I love that you can customize your curry bowl down to the protein style, spice and even choose noodles vs rice and add on eggs or other sides. I was very sad when my local curry spot shut down around covid-era. When i heard about this place, I was very excited to check it out even though its about a 45 minute drive (without traffic) but it was worth it. Me and my cousin decided to check this place out when we were craving some curry! Located in a strip mall, parking is relatively easy to find and it's right next a very busy AYCE sushi spot. Our waiter told us to sit anywhere which we did find a table. The restaurant itself is pretty small so seating bigger parties could be a hassle. The menu is pretty small but I opted to get some fried squid legs along with a small size curry plate with pork belly. I added carrots and potatoes for an additional $3. Food came out pretty quick! The squid legs came out first and these were delicious! Fried to a crisp with some spicy mayo served on the side. The curry came out next and it was good! I think it needed a little more spice than how it comes which had no spice on it. There was a generous amount of curry but they do kind of skimp out on the meat. Overall though it was a delicious meal and paid around $25 altogether for it. If I could add more recommendations it's probably the portion sizes of the meat. Some more meat wouldn't hurt but it's still a good price for the amount of food you get. If youre in the area, definitely get your curry fix here! Decent curry! I think convenience and value is the highlight of Curry Do; every time I've been, I've never had to wait for a table, and service is quick and friendly! Their prices are a few dollars lower than most curry places in OC, and the portion of protein is quite generous, which is great! I've had the chicken katsu and tonkatsu curry plates. Personally, I think their curry sauce is a bit average compared to other spots; not as rich or as flavorful, a bit under-seasoned for my liking. The parking lot can also gets full since it's being shared with a few other businesses, but I was able to get the one spot left by the door. Went to Curry Do with a coworker and the day we went, there was only one server. That was totally fine but since it was our first time, we didn't know if we were supposed to use the QR code to order or what. She came by and took our order but everything took a while to come out. She was very nice but handling a weekday lunch crowd with one person is not ideal. I felt bad for her. The food was great and they have a good lunch special. This is my favorite Japanese curry place that I've tried so far. I really like that you can add vegetables (potatoes and carrots) to the curry so that it rounds out the meal, rather than just being a sauce to dip the meat in. Their chicken katsu and tonkatsu are both great. Their curry is a bit spicy, even when I ordered it "mild". Maybe I need to specify "No spice" if I truly want it not spicy. The only thing that's a bit weird is if you order in person, they don't really have a front counter for ordering. You just have to catch the eye of the waiter/waitress and order from her, even if you're getting takeout. For that reason I recommend ordering online or on their app rather than in person if you want takeout. They do have some seating for dine-in as well. read more

Connor and Jose were always approaching us with genuine happiness and asking us if we needed anything. If the manager is reading this, recognize your amazing employees and treat 'em well! The food was amazing! The curry had a slight tomato flavor that worked perfectly. I loved that it didn't taste like other curry restaurants that are more similar to boxed curry roux. I thought about getting the curry spicy but I'm glad I did not. The medium provided a hefty kick and coupled with the spicy katsu, I had sweat beading up on my dome. My kids each got a kids meal, one got the sausage and the other got chicken katsu. They came with rice, soup, and two gyozas. I do have a little gripe for the owners: please maintain the carbonation on your soda machine. Our sodas were flat. I do however, appreciate that they have fountain drinks at all. I had a large party of 10, and I was the first to arrive, and the staff and I were trying to see what table arrangement would work best for us. It turned out to be reserved for, who I believe, the manager of Curry Do and his family, and without hesitation, gave my family the table. This was the most disgusting curry I've tasted in a while. It's like if you tried making it at home and accidentally dropped a boatload of sugar and still decided to serve it. Curry Do is a great fast casual restaurant specializing in Japanese curry. Out of all the Japanese curry places we tried in OC, Curry Do has the most flavor. You can taste the time and love they put into their recipe. We used to go to the Buena Park location all the time until we moved. I was sad to hear they closed but we now frequent the Tustin location. Quality remains consistent. Their lunch special and loyalty program is great value. Arrived to Curry Do at about 1:15pm on a Sunday and was able to find parking pretty quickly and i was greeted with Friendly service! I ordered the curry with half chicken Katsu and half pork belly it was my first time trying curry formally at a restaurant and I really enjoyed it. The curry had a very rich flavor. The chicken Katsu was crispy and I liked the pork belly a lot! It did come with red pickled radish on the dish, which I actually wasn't a fan off but was easy enough to push to the side! I also brought home a side of potstickers, which were really good!! The restaurant is on the smaller side with choices of High tops, regular tables 4+ seats and several 2seaters - they have "bar" seating which faces a wooden "wall" of sorts as well (see pic) that may not be the best view/option but is good for additional seating due to size of the location! There is No indication of GF or DF options however the server was kind enough to obtain answers and offer recommendations- the curry uses butter but no additional dairy products and gathered the Udon is DF. (Did not clarify gluten free/sensitive options but meant to- I presume that obviously the chicken Katsu and curry is not gluten-free due to breading and thickening up the curry along with potstickers of course - from what i ordered) Overall, I had a nice experience and should I find myself around Tustin I would definitely go back!! read more

Takoyaki (6/10)- comes with three one of them was a bit undercooked but overall not bad, I've had better.
