We had our cabinet work done from Jesse 2 years ago and since I am writing this review after all this while, I can speak for the durability of his work. We had oak cabinets in our kitchen, which were functional and in very good shape. I was only unhappy with their visual appearance and after considering many other options, decided to repaint rather than remodel the cabinets. We found Jesse on Yelp and contacted him. He responded quickly and got us scheduled right away. While Jesse's quote wasn't the lowest price, it still was on the lower end of the quotes we received and we were impressed with his responsiveness, so we chose to go with him. I put my HGTV addiction to use by deciding on a dual-tone white/grey color scheme with the upper cabinets painted in white and lower cabinets painted in a grey color that pulled from the marble countertops. Jesse and his crew (of one other person), were in on time each day. They were friendly and understanding of our needs, and did a good job with the painting. The job took as much time and money as Jesse had estimated. He even left the paint samples behind for us to 'touch up' in future if required - it hasn't come to that yet. My only complaint is that the reassembly of some child safety locks on the cabinets wasn't done well; but I didn't check it promptly and hadn't brought that to Jesse's notice, so I'll cut him slack for that one. Overall, I think Custom Cabinet Painting did a smooth, good job. Our 'after' kitchen felt way more contemporary+upscale than before and it has stayed that way for 2 years. Highly recommend Jesse's work! read more

Hired Jesse to repaint a single cabinet in our kitchen that got damage by our builder during a renovation. Jesse did a wonderful job and the repainted cabinet is indistinguishable from the rest. After that I had Jesse repaint the entire exterior of our house. He gave us a good price and was done in 6 days. The house looks amazing! read more

We had Jesse paint oak cabinets in our laundry and dining room. The cabinets in our dining room have glass upper doors so he had to paint the inside of the cabinets and shelves too. We are very happy with how they turned out and would highly recommend him. read more

We recently had our maple cabinets painted by Jesse. He did a wonderful job - the cabinets look fantastic. Specifically: - Quickly responded to my request for quote and any follow up questions - Prices were a good value (not too high, but definitely worth the price to have a really well done job) - Availability was reasonable as well - Nicely laid out steps and what to expect in advance - Thorough job - didn't cut corners - Took the doors to his shop - instead of having to do them at my house - Allowed me to continue to have access to refrigerator during the process - which meant he had to pull it out each day and recover (thank you!) - Super quick - Great follow-up; addressed any issues in an extremely timely manner - Cabinets is his focus - so he really knows what he is doing We are very happy with our new cabinet color and would recommend Jesse. read more

When we decided to paint our kitchen cabinets instead of refacing or replacing, we relied on the Yelp reviews in our decision to use Custom Cabinet Painting, so wanted to add to the excellent reviews already received and upload a few "before and after" shots of our project. From the first contact, Jesse was reliable and responsive (we contacted him through Yelp). We were exploring this project during the pandemic and Jesse provided an estimate by email exchanges of photos of our kitchen. We chose to immediately schedule as soon as the next availability came up. We are so glad that we made the choice to use Custom Cabinet Painting! We believe that Jesse and Miguel are true artists of this niche of the painting world. Since we live in a condo, we were relieved to know that the cabinet doors and drawers would be painted off site at a studio. The fact that this is the specialty of focus of Custom Cabinet Painting has created a truly amazing and swift process. In our case the on-site project took four days. The first day, the cabinet doors and drawers were removed and taken to the studio and the kitchen was meticulously masked for painting the frames. The second day the prep work was completed and one wall (an addition to our kitchen cabinet painting project) was painted and the primer coat was sprayed on the frames. The third day the first coat of paint was sprayed; the fourth day the second coat of paint was sprayed on the cabinets and second coat of paint applied to the wall. The doors were reinstalled the following week. Jesse and Miguel were timely, reliable in every way. They were swift and attentive in their tasks and worked efficiently, a well-oiled machine. The work was exacting and they performed it neatly. In addition, Jesse and Miguel were considerate, courteous and kind. It was a pleasure having them in the house. I was teleworking at home because of the pandemic. My husband and I were truly amazed that this major project did not disrupt our general lives, other than not being able to use the kitchen (although we could use the refrigerator). Our kitchen is connected to the dining room and living room, and the ways that these areas were protected from any effects of the spray were ingenious and effective. At each step of the process, we marveled at the skill and craftsmanship. When the doors and drawers were reinstalled, we marveled that our old, sticky and icky (from 40 years of use) cabinet doors and drawers were sanded perfectly and painted perfectly. Our cabinets truly look as though they are new, as you may see from the photos. Several weeks after the painting was completed, we also had new laminate countertops installed. The cost of our entire kitchen transformation was a pittance compared to what it would have costed for us to reface or resurface our kitchen cabinets. We are truly thrilled with the outcome and recommend Custom Cabinet Painting with the highest marks in every single way. You may be confident in your choice! read more

Jesse recently fixed up our kitchen cabinets. They were 20+ years old. Jesse provided options for paint color, and made them look like new. He also did some extra work - replacing the hinges, knobs, etc. and also helped fix the alignment. The cabinets look like brand new, and the quality of work is top notch. It was very smooth experience working with Jesse and I would recommend him. read more

We recently had our dark espresso cabinets painted by Jesse and couldn't be happier. We had wanted to do this for years but had heard so many stories from others about how badly things turned out and we didn't want to make a mistake. After a LOT of research, we ended up choosing Jesse because of his expertise and speciality with cabinet painting - which is very different from other painting jobs. We're SO happy we moved forward with him because his results are outstanding! He was clear with about what to expect and extremely patient with my many questions throughout the project. He even reattached one of our cabinets for us after we discovered it had broken from the back (it was never installed correctly - and Jesse made it right for us!). His attention to detail and pride in his work were quite evident. We're thrilled with the result and would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone!! read more

I've hired Custom Cabinet Painting for two jobs now, and we are so happy with the way everything turned out. Our kitchen cabinets look fantastic, and no one believes that they used to have a glossy wood finish. It was definitely money well spent. From start to finish Jesse was extremely professional. He and his crew were on time and kept me in constant loop of the progress and what to expect. I would absolutely hire them again. read more

Jesse Mason painted all of the cabinetry in our kitchen. We couldn't be more pleased, and recommend him without hesitation. His attention to detail, excellence in workmanship, care, and professionalism are exemplary. All doors and drawers were removed by Jesse and painted in his shop, leaving only the cabinet frames to be painted in our kitchen. His process was smooth, clean and cost-effective. We made the right financial and aesthetic decision to contract with Jesse rather than invest in new cabinetry. Recognizing the challenge of Covid19, Jesse was totally respectful relative to facial masking and social distance. read more

Jesse and his team did an amazing job painting our home when we remodeled. They painted our brand new custom wooden cabinets, doors, walls, ceilings, and trim. The finish work is impressive! His team was fast, high quality, very well priced and did simply beautiful work. I recently had them back to touch up and feel like I have brand new cabinets again. I highly recommend you call Jesse for all your painting needs! read more

We are so happy that we got our cabinets painted by Jesse. We wanted to update the look of our kitchen and bathroom cabinets by getting them painted white and getting the wood grain smoothed out. Jesse was able to get exactly the look we wanted for an extremely reasonable price. He easily handled a few problems that cropped up with our particular cabinets (non-standard bumpers, us not having any of the wall paint for touch ups). He seems to have a high standard for his work and redid a few of the cabinet doors after they weren't quite to his liking once up in the kitchen. He also checked in with us a week later to make sure that everything was as we wanted it. We love the bright new look of our cabinets and feel like this minor "renovation" will save us from needing to redo the kitchen for years to come. read more

Jesse did a great job for a reasonable price. Our custom cabinets are absolutely beautiful. The paint surface is extremely even. Jesse was very responsive via email. He was totally on top of getting touch-ups done and he went the extra mile to shim and straighten our doors on the pin hinges. He is accommodating and working with him was no-fuss. I would definitely recommend this company to others! read more
