I lost the key to my fireproof document safe. My kid insisted we find a locksmith, and so I called today. The owner was there and told us to bring it into the shop. We went down, and not only did he get the box open, he made us two new keys. In less than 10 minutes. And he was super nice to us! So I still have a working safe (I had been planning to crowbar it open), I can get to my documents, and I have two new keys! All for less than $20. I'm so delighted. My point is, if you have a lock problem, call Advantage! read more

Needed locks changed on a building I just bought. Jim was fast, friendly and fair in pricing.

My husband went there to get locks rekeyed. Jim came in to get some supplies from the shop. Jim stopped what he was about to do and helped my husband. Then he left, so obviously he put everything on hold to help out. Great customer service, professional, yet friendly. Handled the situation while my husband waited. Will do business with him again. Good prices. read more

He is honest, reliable and on time! Important things when dealing with business. I would recommend

I needed a doorknob and deadbolt re-keyed. I walked in and got it done on the spot. The guy working was really nice and personable. I recommend this place. read more

They cut and programmed a car key for me. Their price for doing it was very reasonable ( $30 less than competition ) although I would expand the hours they can do it from just 8-2:30, making it until 5. Overall, excellent place to go for your locksmith needs. read more

I locked myself out of the house. I called this company first because I've had a great experience with them before in making copies of difficult keys. While I was waiting for a return call I checked out Angi. The cost for their service was $184. I received a call back from Jim, the owner of Advantage Lock & Key. He said he could be there in 20 minutes! He was amazing! Opened the door quickly, charged a fair $65 and also made an extra key for free! Love this outstanding service! I am a customer for life! read more

Excellent service very fast. Made my old bmw key again in minutes! Thank you for the great service!

One word, FANTASTIC! Jim is very kind, respectful, and knows what he's doing. We had a stuck lock that he took care of in no time and then made us a new set of keys. Very reasonable rates. Highly recommended. read more

Best customer service around! Had our front door keys made in about 10 minutes after the lock had to be deleted. After Jim explained what to bring in, it rang up at $13 including tax. What a relief, and they even offered me a cup of coffee while I waited read more

First time I ever had to call someone out to unlock a vehicle. Somehow I locked my keys in my 1995 Chevy Silverado pickup. Didn't have a spare. Thankfully it was parked at my residence. Jim showed up about 25 minutes after I called. Very professional service. After just a few minutes he had it open and his price seemed extremely reasonable. I will be using this business for all my lock and key needs (especially for some spare keys)! read more

Had my house rekeyed. I wanted all the doors to have the same key however I was left with three different keys. I started with four so some improvement! Not worth the money. We ended up just going into Ace and they rekeyed all the locks for 20 dollars. So way cheaper. Stay away from this business and save money and time go to Ace Hardware instead! read more

Jim was great and did a fantastic job rekeying all of my doors! He's friendly and a very nice guy. If you need a locksmith for any reason I would highly recommend Advantage Lock & Key! Great service! read more

I needed a screw for the dead bolt after the head was stripped. I called around to other locksmiths and all they wanted to do was sell me a new lock. I talked to hardware stores and they didn't have screws for deadbolts and wanted to sell me a new lock. I talked to Advantage and they said they have extra screws and to come in. They had the screw I needed and saved me the hassle of a new lock. The icing on the cake was when I asked what I owe, I was wished a good day. I would come back in an instant. read more

Probably the nicest and most helpful locksmith in town! He knew exactly how to help me re-key something, and the price was very reasonable. I recommend this business to anyone. read more

After a 14-hour day of flying and traveling we arrived back home and were anxious to crash into bed. But our key broke in half in the lock as we were trying to get into our home! Unreal! My husband struggled with it for a while until I Googled emergency locksmiths and found Advantage Lock & Key. It was almost 11PM on a rainy Sunday night and Jim came to our rescue! He arrived quickly after I called, was professional, friendly, and had us in our house in no time. He also made us 2 new keys and got everything working again. We were so thankful for him after such a long day! Would highly recommend and will definitely use them again for any locksmith needs. read more

So nice to get excellent customer service. Needed house locks changed asap after theft. He fit me in the same day, called to let me know he was on the way, showed up, went right to work. He charged me exactly what he told me on the phone (unlike other services that up the charge once they arrive). Jim was polite and quick. Even my dog quit barking at him, so good vibes. read more

I stand behind this business. I've gone here 3 times over the years and had him make me 2 sets of car keys and new keys for my Yakima roofbox. The guy (don't know his name, sorry!) he works super fast and is really nice! The prices are very fair! I will always return to this location whenever I need something done! read more

I am an idiot. I was very hungry. I had an empty purse and then decided to shut the door and lock it by lazily turning the lock manually from the inside. Then began the sheer terror of realizing I locked myself out, it was saturday and my landlords would not be back in until Monday. I called advantage lock and key and they had Dylan reach out to me. He was amazing! Gave me an estimate of time it would take him to get to my house... and he arrived in half the time.... Super friendly and warm, hopped up the stairs and opened up my door. SATURDAY SAVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have no idea. I would have had to sleep on my front porch until the landlords came back on Monday. LIFE SAVER, LIFE SAVER, LIFE SAVER. Price is very reasonable. Dylan couldn't have been faster, sweeter and more helpful. Upward and onward! read more

I needed to get a key cut for my Can-Am motorcycle. Tried Lowe's and Home Depot without success. Advantage did in in less than a minute and did't charge me one red cent! Now that's customer service. The next time I need anything like locks or keys, Advantage will be it! read more

Bought a new house with five keyed doors, each with a different key! One lock was distinctly different than the other four, so went from five keys to two. Jim was on time and quick at his work, and was also quite educational. I know a lot more about locks than I did before. Since one lock was very easy to rekey, he only charged me for four. I would use this company again. read more

Took an old steamer trunk that had been locked for years. He had it open in minutes and didn't want to take any money from us for doing it either! Thanks! read more

Had a problem with the lock on my suitcase of all things. Jim solved it in less than five minutes. Thanks! Will come back with a "real" problem! read more

I called Advantage Lock & Key earlier today after getting locked out of my house. In the past locksmiths have either taken forever or charged me an arm and a leg. Not Jim! He fit me in between jobs and had my house unlocked literally ten minutes after I called him. Jim was friendly and professional and the whole process was super easy. It was affordable too, no surprise charges. Highly recommended. read more

I originally placed this review on an Olympia company. It was meant for the Tigard Advantage company. Thanks and I'm sorry.

Advantage Lock & Key is the "go to" locksmith for the Olympia/Lacey area. Jim, the owner, is very friendly and professional! He worked on re-keying the locks on my new home and then came back to re-open a locked storage unit that I had misplaced the key too. Great service and no added charges! read more

Jim, the owner, is always polite, always helpful, always resourceful, always generous. He has helped me many times in many ways - from house keys to car gas lock keys to cracking safe codes...). One "assist" included a stop at my house to figure out the code to a very large and heavy safe. He did it so quickly and so easily that he only charged a bare minimum for the house call and nothing for the actual service. The one time he could not help me (with a post office box key), he kindly sent me to a peer company in town where I had to buy a whole new lock to get a new key. I will always to go Advantage Lock & Key first. Jim represents the best in small business owners and he is one reason I always try to "buy local". read more

Jim was great! We had him out this morning to change the locks on a house we just bought. He showed up 15 minutes early and was done in less than 30 minutes. He clearly knew exactly what he was doing and made the whole process look easy. He went over the top in a number of small ways, from flipping my lock to the proper upright position (so dust and dirt don't settle in the grooves) to spraying WD-40 in the deadbolt to make it slide easier to making me extra keys at no additional charge. He even explained the quirky lock on my door so that I don't inadvertently lock myself out. I wish every home service company was this wonderful to work with. We will definitely call Jim again! read more

Wow, what can I say? We had fabulous service from this company. They were very responsive and professional. We tried to book the another locksmith at first, who on multiple occasions told us they'd call us back (over the course of a month) and never did, not even to follow up. Advantage responded immediately, booked us a time to come out and even arrived ten minutes early. The man who came to our home fixed us up in about 15 minutes. He was kind, courteous and knowledgeable, and I am kicking myself for not calling them sooner. I am grateful and I will be recommending them to anyone who asks for a locksmith! read more

I called to have 4 smartl locks and new door hardware installed. The guy showed up on time, was super professional, and went above & beyond. I couldn't be happier with the service. read more

Best key maker in town. Brought both sets of keys for our rental homes, super fast and perfect keys. Support local small business!

The map said he services the area including DuPont, but when I called he said it was out of his service area. I was looking forward to receiving the same great service everyone was talking about. But to his credit, he recommended the Lock Doctor thinking they might travel up here. read more

Jim was so nice to us you can tell he is really genuine and kind. Definitely will be our go to locksmith.

Great prices, locally owned, perfect work. Will use over and over again if I ever need help again.
