Took my son out yesterday with Captain Steve and McKalea (hopefully I spelled your name right)‍ We were on fish early and caught our limit of Coho. Not only are they very knowledgeable of the area, but they made us feel quite at home. His pricing is fair and he will answer any questions you have when booking your charter. I highly recommend this family business for a great day on the water!!

What an Awesome day we had with Steve and his Daughter McKenna. We got our limit and he gave me Valuable tips for when I get my own Boat. My Father in law came from Colorado and caught his first Salmon. And my son got his first Chinook. I highly recommend going on one of Steve's Chartered trip. Him and his daughter made it an unforgettable Day.

I've chartered salmon boats in Michigan before, and Capt Steve and his son Ben were outstanding today for our visit to the Sound! What a memorable time! Over 30 fish on for the 3 of us, and we kept a beaut Coho and some great Pinks! Very warm and friendly, incredible experience, great patience, and fun stories kept the boat lively throughout. Highly, highly recommend this family owned charter! Grab 'em by the tail! ;)

A successful day fishing!

I am a little late posting this review but I just wanted to say that we had an awesome time salmon fishing on Peugeot Sound about two weeks ago with Captain Steve. We don't live near Seattle so this was just through an internet search that we booked with Adventure Charters. The reviews were right- what a great time! Before the trip Captain Steve texted to make sure we knew the location and time of our departure and even adjusted the time a bit to make sure we were fishing at the best time based on what was happening in the Sound. We booked the trip with our son, his girlfriend, and her parents who we had never met. He made sure we all felt comfortable and kept us all laughing. He went to several places to make sure we each caught a fish and he even cleaned the fish too! Thanks for making our "meet the parents" event successful. We all had a great time!

Perfect Day with my Little one!

Took my Granddaughter Salmon fishing yesterday with Adventure Charters........AWESOME TIME! Captain Craig was our skipper and he has a perfect personality when it comes to welcoming everyone and making them feel ay home. We were joined up with a great family of 3 and we caught 6 Coho and 1 nice King Salmon. The boat was well keep and felt safe at all times. I'm giving them 5 stars because of their personify and making sure we were all involved and having fun! We will book them again without evan looking anywhere else! Thanks Captain Craig!

My bf loves to fish and I love to eat, so we decided to go to Seattle for a long weekend vacation from the Bay Area. My bf called Adventure Charters and booked everything in 10 minutes, really simple and very quick. The dock was easy to find. We got there around 6:30 am, was out on the water around 7 and caught our first fish by 7:30. The trip was really enjoyable, lots of exciting moments and just enough down time to take in the scenes of the Puget Sound. We docked around 12:30 in the afternoon and were only 1 fish away from the boat's limit. It was my first time fishing on a charter and, thanks to Cpt. Steve, I also caught my first fish ever! He guided me through everything. He was knowledgeable and funny too! At the end of the day, he cleans and cuts up the fish for you any way you want which is both really convenient and quite a show! If you want a great experience, go with Adventure Charters!

We had a great time on our trip with Captain Craig Lofton!! He was so patient with all of the newbies on the boat and did a great job making sure everyone got in on the action on a slow fishing day. It was my first fishing trip and now I am 'hooked'!

It was an awesome day spent with my team and the crews from Adventure Charters. We were on a boat of 8 people and 2 pods, and we caught 5 large king salmons during the trip! The crews were very kind and helpful. Notwithstanding that this is my first fishing experience, they helped me when to roll fast, when to stop, and when to come close. What an awesome trip! Remember to get up early, take sunglasses, caps, sunscreens, delicious food and drinks! We found these guys on Yelp and so glad we did! Today we went for a 6 hour morning Coho Salmon fishing trip and had a blast! Captain Craig was awesome! Very knowledgeable and really nice guy! I would highly recommend them! We caught some beautiful salmon and Craig filleted them right there on the boat at the end of the day. Such memorable experience!

EWA is more than a fly fishing shop. This is a community-driven business staffed by extremely…read moreknowledgeable, kind, and attentive people who love their sport and truly want to help. I lost an irreplaceable rod on a river yesterday. I never would have found it without the incredible help of Muaaz, one of the staff members, who was so exceedingly caring and attentive that he voluntarily managed to track down the person who grabbed it from the bank. Thank you, Muaaz! Many fly shops are intimidating. Most are uncomfortable to hang out in. Plenty of them employ "experts" who are outright disdainful and rude to customers who don't know what they're doing. Most other shops aren't designed to foster a real community, let alone bring a positive force to the larger community of the neighborhood. There isn't a single employee here who won't go above and beyond for you, whether you're an absolute novice, intermediate to expert angler, or just have a friend or family member who's into fly fishing. Need a gift for the angler in your life? Curious about why people are so obsessed with this sport? Want to understand why matching a rod with the appropriate reel, line, leader, and tippet seems so complicated? Want to know if that piece of equipment is really worth the price tag? Maybe you don't really need anything, but you'd like to hang out in a comfortable space designed for customers like you to relax and socialize. Maybe you're tinkering with the idea of getting into fly tying but have no idea where to start. Or perhaps you could really use some expert advice based extensive experience -- without being told you have to buy $2,000 worth of whatever. If any of the above rings a bell, this is the place. No upselling, no uptight attitudes, no joke. This place is invested in making a real contribution to the community of West Seattle. If you live closer to another shop, give this one a shot. It's worth the trip, and you might not go back to that other place. The junction is lucky to have EWA at their new location on California Ave. I shop here instead of buying directly from vendors because there's no price gouging or elitist vibe, and because I honestly want this business to thrive. Most of the other customers who frequent this place do too. Moving this shop from 42nd and Oregon to the heart of the junction took an enormous group effort. There's a good reason so many of its customers volunteered to help with whatever was needed. There are also plenty of good reasons I've spent this much of my time and this many words writing a yelp review. Come see what all this fuss is about.

I've been to plenty of fly shops, but EWA will have my patronage as long as I live near Seattle…read more Staff is incredibly friendly and excited to get people out on the water. The shop's dedication to be carbon-neutral and support Patagonia's upcycled wader program is really commendable, and the fly-tying materials are excellent.
