We were just visiting Boulder - wish we could take this restaurant home with us! For starters, you can order everything on the menu dairy-free and/or gluten free plus they have great vegan options. All three of our dishes were excellent but this is how we ranked them : 1) Chicken Makhni 2) Mushroom Mutter 3) Chicken Jalfrezi. Good prices, generous portions. Decor is a little fast-foody, but nice and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. We developed high standards for Indian food when we lived in London and Curry n Kebob hits the mark for us! read more

I am updating and adding 3 more stars to my review just because of the amazing customer service the Owner has shown. I contacted him after 11 months and despite such an old incident he went out of the way just to provide me a refund because his food was not upto the mark that day. I will definitely give this restaurant another chance if I visited the city again. Thanks Again.! 11 months ago-We went to this place as it had high rating. We ordered chicken masala and rotis with some tea. The tea was okay, but for my wife it had too much cinnamon. The rotis were not properly cooked and the chicken looked and tasted okay. We did a take out and were staying in Estes park so we could not return the food. After couple of hours, we both felt a bit sick and my wife had to vomit to get the chicken out of her system. I would not recommend anyone to go to this place unless you have a good health insurance. read more

Ate for the first time at Curry n Kebob in Boulder. I had the Special, chicken Masala (medium). My son had the Saag Paneer (hot), Garlic Naan, and iced Chai. The special is the best value; Naan, fried onion baji, chutney, and tapioca were included with my Chicken Masala. The spice can be chosen from mild to very hot. I had mild and my son had hot. These levels were excellent. Everything was delicious. The portions were too much for us to eat and we brought home our leftovers for another meal. The service was friendly and very prompt. Since this was our first visit, the staff graciously explained all the specials and the menu. Curry n Kebob is a keeper for us on our restaurant list. read more

I went here again, after the owner contacted me over yelp after my first visit (which I gave it a 3 star review). He blamed his employee for not offering the spice level to me... They did, I got the "hottest" spice level and I don't think it was very spicy. The second time I went back I thought it was actually worse, the food wasn't spicy enough, the rice wasn't cooked correctly and that was extremely bland as well. Also on top of those things the soda machine sprayed on my shirt because the cap to the pourer wasn't screwed on correctly.. So not only did I walk out of the place with an apatite, but with also a stain of root beer on my dress shirt... Needless to say there are things to be worked on here and a lot of completions around the area to go to instead, I'll be trying other places around Boulder before going back to Curry & Kabob. read more

One of my favorite curry places hands down. Service is fast and friendly, and everything is always fresh. I only took off 1 point because cleanliness and hygiene are big factors for me. There is usually stuff on the floors and tables that aren't completely wiped off, and sometimes even when it's not too busy the tables are not cleaned at all for the next customer. There's jam on the tables, forks leftover, crumbs and curry leftover. Double check your cups and silverware also! 5/10 times there's something on them. Their lunch specials are a great value, and I do eat a LOT but I have never been able to finish a lunch special. Which is better so you can take some home with you! read more

This became my favorite Indian restaurant in Colorado. I like ordering their daal tarka with gobi aloo. It's such a nice simple meal that it reminds of my mom's cooking. But when I'm feeling more ambitious, I like to get their chicken tikka masala thaali. The environment is not very fancy, it's super casual in fact so it's a great place to stop by real quick for your Indian food fix without having to pay $$-$$$. Try more than just the chicken tikka masala. Lamb kebob was great as well. And remember, if you ask for SPICY, they won't hold back :) read more

The delivery girl didn't even have $3 to give me as change and insinuated that I should just leave extra tip. Went on a whim and left unimpressed. I ordered the Chicken Masala and the Tandoori Chicken since those are two of my favorite dishes and was told the most popular as well here. I requested for both to be "hot" on the spice scale, but both were very bland :( The portion of the Tandoori Chicken was tiny as well, and I've never seen it presented the way it was served here... you can visibly see the lack of masala, and you can taste it as well. Looking around the restaurant at the other tables I could see that the "Indian Cuisine" was meant to be mild and watered down, which is disappointing. Shockingly bad service. I placed an order for delivery, then tried calling after it was half an hour late and was not able to get through. When I finally got through first I was hung up on, then after trying 5 times again the person I talked to was incredibly rude and told me that there was nothing they could do about my order being so late. We have been loyal customers of Curry N Kebob for 6 months. After my husband and I had severe food poisoning after eating at the restaurant, we decided to call the owner the next day to inform him. We had ordered the goat vindaloo, chicken vindaloo, and chicken saag. I spoke with the owner (Zuned) and explained about the food poisoning. He did not seem to care or offer an apology, instead went off about "why are you doing this to me", ""I don't have time for this", " Are you Indian?" He said we serve over 400 people a day. He then accused us of being scammers over $40.00. He started calling me names over the phone and accused me of trying to rip him off. Mind you we have spent hundreds of dollars there in the last 6 months. I personally will never dine at Curry N Kebob again over principal. The restaurant is NOT clean. The owner Zuned is very unprofessional, and rude and his customer service skills are unacceptable! read more

I never write reviews.... but the chicken tikka masala is extremely runny, and the biryani is not very authentic either. Though it is not terrible, it is a disappointment from my usual spot. The food was amazing!!! The best Indian food I've had in a long time. I can't believe how cheap their lunch specials was!!! You pay more than this for fast food. I had the Chicken Makhni. When I asked what it was they explained it was a Thai version of Chicken tikamasala and to me it tasted very similar. You must try it. You order at the counter and then sit down which you would think would distract from the service but someone still came to check on us two or three times to make sure we had what we needed and were enjoying our food. This place is also perfect for a short lunch break as we seriously ordered, ate and paid in under an hour despite the fact that the place was packed. YOU MUST CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!! read more

I currently live in the Indian food Mecca of Silicon Valley. From my apartment there is an Indian restaurant every 50 ft along El Camino Real for a few miles. The Chaat place I go to plays Bollywood movies and I am the only non-Indian person I ever see in there. So I know a thing or two about vegetarian Indian food. For our order we had Vegetarian Samosa appetizer, Muttar Paneer, Saag Paneer and Garlic Naan. The Naan was very good, however all the other dishes were very bland. Typically Indian food has a ton of awesome complex spices, but I couldn't taste any in these dishes. Without this spice, the Samosa tasted like a fried breakfast burrito with potato in it. Also both the entrees and the tamarind sauce for the Samosa were very tomato-y. Additionally, the peas in the Muttar Paneer were way too sweet and the Saag Paneer too bitter. I'm not sure if this is because this place has a different regional style of cooking, but I can't imagine authentic Indian without more spice diversity. I've also found Indian places typically either do meat dishes well or vegetarian dishes well, but rarely both so maybe the meat dishes are better. In summary, the dishes are too tomato based and the food is much too bland, lacking spice diversity. The staff was the typical nice, the place clean and the portions very large, but the quality disappointing. read more

For years I've been going here because they had delicious food and generous portion sizes. They went through a small price increase once but it still seemed reasonable given the amount of food provided. Unfortunately, I have to update my review from 5 stars down to 2 stars after our most recent trip. The flavors in both dishes that were ordered changed noticeably and not for the better. I asked friends if they noticed a change or if we caught a bad night and they, too, have noticed a change within the last few months. While the naan recipe has improved over the years, these new curry recipes just don't taste as good. I'm not sure the reason for change but hope they change the recipes back to the old ones soon or we'll stop coming. read more

Oh my goodness... I would live here if I could. I've actually never really had Indian food before because of a bad experience with homemade curry as a kid - this place totally blew my doors off! I appreciate that ordering at a counter doesn't take away from the experience at all! It makes things streamlined and it takes the "service" aspect out of your dining experience. You can't really complain that you didn't get a refill because you were too lazy to get up and do it yourself! We had a group of 6 and the food came quickly and perfectly as we ordered it. Anyway, the food - I had *medium spice* chicken white meat Saag with Nan and a Mango smoothie (they call it something else and I can't remember the name! Tassil??) Everything was perfect and a larger portion than I expected. I tried a few other dishes and I would for sure get the Saag (a creamy spinach dish with rice) again! We also had their version of onion rings in chickpea flour and these could stand up or surpass all of my onion ring experiences in the past! I cannot wait to go back and I am SO glad we went out on a limb for something different! I would recommend it time and time again! This place rocked my socks off! read more

Five star rating for Boulder Indian food. We had lunch and both had the "daily special" with lots of sides and a main dish for $7.95. I got chicken vindaloo and my wife got chicken makhni. Her chicken was ordered medium spicy , and was right at the limit for her. My vindaloo was "medium plus" and I'm glad I didn't ask for hot! I love spicy food, but this was seriously spicy! Both mains and all the sides were excellent. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back. read more

Delicious, good size portions, and affordable!

So we found this place on Yelp to have lunch on our drive from Estes Park to the Denver airport. The reviews seemed good and thought we'd give it a try. The exterior didn't look too inviting given its strip-mall location but they sure wowed me as soon as I walked through the door. There must be an industry term for what Curry N Kebob is but I would equate it to Chipotle's "Food Served Fast ... So That Customers Can Enjoy It Slowly" characterization. Unlike Chipotle, however, that doesn't offer table service, we ordered at a counter but the food was delived to our table more like a Cosi. The people behind the counter and the staff were very attentive and the food, was simply oustanding. As a lifelong connoisseur of Indian food, I think I can differentiate between the good and the bad and would put this at the very top end compared to other Indian resturants, which was shocking conssidering how modest the prices were. If these guys ever decide to franchise this idea and take the company public, I'm a buyer! I hope they open one in the NYC area one day soon. read more

Really enjoyed the chicken kabob, amazing flavor on the sauces. The plate was just right. Spouse had the fish dish, mahi mahi, and while the seasoning was good, the fish was too "fishy." I got a heaping amount of aloo gobi, rice, naan, and fruit...all for less than it would cost for a sandwich at Panera. This place is amazing. I believe the owners are a middle aged Indian man and his wife. They were very friendly. The food is authentic and so incredibly yummy. Honestly the best Indian food I have ever had. I went for lunch and ordered the chicken makni (sp?) which came with rice, naan (incredible), a samosa and rice pudding. I had to force myself to not finish it all because I wanted to bring some home to my husband to try. He is English so he loves Indian food and he also cooks it at our home regularly. He agreed it was probably the best Indian food he has ever had. I sure hope this place does well - the food is to die for and I am pulling for the nice owners to succeed! read more

Woah. The best Indian food tends to be in the most unexpected places, but I still can't believe the surprise I was in for at Curry N Kebob. I went here with my mom and sister for a casual dinner, and was simply blown away by some of the best Indian food I've ever had. We were served a huge plate of food with fluffy naan, rich curry, flavorful rice, and even a sweet dessert. This place is the real deal, and I can't wait to go back. I went here today completely by accident, thinking it was still Island 8. I decided to try it anyway because I do love good indian food. I ordered the Chicken Tika Masala, Garlic Naan, and Vegetable Samosas, all were truly wonderful. The very lovely staff helped me order and made sure I was getting exactly the best dishes the made for my tastes. One of the ladies asked me how spicy I wanted my main dish, I said HOT, and she delivered. They did not dumb it down, it was truly wonderful! I will be returning, for this fabulous food.
