I've been coming here on multiple occasions. The curry here is good. I've had a variety of their curry with combination of rice, beef, shrimp tempura, pork belly, potato and carrots. The food is delicious and needless I keep coming back. The service is quick, probably because the most of the food is prepped well, so there is minimal cooking and assembly. The restaurant is cozy, so if they get busy be prepared to wait. Or if you come with a group larger than 8 it might be difficult to fit everyone to one table. read more

Oh man, some of the best Japanese curry I've had! We ordered two pork bellies one with udon and the other with rice and both with a fried egg. My friend and I were left wanting more. The meat was juicy and flavorful, the curry itself was delicious with lots of spice and flavor. The curry has a slight kick, but I made it extra spicy with the chili powder they provide. We came in the middle of the week during lunch and it wasn't too busy. The place itself is lovely with modern decorum. They have a few tables that serve groups of four and I could see how larger groups could be bit of a problem to accommodate. This is honestly my favorite curry spot over curry house in Irvine !!! I remember the very first time I ordered to go from this place, everything was still very flavorful and not heavy compared to other places I finally decided to dine in because I was in the area and it definitely was not a disappointment!! The curry has a hint of sweetness to it, but not as sweet as Maji (maji is honestly trash...) and the pork belly... was crispy and the fat just melts in your mouth The other dish we got was the shrimp tempura curry udon! I really like the udon because it had a little smoky taste to it and I really enjoyed it!! If I lived closer I'd come here more often! I come here a lot with my best friend during lunch who works in the area. The food is really good and very filling. The portions are giant so definitely share. This CurryDo also serves alcohol so it can be a fun date night too. Super good chicken katsu curry. This restaurant is located in a busy popular little plaza with lots of options. The restaurant is really clean, with a nice interior and service is 10/10. I had the chicken katsu curry, my husband had the beef belly udon and we shared the matcha latte with honey cream and the takoyaki. Everything was so good and so beautifully presented. We both loved it, no complaints but I will say that nothing pops out to me. The flavors are what you'd expect in a chicken katsu curry, the pickled veggies, rice, etc. meet the standard expectations. So take that as you will. It's quite out of our way and about a 20 min drive, so I probably won't be returning unless I'm in the area already. This is a comfort curry spot for us. Their curry has a great taste and even a touch of sweet which we like. With their spicy powder it's even better. The katsu and other meats are solid, but not amazing as it's not a katsu place, but I think the curry makes up for it. It didn't taste like any Japanese curry or any curry flavor I've had for that matter. It does try to channel Japanese curry flavor and style but it just tasted odd to me. The beef belly was good though and the dressing for the salad was tasty, although the lettuce wasn't the freshest. I really wanted to like this new curry place but I don't think I will be back again. I didn't have much expectations but when I arrived to have dinner on a Thursday evening, I was surprised to see so many messy tables with very little patrons seated. They require you to sign up on their waitlist but later when you're noticed, they tell you 'oh you can sit anywhere'. Opted for the bar area to not hog a table. Server brought me water right away and took my order. Got the udon with pork belly and added cheese. This is where it gets weird. I'm sitting at the bar and notice 2-3 parties waiting around as well. These were to-go orders backed up and these people looked like they'd been waiting awhile. By the time I finished my underwhelming curry udon twenty minutes later, they were still waiting for their order. I decided it is probably not a good idea to order to-go from here. While the curry was a good amount, I thought the flavor was a bit strange. Almost like instant sweet curry flavor. The pork belly was seasoned nicely but a bit dry. Udon was edible but did not have any bite. Overcooked and I normally am ok with softer noodles. Just not memorable enough to make me come back for a second bowl. Pairs with the red pickles which I love with my curry. There are also some tempura flakes on the side that give it a nice crunch. SERVICE: generally pretty decent, but there's one waiter that I feel like is a bit slow or just doesn't really make sense. I remember that he had spilled some chili powder onto the table or say that he couldn't ask another table to borrow the chair (I feel like if I were a customer and had an extra chair I wasn't using, I'd gladly give it up to another table who needed it). PARKING: overall pretty good. I haven't had issues finding a parking spot at this location. PRICE: each dish is around $15 which I think is pretty standard for a curry plate. They have a new pork tonkatsu curry which was pretty good! I was most impressed about their packaging - they're very mindful of separating the curry from the rice from the meat so nothing got soggy. As far as to-go orders go, the breading and fry actually held up decently after 20 minutes. The store shares a decent sized parking lot (most of the lots in that area of Tustin are a really tight squeeze!) and the service was OK. I would like to have an option to add some sort of veggie to the curry. Tonight, I tried their matcha latte. For what it is, it's rather enjoyable. The honey cream you can add makes this a light, sweet, and creamy drink that elevates the curry experience in between bites. Ordering over the phone is easy but it would be even more convenient if there was an option to order ahead online.
