Tried getting a motorcycle key cut for a low-production bike at the Ace & they couldn't figure it out. Dropped in here and was out within 5 minutes with two fresh cuts. Good service & good prices, I'll start here next time. read more

Locksmith storefronts are few and far between nowadays, so we were really happy to find Always Safe & Lock in Olympia. They have many services, but we were looking for someone to make duplicate sets of keys for our RV (Southwind motorhome). We made a lot of calls only to get answering machines, mobile locksmiths, and kiosk machines. None of these helped, so we drove to Always and were able to get our duplicates made on the spot. The locksmith who waited on us was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He also warned us about some mobile locksmith bait-and-switch scams and how to avoid them (check their business license/permit). I highly recommend Always Safe & Lock if you need keys or other locksmith services. read more

Always Safe and Lock had an Awesome and knowledgeable staff! They are kind and helpful.

Don was on site as scheduled and fixed the front door latch and a bedroom door handle in a flash. Quality job at a reasonable cost. I have used Always Safe & Lock starting on our home security system back in 1991. Nice to work with a quality company! read more

Called and made an appointment for my gun safe which was acting up. The appointment was 10 days out. With no prompting or follow up on my part they showed up at my place in Shelton on the appointed day at the appointed time and fixed the problem within an hour. Prices were reasonable as well. Highly recommend. read more

I recently purchased a used Motorhome. The unit was in storage and was the target of a theft attempt. When I purchased the vehicle the steering column switch had been damaged and needed to be replaced. I made several unsuccessful attempts to get a locksmith on site to replace and rekey a new switch. When I contacted "Always Safe and Lock" they walked me through the process of removing the old lock cylinder. Then I took the new cylinder to their office to have it keyed. The explained to me how to replace the lock and I went home and got it installed with no issues. Great Service, will use them again if needed. read more

TERRIBLE, RUDE SERVICE!!!!!!. I called to see if I could come in to get a car key programed, and was assured I could get it done if I arrived before 2:00. Left work and came right away at 1:30. Was rudely turned away by a jerk of a guy who refused to provide any sensible reason; just said to come back some other day. read more

Needed a couple keys laser cut for my car. I had the keyfobs already. Service was very friendly. Keys worked like a charm. Would go back anytime. read more

After losing key, Brought my lock mailbox in . Had it fixed asap at great price. Very fast!

Outstanding service. I needed some keys duplicated for high-security specialty locks that were almost 40 years old. The original keys had started to wear out making the deadbolt locks more difficult to open. They had the specialty key blanks in stock and made me several copies with me having to wait only around 10 minutes. All of the duplicated keys worked perfectly. A+++++. read more

I had a car key that needed to be cut. Had it done here for a few dollars and it has worked perfectly!

Bonnie just left our house after installing new hardware on our front door. She was able to key the lock to match our other locks right out of her van. She did a wonderful job in no time, and was very kind and knowledgeable. We will most certainly use this company again, and will recommend them to friends and family. read more

Quick clean and easy. Support your local shops!! Price was good and keys were perfect.

Great service, work, and prices. The prices are a lot cheaper than anywhere else around and I've always gotten good service from here

These guys are great. The are honest, genuine craftsmen at their trade and very very fair in their charges. I stopped in with a problem caused by a lock that I purchased in north Seattle. Those people may have been willing to back up their work but it is a four hour round trip and maybe two hours there. ALWAYS stepped up and saved my situation by picking and repairing the lock and even made a new back-up key. If your in Thurston county and need a locksmith try these guys. You won't be disappointed. read more

Stopped in with a 20 year old car door lock mechanism that didn't work. Ten minutes and a negligible fee later it worked like brand new.

This seems likes a Great business. to get keys and locks made. Prices are reasonable. And the customer service was pretty great. They offer lots of services. From basic house key to elaborate locks and Surveillance systems. Caveat. Make sure you are CLEAR. On the kind of key. Down to the last detail before you. Start any process. The person making the key. May not be the same as the person you talked to at the counter. So confirm with The programmer before he Goes outside. To save you the headache. Of getting something. You did not ask for. . read more

Sadly, I used to receive great service here. Recently I went in and the lady at the counter was very passive aggressive and strangely irritated that I would want to know prices on electronic keypads. She would not show me or talk to me about the product I was searching for. I figured it was just a random experience and brushed it off. I called later and set up an appointment for a home eval/quote instead. The day of my appt, the man called and said he was just leaving (i live 10 min away). He didnt show up for almost an hour which was odd. He then didnt get me a quote for nearly 3 weeks which was also odd as he called once or twice saying he'd get it to me soon (just putting in 2 electronic keypads, drilling 1 hole). I was in no rush so ok, that was fine. Then, the quote was for $2000 and there was no itemization. I could only laugh. I found another local business who did it for $150 after telling me to buy the keypads at a hardware store (about $100 ea). This used to be a great business, hope this is a temporary hiccup. They lost my business though. read more

I would highly recommend Always Safe & Lock in Oly. I just bought a new 2001 model vehicle with a hard to find additional key + t-tops too! They were super friendly and made two extra keys for my ride and the t-tops in just a few minutes, and at a great price. Thanks, guys! read more

I needed a lock picked that was on my trailer hitch since I lost the key. Came here since my company uses them and thought they would do the job quickly. They did not offer to come outside to see the lock, just told me I needed to come back when it wasn't raining since they would have to pick it a few times. I told them I was moving in a week and it was scheduled to be raining for over a week. They didn't seem to care. Maybe you should invest in a rain suit if you are going to be a locksmith in Washington. Not everyone has work to be done inside during the winter. The locksmith I went to, that wasn't afraid of the rain had the lock off in less than a minute. read more

I locked myself out of my house. I called the dispatcher around 1045- he said they'd be busy but could help between 5pm and 7pm. I told them not a problem, followed up with them because I missed call- Tim showed up to my house at 6pm as agreed to. We chatted, he worked- done in no time. Awesome service! Quick, fast, and professional service. Not rude. The price was right. Hey! You gotta pay for the expert, and I'm happy with Always Safe & Lock. Regards Tim read more

dealer recommended that i go here for my key- certified locksmith service and fair pricing.

Only guys around at the time, who could cut my fancy center cut computer chip key. They were far from rude, unlike what all the other reviews say. I was in and out in 15 minutes, new key in hand, and paid less than they quoted. Actually I paid half of what all city quoted me. read more

Came here to get keys made. They are not friendly. But their keys are good. However, I wish they had asked me what I was getting they keys for and suggested that I get my backdoor rekeyed to be the same as my front door - we were buying so many keys that it would have been about the same. read more

I had a lock issue that I couldn't resolve. I went to them and in about 10 minutes they fixed it and wouldn't even take any money. The three people I dealt with were all friendly and very professional. A friend had used them for a couple projects before and was very satisfied. I will go back. read more

Very arrogant. Made me feel like I was wasting their time by not wanting to purchase their $450 lock system. Very rude. I should have read the reviews on Google. read more

It looks like I'm not the only one who was annoyed by this business not keeping appointments. A number of reviews with the same complaint so it seems like it must happen with some frequency. I visited the store and was told I needed to make an appointment. I made an appointment and drove back to town (about 40 minutes one way) only to discover that the technician who was trained to reprogram my keys was not in the office at the appointment time. Some guy who didn't know how to do it tried but was unable. I had to come back to the store for a THIRD time to have the rekeying done. At this point, the business didn't even offer an appointment time - they said MAYBE I could catch the technician in the office on such and such day during such and such hours - no guarantee. I managed to catch the technician by chance on the next try and he was able to get it rekeyed but what a hassled. I asked the business owner if I could get a discount for the inconvenience of coming in so many times. He said no discount but he wouldn't charge me extra for them attempting to rekey and but being unable to. What?! I'd definitely recommend trying some other place if you want your car rekeyed. read more

We were very impressed with the professional service that Julio Fonseca provided in installing a deadbolt in our garage. He arrived within the timeframe the company promised. He noticed that the doorframe was getting mushy and did additional drilling to anchor the deadbolt securely. He was methodical and precise. I was thrilled that he vacuumed and cleaned up the mess before leaving. read more

Everyone was very friendly for making the appointment, however; no one showed up. After the four hour window of when they said someone would arrive was nearly up, I called to ask and was told that since they couldn't find any paperwork for me, the technician probably had it and was on the way. We waited all day, no one ever showed up or called back. read more
