Had my house rekeyed. I wanted all the doors to have the same key however I was left with three different keys. I started with four so some improvement! Not worth the money. We ended up just going into Ace and they rekeyed all the locks for 20 dollars. So way cheaper. Stay away from this business and save money and time go to Ace Hardware instead! read more

I needed a screw for the dead bolt after the head was stripped. I called around to other locksmiths and all they wanted to do was sell me a new lock. I talked to hardware stores and they didn't have screws for deadbolts and wanted to sell me a new lock. I talked to Advantage and they said they have extra screws and to come in. I am an idiot. I was very hungry. I had an empty purse and then decided to shut the door and lock it by lazily turning the lock manually from the inside. Jim, the owner, is always polite, always helpful, always resourceful, always generous. He has helped me many times in many ways - from house keys to car gas lock keys to cracking safe codes...). One "assist" included a stop at my house to figure out the code to a very large and heavy safe. Jim was great! We had him out this morning to change the locks on a house we just bought. He showed up 15 minutes early and was done in less than 30 minutes. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing and made the whole process look easy. He went over the top in a number of small ways, from flipping my lock to the proper upright position (so dust and dirt don't settle in the grooves) to spraying WD-40 in the deadbolt to make it slide easier to making me extra keys at no additional charge. He even explained the quirky lock on my door so that I don't inadvertently lock myself out. I wish every home service company was this wonderful to work with. We tried to book the another locksmith at first, who on multiple occasions told us they'd call us back (over the course of a month) and never did, not even to follow up.
