    Mango Lassi
    Dinesh A.

Walked into an empty restaurant that was tastefully decorated. Looked like it was ready to host some event. Only one waiter was available. Was seated by him in a nearby table. Seems this waiter is brand new and barely knew the menu. He also had difficulty speaking English. Had a difficult time reviewing the menu. There medium heat was indian level, meaning it may be too much for most Americans. Ordered a Chicken curry, hot & sour soup, and mango lassi. Chicken curry was average but went well with rice. Hot & sour soup was simple and average. Mango lassi was a disappointment. Tasted sour. Not sure how they messed up. Got a replacement but not much of an improvement. They also charge a service fee that they don't mention! Overall, the worst restaurant I've been to.

As soon as you walk in they have hand sanitizing station in vestibule between restaurant & Indian grocery store. Was greeted by a lovely lady Leeta, who was warm & very friendly. They have both contactless & hand held menus. It's a BYOB, although I stopped on a whim for lunch, so no need for that. As you sit you are given an individual sanitizer wipe and bottle of water that was placed by each setting. They have a vast menu ranging from Vegetarian and meat options. Lots of appetizers to chose from along with a "quick bite" section. Today I chose Chicken Tikka Masala with plain Naan Bread, I asked for it spicy which it was and absolutely delicious, fork tender chicken & sauce was so fragrant and good. Will definitely be back with the family. A great addition to Flemington's food experience!

Hidden Gem Indeed This is my first of hopefully many chances to dine at the Curry Zone. I had no idea that this gem existed. Great service, clean and nice ambiance. Vegetable Samosa as a starter with Chana Masala + Garlic Naan to follow. Generous portions that I have lunch for the next morning unless I eat it for breakfast ;) I really encourage people to support this outstanding local quaint restaurant

I think I have never seen this kind of beautiful restaurant in hunterdon county..I will definatly advise if you looking for a good time a romantic dinner then must go there and get your wine with you.. They provide best service glasses, candle light candy and fresh flowers to make your day!! I loved.!!

Let me make one thing clear, I have been a member of the Yelp community for several years and have never left a one-star review before for a restaurant. I can forgive bad food, bad or slow service, and many other things. But this restaurant provided the single worst experience my family has ever had eating out. The reason for this is twofold: 1. We were made to wait over an hour and a half for our main course to arrive while other customers who arrived after us were served. During this period we received little to no service and no one told us that our food would be delayed; 2. We were charged over 30% more than the prices presented in the menu provided to us. We have documentation for both claims (see attached photos) and describe them in detail below: 2:52 PM: We arrived at Curry Zone. We were initially greeted with a smile and the server sat us at our table. From what we could see, there were two other tables with seated customers. 2:57 PM: Our server took our order for the following items on the menu (menu prices in parentheses). At no time are we told by the waitress that the menu prices are inaccurate. - Mango lassi x 2 ($3.95) - Chicken Tikka Masala ($12.95) - Chicken Tandoori ($12.95) - Garlic Naan x 2 ($2.50) - Balti Gosht ($14.95) 3:28 PM: Chicken Tandoori arrives. This is the last time the waitress visits our table. Before this time, another set of customers arrived in the table behind us. They received regular service throughout the following period. 4:10 PM: We had long since finished the Chicken Tandoori and were growing impatient. The waitress had not visited our table since 3:28 and our child was getting antsy. The customers behind us were already served and eating their dinner. 4:25 PM: We decide to leave, because it is already getting late and we have to return home. 4:28 PM: A waiter arrives with our food, and we tell him that we wish to take out our dinner. 4:30 PM: We pay and leave. Shortly after, my wife notices that we paid the following prices for our dishes (See photos 1 and 3): - Mango lassi $11.90 (2 drinks) - Chicken Tikka Masala $15.95 - Chickent Tandori $18.95 - Garlic Naan $7 (2 items) - Balti Gosht $16.95 So, while we expected to pay 53.75 for our meal, we actually paid 70.75 (before taxes and tip). That's nearly 32% more than we expected! 4:40 PM: We returned to the restaurant to ask why we were over-charged for our meal. At long last, we were shown the small notice on the blank front page of the menu (photo 2). The notice says that prices on the menu may be higher due to higher labor costs and food costs during the pandemic. While we are sympathetic to restaurants in this time, we were deeply disturbed by the fact that not only was this notice not pointed out to us by the waitstaff, we were also charged a far greater price than what was presented on the menu and well beyond what we would consider to be reasonable. The inaccurate menu presented to us at the restaurant is as of now still the menu presented on Yelp with no indication that prices are not what they appear. We believe that customers deserve to know ahead of time what they will pay for their food. If menu prices are inaccurate, then customers should be informed by a member of the waitstaff when they order their food, not after they've paid their bill. To do otherwise is a betrayal of the trust of consumers like us. We demand that the owner of this restaurant update the prices of the in-person online menu according to the actual prices visitors can expect to pay so that no one else will suffer this same experience.

Just Wow !! Incredible fine dining Indian Restaurant, best in NJ !! Authentic taste, great ambience and amazing service. Visited few times. For non-veg, must try Chicken Tikka, Malai Kabab, Chicken chili, Lamb Chop or their Platter which has an assortment of Kabobs !! For curry, their Chicken butter masala, chicken kadai were superb. Great veg selection as well. Especially liked Tandoori Mushroom, Soya Malai tikka, Paneer tikka, Palak (Spinach) paneer, Dal Makhani. Their breads - Naan, Garlic Naan, Lachha Paratha are heavenly good !! Highly recommend this amazing little gem of a place.

What a great dinner! Paner pasanda - one of the signature dishes. And great service too.

We have eaten at Curry zone at least 10 times. And I must say our experience with this restaurant has been very mixed. At times their food can be delightful and wonderful. But they demonstrate tremendous insensitivity to people who have food allergies. My wife has made multiple request for them to make the dish mild and they seem to ignore that request at least 50% of the times which is very frustrating. So beware.

Awesome food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. I had one of the chef's specials - lamb shank with rice, mixed vegetables and garlic naan done to medium heat. It was fantastic and the portion was large enough to make two meals out of it but SO GOOD, I ate the entire serving! Can't wait to come back to try another item from their large and varied menu!

two bowls of curry and rice

Beautiful establishment, the service is amazing, the staff greeted us right when we walked in. Hospitality was great! Gave complimentary sweets & drink. Food was amazing as well! Definitely recommend to come here, unlike any other Indian restaurant I've been to, great experience. Love the decor, fresh flowers & candle lit at table

My bank statement was about $10 more than these 2 items on the menu with the tax!

This is a tight, intimate location with seating for maybe 20 people tops, and that seems generous, but they do pretty fast takeout so I'll usually get it to go. Usually I've got my food within 20 minutes of ordering, but if it's busy you're better calling it in. The food is delicious, and whoa is it spicy, so do not be shy about asking them for the American spicy not Indian spicy or you're going to suffer, but it isn't spicy without flavor to back it up. By that I mean while you'll be crying actual tears from the spice, you'll also taste an incredible palette of flavors and non-atomic spices that are masterfully blended into all the usual classic dishes, and some unique ideas as well. Good mango lassi on the menu, and it is CLEARLY there to mitigate some of this spice, so be sure you get yourself one. The Saag Paneer is a perfect 10 in my book. The tandoori is to die for, the naan is great, it's all great, give this place a chance!

I got the Lamb Tikka Masala with a plain Naan. It took a little while to come out, but it was so very worth it. I've always had Chicken Tikka Masala, never lamb, and I'm so glad I tried it. Absolutely delish! Sorry I forgot to take the food-porn pics for you when it arrived. I was hungry and distracted by how awesome it smelled. I guess you'll just have to see a photo from the aftermath! This appears to be a mom 'n pop shop, and it may have been the wife who let me in, took my order, served the food, etc. I didn't see any other servers here, and the whole time I'm here (7pm on a Tuesday night), there was only one other table dining here. There were a couple of take-out and delivery orders. I would love to see them bring in some Iced Tea. The decor is a little kitschy, but it's an Indian restaurant, so it works pretty well. It's nothing fancy, and I want even given a knife to cut up the lamb, though she brought a bottled water to the table which appeared to mean that it's complimentary. I would like to suggest to ownership that the bathroom door be cleaned up. It wasn't bad enough to wipe a star off of the review, but it could definitely turn some diners off, and badly. This place is worth a try!

Ordered takeout since their outdoor seating wasn't up yet and we couldn't dine in with the pup. The place is rather small and more like a quick grab-and-go place than a dine-in restaurant. The menu is pretty basic (platters, pitas, burger, salads) with an extensive selection of middle eastern sweets and some cakes as well. I had the "everything" chicken over rice (platter) and it didn't disappoint. The chicken was flavorful and pretty good. My husband leaned into his usual splurge with a double patty burger and fries. He said the burger was very good (and rather large too) while the fries seemed to be frozen fries rather than fresh. We also had some of the walnut baklava, which was just okay. Didn't hit the mark or seemed super fresh. There seems to be only street parking. There are two machines where you can place your order and pay seamlessly with card / Apple Pay. The food didn't take too long to come out either. Solid spot and would return, but the halal in the TRUE NYC just CANNOT be beat, even when included in the name of the business...

I got five platters, some pita, a side of hummus, a bottle of Coca-Cola, and some baklava. The total came to right around $80. I got three chicken and two combination lamb and chicken platters. The chicken is moist and tender and always delicious. The lamb well not my favorite, is also tender and flavorful. We always get it with onions and peppers, black beans, the cucumber, onion, tomato, medley, chickpeas, hummus, and white sauce. The vegetables are always fresh, and the combination of the flavors is on point. Sometimes I find their little light handed, but they're always willing to add a little more to get you where you wanna be. I've never had an issue with the staff, they are always happy and accommodating. The seating area is always clean and there are several tables so space is never really an issue. If I had to find something to complain about, it would be that some of the dishes require cooking in the back, and those can take a long while if you order them. Items such as the burgers, and chicken nuggets, are definitely pre-frozen and almost assuredly meant for children. Stick with what they do and you'll be absolutely happy.
