We had a very good lunch here. We'd planned to go to another restaurant across the street, but they turned out to be closed. We saw a sign for this place and decided to cross the road. When we first arrived, we were the only people inside. The restaurant was larger than it appeared from the street/outside. All the tables were covered in white table linens. There was a regular menu plus some lunch specials as well as a combo lunch special plate advertised on a table placard. The lunch specials were very well priced and appealing, but we decided to go with the special combo as it included both naan and rice and a drink/soda. The combo plate had 2 pieces of plain naan and fluffy basmati rice in the center, then sections with spicy lentil dahl, roasted tandoori chicken on the bone topped with raw onions, a fried samosa (stuffed with potatoes?) appetizer that was a bit spicy, creamy butter chicken (white meat chunks) in a savory sauce, and for dessert: sweet gulab jamun. Everything was quite good. We even took a bit of our lunch home for a later meal. My husband enjoyed a hot milk chai (tea) and I just had a soda for my included drink. While we were dining, we got to watch/hear some Bollywood style videos on the large screen TV. It was a good background to our meal. We had good service. We liked everything on the combo. And we'd love to come back to try their weekend buffet.

We came by here a couple of months ago as we had a craving for Pakistani food. This place is recommended by a friend who like me is a self-professed foodie! This used to be another Indian restaurant whose name I cannot remember, but approximately 10 months ago was taken over by Mr Raees who was the former owner of Eli's kitchen where south of us. This is a very large restaurant, kind of divided with one side able to host, large banquets, and the other side where the regular diners are attended to. It is clean, well lighted, and can host large groups of people . We were a group of four people so we went ahead and ordered on the recommendations of our server . Vegetable Pakoras, Chicken Karahi and a mixed grill served on a bed of delicious biryani rice! For you newbies, I would highly recommend this dish as it gives you a great sample of quite a few of their barbecued meats and a biryani. The portion is very generous, and the price is very reasonable. Our server was more than attentive and helpful and I apologies for not remembering her name. The owner Raees came by a table to check on us. He was very friendly and involved with the restaurant and whenever that happens that is the icing on the cake. FELLOW YELPERS I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRYING THIS PLACE OUT FOR GREAT PAKISTANI CUISINE !! Needless to say WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY!! (I also heard very good reports on their weekend luncheon Buffet. We have yet to try that out. )

Perfect solo or bestie date location…read more I finally understand the hype behind this life changing butter chicken. I ordered mine medium spice, and it was honestly perfect , creamy, rich, buttery, with just the right amount of heat that built slowly without overpowering the flavor. Every bite had depth. The chicken was tender, the sauce was smooth and flavorful, and paired with the rice and butter naan? Elite combination. The chai was warm and comforting, and dessert closed everything out perfectly. This meal had me quiet at the table for a minute because I was really taking it all in. Easily one of the best food experiences I've ever had. And planning my next visit and who to invite lol

Since Maharaja seemed to be the only Indian place nearby, we figured they got their snacks there. The eatery offers indoor and outdoor dining. And the decor is eclectic and cool. We were the only ones in the restaurant for a while on a Sunday at lunchtime, but soon we were joined by other diners. And like the passengers in the car, they, too, were South Asian. To me, this was a great sign. Our server was extremely polite. And she asked several times if the food was good and if we needed anything. We also got complimentary Indian crackers before our meals. And were given free warm cheese balls for dessert. We ordered the goat korma and the lamb maharaja, both medium spicy, for our meals. The goat was tender but the korma sauce was creamier than expected and a bit sweet with actual bits of raisins. The lamb maharaja was spicier than a medium level. But oh so good with a great tomato sauce that offered a scintillating tingle to our tongues. It was definitely the standout entree. And everything came to the table piping hot, including the dessert cheese ball. We were disappointed with our order of naan. It was flat and tasteless. We've had better naan from a grocery store package. While the food definitely was very good, we thought the prices were a bit high. Our entrees were close to $30 each. And the portions were decent but not ample. Lunch for 2 with 2 entrees, an order of naan, tax, and tip, was $80.

First Indian food in general can be a little pricey but the amount of they give it makes up for it. Now onto the food, I got the chicken tikka masala medium and the lamb vindaloo hot. The meat was so tender I barely had to chew, the tikka masala was so good and flavorful. The lamb vindaloo wasn't hot as I expected but nevertheless was very delicious. I also got a samosa which was crispy and full of flavor. I had this black sauce that I don't know what it was but it was subtly sweet. Last but not least I had to get a mango lassi which was literally a 10/10 so refreshing and tasty. If you're looking for good Indian food definitely come here!

When entering the restaurant you are greeted by the host who will allow for you to pick where to sit. I chose a seat near the window to enjoy the view. After receiving the menu I decided to order the Chicken Tikka Pizza medium spicy and a can of Coke. The pizza came out piping hot. This was a great pizza combination I've never had anything like it. The taste was spicy and the ingredients tasted fresh. A true masterpiece. My server was very nice and informed me that they offer an unlimited buffet from 5 to 9 on Wendsday nights. It's always great to find a local spot with good food that is worth coming back to try their buffet soon.

Lately, though, I've noticed more people eating in, so we've gone back a few times over the past couple of years. Dosa is my favorite, and since it's something you really need to eat right away, dining in makes sense. We've tried gobi Manchurian and a variety of other dishes, but dosa is still my favorite. Unfortunately, the service is basically nonexistent. No one checks in to see how things are. The last time I ordered a masala soda, it was terrible. I tried getting the server's attention but no one came over. I ended up paying $5 for something I didn't even drink. When it was time to pay, I waved for the check and was told to come up and pay instead. Why I tipped, I honestly don't know--I wasn't happy about that at all. That said, the food is generally good. The sambar wasn't great on our most recent visit a few days ago, but overall the restaurant is always clean and the prices are reasonable. I'll be back, but I really hope the owner or manager reads these reviews and understands that customer service truly makes a difference.
