July 3, Captain Steve and his daughter Makenna hosted 2 children (11 & 12) and 3 adults fishing. He was patient, informative and funny with the Kids. We caught 3 COHO keepers and several others. On our way out, we dropped pods in the AM and got 5 Dungeous crabs on our way home. Lucky for us the season just openned up. Captain Craig is the man! Highly recommend him for a fantastic day of fishing. I had never been fishing before and he was extremely patient and knowledgeable, which was a great first experience. We also got to fish multiple different techniques, which were all successful because he knew all the best spots! We caught salmon, flounder and crabs and Craig knew which ones we had to throw back and which to take. We have an awesome feast tonight because Craig was kind enough to gut them for us. I am a little late posting this review but I just wanted to say that we had an awesome time salmon fishing on Peugeot Sound about two weeks ago with Captain Steve. We don't live near Seattle so this was just through an internet search that we booked with Adventure Charters. The reviews were right- what a great time! Before the trip Captain Steve texted to make sure we knew the location and time of our departure and even adjusted the time a bit to make sure we were fishing at the best time based on what was happening in the Sound. We booked the trip with our son, his girlfriend, and her parents who we had never met. He made sure we all felt comfortable and kept us all laughing. My bf loves to fish and I love to eat, so we decided to go to Seattle for a long weekend vacation from the Bay Area. My bf called Adventure Charters and booked everything in 10 minutes, really simple and very quick. The dock was easy to find. We got there around 6:30 am, was out on the water around 7 and caught our first fish by 7:30. The trip was really enjoyable, lots of exciting moments and just enough down time to take in the scenes of the Puget Sound. We docked around 12:30 in the afternoon and were only 1 fish away from the boat's limit. It was my first time fishing on a charter and, thanks to Cpt. Steve, I also caught my first fish ever! He guided me through everything. He was knowledgeable and funny too! At the end of the day, he cleans and cuts up the fish for you any way you want which is both really convenient and quite a show! My dad and I had a really great time with Captain Steve. I'm not an experienced fisherperson, but that honestly didn't matter a bit. We each caught a beautiful fish (including the two other passengers that accompanies us on the charter). A few times we picked up and moved to other locations to get in a better position. This was partially due to the fact that Captain Steve has an in with some other boat captains and they have each other's back on where the fish are churning. It felt like we had an edge on the other boats, which rocked. Even though I'm new to salmon fishing now, I hope to learn. Captain Steve showed me how to filet a fish a few different ways, which I appreciated. He seems amenable to requests, so try asking if there's something you want to learn. Captain Steve is AWESOME. I found Adventure Charters on Yelp and picked them after seeing all of the other reviews for a work morale event. We were not disappointed! Steve gave me all of the in-depth details I wanted up front, plus called me the day before to let me know he'd been checking the fishing reports. He decided he wanted to try further out than his normal spot because the fishing was reportedly very hot there. Despite not being his "usual spot" he was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the area and had us on some nice sized Chinooks within a half an hour of arriving! From there it was non-stop fun. Our group of six reeled in 10 fish total, with 5 keepers that will keep our freezers full for a while. Steve and his first mate did a great job keeping us entertained and focused on the catch and keeping us right on the best spot, despite a LOT of other boats in the same area. He even kept us out longer than the 6 hours just because the transit time was so much longer than it would have been to the normal site. After we got back he expertly filleted our catch and gave us recommendations on smokehouses. A great day and everyone loved it. Steve will be my first choice for Puget Sound salmon charters from now on! read more

Ok. Based on the other Yelp reviews, we are not alone when we highly recommend Captain Craig with Adventure Charters. We had a tour on Sunday afternoon that was very fun. We are novice fisher-people and wanted to have an adventure. Craig was patient, energetic, knowledgeable, and personable. We went on a four-hour trip. He knew exactly where the fish were biting because he is experienced and has the proper equipment on board. His boat is well maintained, more comfortable for three to four people. We were five, but close-knit so it was fine. Craig made ever effort to be sure we had a great experience. We had two lines in with deep water booms unless we were reeling something in. We caught several juvenile salmon and released them, a nice sized hatchery Chinook that we kept, a dogfish, and a very big wild Chinook that we released because they're endangered. Craig coached us, encouraged us, and helped us have a great adventure! Worth every penny! read more

I can't say enough about how amazing this trip was. Captain Steve got us onto the fish early and often, and we were hooking fish more frequently than any of the nearby boats. We ended up hitting the limit and heading back in with two beautiful coho salmon. While things were quiet on the boat, Captain Steve gave us recommendations on awesome, cheap places to eat. He also brought us to take pictures of sea lions while traveling from one fishing area to another. When we headed back in, Steve filleted the fish for us, taking care not to waste any of the fish, and ensured we had a way to take them home; he also gave us a tip on how to make a great broth out of the leftover bodies and heads. Captain Steve was an excellent guide and made sure we had a great outing. We are looking forward to our next trip out with captain Steve! read more

Steve informed him exactly of what he needed to bring, time to meet and answered my husband's questions on the phone or via text very promptly. We arrived at 6:30am with another party and were out on the water by 7. My husband and I shared a rod and rail while the other party had their own. Steve was fair and friendly and extremely informative and passionate about what he does. We moved around the sound a bit- when it became stagnant and no fish. It was my first salmon fishing boat charter adventure and it was so worth it. Captain Steve was our guide. He was entertaining and funny. He gave us information and instructions how to catch coho salmon. I caught 2 big ones but can't keep them because they were wild salmon and we released them. Only hatchery ones could be kept. I caught my 2 day limit. It was a little over 6 hours of salmon fishing. He even cleaned and filet them. He also gave me a few chances to drive the boat.
