The first time was shrimp and mahi. The second time was shrimp, mahi, conch fritter batter, and oysters. The third time was for even more shrimp. Are you picking up on a trend? When shopping anywhere, it's clutch to go for the local options, and here it was the shrimp. The largest, local shrimp were just $10 a pound, and they were fabulous. I could eat them every day. Um... I think I pretty much did eat them every day. In part, that is thanks to the flippin' amazing cocktail sauce. Which isn't local. But that doesn't make it any less kickass amazeballs. Kelchner. Remember the name. Delightful, delightful stuff. Even if it happens to be made in Allentown, PA. They have been making it since 1938, when folks weren't fooling around with subpar ingredients. Of course, in St. Augustine we had some datil pepper hot sauce too. The staff was great. All of our questions were answered about where the fish came from. Oysters from Canada. Mahi from Central America (I forget where, maybe Honduras). I appreciated how you could order whole fish, and they would prepare them for you. That way you can inspect the gills and the eyes to pick the best one. We never called ahead to have shrimp peeled and deveined, but the fee per pound to do so felt like a pittance. Most of my shrimp consumption came in the form of boil, peel, and eat, which is good because it slows me down a bit. I shudder to think how many shrimp I would have consumed if they were all ready to shove into my shrimp hole. Without a doubt I'll be back the next time I am in town, which hopefully won't be too long.

Tables are greasy, slimy & just filthy - there are No Wet ones to use to wipe down before eating, nor Sanitizer station. I was there enjoying lunch for over 30 min & no one came in to check. 1-elder employee sitting on left side round tales, with his entire legs up on the benches to sit enjoying his phone time. Another one using the entire 4-chair table - eating alone on phone, left -did not pick up after herself - Gentleman in front of her was sucking on a bucket of chicken, throwing bones on the table, clean sucking his fingers as he had no napkins, got up & left his mess. When friend & I were done lunch, we cleaned our area as well as we could, as there is no Wet ones or wet cleaning area to clean up after yourself. Total sitting area was not inviting, so who ever designed your new store area, was not thinking that Shopping was a pleasure, for families, singles or children to eat ,,,especially with all the viruses going around. I am a loyal Publix customer, but will stay on my side of the bridge to eat, shop & enjoy Publix.

Cafe menu looks to be tasty but haven't had a chance to try as everytime I've gone to the market it's closed or employees behind the counter look unenthusiastic to see or help a customer, plus there's no menu posted on the walls for easy viewing. As per the couple of times I've gone in to shop I noticed I've recieved some following from store employees looking over my shoulder in isles, as a student from the local college I can understand being careful but it comes to a point of obnoxiousness and poor customer service. I've also noticed they carry some products that are sold at the Winn Dixie across the street where the price so happens to be significantly cheaper so keep that in mind.

It has been a great method everywhere that I have lived. This venue is a blessing!! The owners are so friendly and welcoming. I called ahead of my visit this time, because I was on a mission to find Thai chili peppers. Score!!! I was getting desperate after going to a local "natural market", then Winn Dixie, and was I was almost going to go to a Thai restaurant to ask if I could buy some peppers off them. I called to PJ's and asked the owner and I lit up like a kid at Christmas time when she said "yes, I have them"! I immediately said that I was on my way! There's lots of parking spaces and it's easy to get in to the plaza from the road. Not only was it easy to find my prize, but it was so fun to look at all the delicious ingredients, treats, dishes, teas, and medicines. The refrigerators and freezers are full of Asian delectables and I was sooooo hungry and wanted everything! I had to limit myself for now because I was waiting for my next paycheck, but I still bought more than I should have!!!! Why ? Because I don't get to see these products at other local stores. I know that I always get my necessities/ essentials/ pantry must haves... but it is so hard not to get candies, teas, snacks, dishes, and cravings!!! I should not shop when I'm hungry... or did all these awesome products just make me hungry!!! I was feeling greedy for sure!!! I love this venue and I love the awesome lady sitting at the counter as she helped me pick out which package of pickled mangoes were better. And of course, I bought the one was her favorite!!! I love soaking up her wisdom!!!
