Deceptive Business Practices:…read more To secure my elderly mother's home, we retained the services of ADT, through a local shop. Install was easy, and use was easy. But, not long after signing up, on a 1 year contract, ADT sold off the "monitoring" of the account, to "Defenders Inc., dba. Protect Your Home". They have changed the contract length, with no warning or notice, to THREE YEARS. Since the house is being sold now, over 2 years later, we called to cancel the service, and was informed, this past month, that the contract was fulfilled, and we would receive a final bill. Then we were shocked a few weeks later, to receive a notice of a $1000 BILL, for not fulfilling the contract. So imagine my surprise, when I call them back today, to be told the contract is for THREE YEARS. I asked when did they change that, without the customers notification, or permission? They could not answer, nor would they refer me to their supervisor. So, I'm going to keep going up the chain of command,at both ADT and Defenders, if not get the BBB & local government involved as well for fraudulent and deceptive business practices.

They have many services, but we were looking for someone to make duplicate sets of keys for our RV (Southwind motorhome). We made a lot of calls only to get answering machines, mobile locksmiths, and kiosk machines. None of these helped, so we drove to Always and were able to get our duplicates made on the spot. The locksmith who waited on us was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He also warned us about some mobile locksmith bait-and-switch scams and how to avoid them (check their business license/permit). I highly recommend Always Safe & Lock if you need keys or other locksmith services.

The pros at Connect&Protect are the real deal!…read more I wanted 24h security cameras installed and evaluated a few companies and pros. Here's what set them apart: - Responsive and generous with advice on my home security needs even before hiring - Flexible planning and open to feedback. We had a good plan after an initial walkthrough, but even as I changed my mind a couple of times, they were open to discussion and iterating on a final plan with me - Competitive pricing The actual install itself was impeccable. High quality drilling, great wire management. If I had hired a handy man, this is where the work would have ended. But we ran into a complication with networking and the pros at Connect&Protect were able to effectively troubleshoot and fix it. It was a great experience end-to-end. It's clear that the folks at Connect&Protect cares about their customers and truly enjoy their craft. Highly recommended!

Not sure why this place gets great reviews on Google, but I have had nothing but a horrible…read moreexperience. I booked this company in early June through an app called "Thumbtack" to install cable drops from my router to my office. After not hearing a response for a couple of days, I should have taken this as a sign, but I called the company to see what the hold up was. My phone call was returned-- and after a polite conversation with the owner, Khalil scheduled me for the 28th of June. between 10 am - 7pm. After about 12 noon, I didn't get a call from anyone so I called, and they said they would see where the tech was, and would call me back. After a few hours, I got a call back from the company and they told me they wouldn't be able to make it-- but had an opening on the 4th of July, and they could get me in. I was skeptical with it being a holiday, but they assured me that they would be there. Well, the 4th came and went, and not only did they not show up, I couldn't get in touch with ANYONE to figure out what was going on. The following Monday, I was called by the company after I left a message to figure out what happened. The owner eventually called me back-- and he apologized profusely and gave me some discounts to things and promised he would reduce my price. I gave him the benefit of the doubt.. (I know) But said he could be out there on Friday, July 18th. Between 10-5pm. As you can probably see, by noon, I got a message from the owner that he was stuck at a job and if he couldn't make it, could we change it again to 22nd of July. I told him that if he couldn't make it, then I would want a refund. I decided to cancel as it continually shows that I am not a priority. I was promised that I would be the first customer first thing on the 18th, but it has shown that he has put me on the back burner again. I also had to call each time, and it took forever to receive any service. I would highly suggest anyone considering them to read this post and be aware. I am currently waiting for a refund that was supposed to take 2 weeks, but they offered a cashier's check, which I accepted. Please don't book this company for any work if you value your money or your time.

I guess I'll be the exception and give this Xfinity store a good review for the service received when we stopped in to add a couple services to a basic account. We dropped in sort of mid-day on a weekday and had a minimal 10'ish minute wait before being called on. Very special kudos to Dave, the customer service rep who took care of us. His service is what this review is really about. He was well informed on the Comcast products, including a rather obscure one we were adding, & fluid in navigating their order system. He was genuinely friendly, engaging, and fun. His personality kept the process of taking care of business light and easy. His service was solid 5 star level!! He was super comprehensive & clear informing us what our added service should look like at home. He gave us the needed boxes & cables to install, since we wanted to avoid a technician visit fee. The install was pretty simple & straightforward for an old I.T. guy like me. One demerit for Xfinity back end glitch, that's not this store's fault, that fubarred the service after equipment hookup. Eva at Xfinity customer service call center was patient & proficient at eventually clearing the issue remotely in about half an hour on the phone. She too was friendly, courteous, and proficient.
