This is by far one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever tried! All their food is fresh and homemade. The garlic naan is really good and crispy, the butter chicken is super creamy and flavorful. Everything I've ordered is 10/10 the vegetable samosas are also very good here. The only complaint I have is that my husband ordered his butter chicken mild and it was a little spicy I ordered medium and the spice levels were the same to me. We ordered the lamb mild and it was actually mild. Not sure if that was a mistake on behalf of the kitchen or if their butter chicken is just that spicy. Either way I didn't mind much I love this place it's nice and spacious inside and fairly new. Dined here this evening with my husband after reading the reviews. The service was a little off. My entree was delayed due to "an excessive amount of Grubhub orders". I ordered saag aloo which is supposed to be spinach with potatoes. I was given spinach with mushrooms because the cook didn't read the notes on the order. Thankfully I like mushrooms and that was the best dish we had. It appears they do more take out than dine in. The other dishes we ordered were the lamb vindaloo and vegetable korma - which was made with frozen vegetables. (Sad face) On a good note the Kingfisher beer was cold and tasty. read more

The food is fine. But the up charge was nearly insulting. They charged an 18% service charge for a large party, we were three people. And then with a tip, it came out nearly 40% of the bill. Ridiculous. Then we asked for a Diet Coke and they had none so we pulled out our water and they asked us to put it away. I've recently discovered this restaurant, within the past 2 months, and I've been there almost 6 times. The food is awesome. It just tastes so fresh and good. There's no nasty vegetable oil aftertaste either that so many restaurants have. And the textures of the meats suggests the food is indeed fresh. Go there if you want to be HUMILIATED!! This was my second time here with my girlfriend. I knew the owner from before. Didn't like his people skills much, but used to like the food. At this restaurant, the first time I came, the food was average, decor is nice, but no feeling of hospitality. Every other Indian restaurant has this warm welcome vibe, while this restaurant gives you the feeling like you're burdening them when entering. Never saw a restaurant that makes the customers feel unwelcome before. That was weird. The first time, they didn't have a few items that were there in the menu. We decided to give it a second try and we wanted to checkout the buffet. We were met with the same unwelcome vibe we experienced the first time. Again, they didn't have a few items. My surprise was when the server told us they don't have any lemons (my girlfriend asked for water with lemon). What Indian restaurant runs their kitchen without lemons??? The food was average...again!!! Then at some point, I had a bad reaction while eating and I started coughing. My girlfriend shifted her chair around the table to come closer to me so she could comfort me. Only 1 minute had passed, and a lady (not sure of her designation in the restaurant) going into the kitchen, asked her to move her chair as it was blocking her path into and out of the kitchen. This was a reasonable ask and my girlfriend promptly shifted, but this time to the other side of the table. At which point, the owner "tells" her to move her chair back in it's place in a rude manner, saying "other customers are complaining" that were eating in silence (not that many customers there to begin with even), and this 2 or 3 times. At which point we left "in the middle of our meal". Most restaurants will try to accommodate this kind of thing if two people want to sit closer. I have never seen a restaurant staff that is this rude to their customers. It was fishy, weird, and downright HUMILIATING!!! In effect, there are many other Indian restaurants in the area that are lower priced, better quality of food, and far better quality of service...never returning here EVER!!! read more

My son and I have been dining at Curry Café on a weekly or more basis for over a year. Since this time, we have not gone to any other Indian Restaurant. We love everything about this place, from the beautiful ambiance to the taste of the authentic Indian food. The owner always makes a point of visiting our table each time to talk with and thank us for coming to his restaurant. The owner and his wife are the chefs, and everything is cooked to order so prepare to wait a little longer than you would at other restaurants. However, it is WELL worth the wait. I usually get Mango or Peach curry chicken, but the last few times I had Chicken Tikka, and it was OUTSTANDING. So fresh and juicy with just the right amount of spice and heat. My son usually eats Chicken Korma, but lately he has been eating Chicken Saag. Both meals are exceptional, and the portions are huge. The garlic naan is so fresh and so good that we order several pieces and freeze them. That is a little secret the owner told us about. I would have preferred to give a negative rating if such an option were available. This restaurant had set up a stall at the Broward County Stadium on 08/12/2023 & 08/13/2023. The event was the 2 international cricket matches between India and the West Indies. On 08/13/2023, at 11:54 AM, I bought a plate of "Vegetable Biryani". Upon starting to eat, I realized immediately that the food was spoiled. I went back & reported it to the vendor. Understanding he's running a business & giving him the benefit of doubt, I discreetly told the person in-charge about it, but I was met with a "But everyone else is eating it" remark. There was absolutely no apology or an offer to refund my purchase. I persisted, and was told "You can go ahead & report me; I don't care!" As an afterthought, the person in-charge asked his assistant to give me something else. I decided to play safe & opted to have plain white rice & channa masala. I was horrified when I started to eat, because the plain rice was also spoiled- I could see the formation of some sticky, gooey stuff, & the smell & taste clearly showed it to be spoiled. When I questioned him, he started complaining about how they did not have A/C facilities etc. That was an implicit admission that he knew the food had gone bad; but he continued selling it. There was no apology, no offer of a refund. Instead, I was met with rude comments for complaining about the food quality. NEVER ever patronize this restaurant. read more

My wife and I have been eating and cooking Indian food for almost 50 years, so we are very familiar with many traditional Indian dishes. So when we say our lunch yesterday at Curry Café was very satisfying, we have a lot to compare it to. We started with generous-sized samosas with tamarind and mint chutney. We found them a bit too hot (spicy) for our liking. Our main courses were saag paneer, dahl makhani, malai kofta, plain naan, mango chutney, and sweet lassis. The portions were large, the abundant rice was fluffy and perfectly cooked, and every dish was tasty and on point...except for the malai kofta which was truly extraordinary, so savory and satisfying. OMG! We took our ample leftovers home and enjoyed them today, sautéing fresh veggies to mix with the cream sauce from the malai kofta. Curry Café is not a flashy looking place, but the food is terrific. read more
