stars for sure. This place is so beautiful.
