I've passed by Curbgrill so many times and finally tried it today. Not sure if it was the grill itself or the overall strip mall, but it previously gave off sketchy vibes. It looks brighter and has more curb appeal lately. I was greeted by a friendly face as soon as I walked in. I ordered a sausage breakfast burrito without cheese. I noticed that they have a veggie (peppers, onions, mushrooms) burrito and asked if he could add veggies. He gave me the option of adding specific veggies or all of them. I opted for all of them, and I wasn't charged extra. Total came out to $13 and change. He skipped through the tip option, and I asked for him to go back. He mentioned a Yelp review would be really appreciated, and "he takes care of us." I'm all for fair wages! The breakfast burrito was very stuffed and a fair portion. The tortilla was nicely toasted; slightly crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. The inside was like fried rice in that everything was mixed together in small pieces. I personally prefer when the ingredients are layered, so the hashbrowns stay crispy. I was given 2 sauces. 1 was like thousand island dressing with a mild kick. The other was green and had a more moderate kick; it looked like freshly blended jalapeños. I layered both on with every bite, and they really added to the overall flavor. While working in the oppressive heat yesterday we broke for sustenance and Curbgrill was our choice. The restaurant was empty after the rush so no fries as they took that chance to change the oil. No worries (didn't NEED fries) as my smash burger was top notch (hand formed patties) and my honey's Chicken Cheesesteak sandwich was chock full of yummy veggies. He would have tried the chicken smash burger but they were sold out. TBH the chicken burgers were what moved us to try Curbgrill to begin with. What a great idea. Next time hopefully. It is a clean feeling space. Very bright and utilitarian. The AC was laboring but it was well over 100 degrees outside. Service was friendly. Bottled water was included with the meal. All in all a good experience. Nothing fancy but excellent quality. Second day in a row now. Still no chicken burgers or cutlets, but fries were available. The customer service here is very nice. They also have lots of indoor tables and 1 outside table. Restroom and parking as well. Despite these great qualities, the reason for my 3/5 star is because I just felt like the burrito I had was extremely salty. I wasn't a big fan of all the ingredients being combined all together. It takes away from being able to enjoy each ingredient of a burrito (I'm a major breakfast burrito fan so I've been to dozens of restaurants serving BB, and sadly this one fell short of my expectations). Curbgrill makes a mad decent smash burger at a decent price. As a small hole in the wall place, the orders can take a while if you order at the counter. I'd suggest ordering ahead on the phone. I appreciate that the burgers come as a double, otherwise it just wouldn't have the right ratio. The buns are light, airy and buttery. The fries are decent, well-seasoned with a light dusting of cajun-type seasoning and they have a really nice burger sauce, make sure to ask for extra. read more

I just stopped by again today, close to closing time, and the owner is a super nice guy--you can tell he loves what he does, and that passion translates into bomb a** food! The perfect burger exists only at Curb Grill. I first came here a few days ago to grab food to-go, and they were incredibly accommodating, getting my order out quickly so I could jet. 12 bucks for a breakfast burrito that was shorter than a plastic fork?! At first I thought I'd been hoodwinked, but this burrito was deceptive for what it lacked in length it made up for in girth. And it is a hefty boy! I ate half of it with delicious sausage, steak, eggs, cheese and some hash browns and I was so full I had to save the rest for later. And that green salsa they give has quite a nice burn without being overwhelming. Really nicely done. But the star of my order was the Philly cheesesteak which was stuffed to the rim with sliced beef, peppers, onions and American cheese and sooo so good. Also too large to eat in one sitting. Sad I don't live in the neighborhood anymore as I'm sure I'd be a regular every time they post up in front of the Ralph's there. Looking forward to trying their smash burger next time. I had the Veggie Bowl with hash browns, scrambled eggs, green peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. It was ok. Had to add green sauce (Zhoug?) or their creamy orange sauce to give it some flavor. My partner had a chorizo and bacon burrito. Again, ok. This is more of a takeout place. We went for breakfast but there is no coffee and you're eating out of plastic bowls and with plastic forks. My husband saw it before when it was just a food truck so when we noticed that it took over another chicken sandwich show we used to go to he was excited to try. We ordered the curbgrill favorite and the curbgrill special. Honestly, both were pretty salty. We have tried a lot of breakfast burritos living in LA. So this wasn't one of our favorites. Everything was a little too mushy and the saltiness made it a little difficult to eat. The green hot sauce was fresh and had a kick so it helped with the flavor of the burrito. I wanted to like the restaurant but really didn't. It wasn't even like a business really more like a pop up shop. There were a few guys in there ordering when I arrived and from their conversation with the guy taking orders. it seemed like it was their first time there too. The guy taking orders was very nice, took time to explain the menu. I took advantage of the opportunity to listen because this was my first time here too. However apparently the menu had changed though another woman who arrived after me had been there before ordered something and the person taking her order told her all that had changed with the item from when she previously had ordered it. They had a bunch of shastas, la croix and flat water in a refrigerator that looked like it had been obtained from another business. They had a grandma curtain hanging to divide the kitchen space from the front. I wanted to order coffee that was on the menu. They told me they only had instant and had some Folgers or something next to the register. The food was a little strange. I ordered a croissant sandwich but the croissant was like in a hotdog bun shape and stuffed with a crumbled egg mixture that apparently had bacon, hash brown bits and cheese all mixed together. It was ok but not what I expected. Anyway the whole thing was a little strange. Expanding upon my review in response to the owner's feedback. Yelp offers business owners and managers a chance to enhance their business through input from the community. I went on a Saturday at 11 to get my breakfast fix expecting a long line, but there was only one other person dining in (no complaints on the no line). The staff at the cash register was very friendly and explained to me that their lunch menu was not available just yet (specifically their fries) when I tried to order their smashburger combo. So I forewent the fries and just had the smashburger and the Curbgrill breakfast burrito. Starting off with their breakfast burrito, I was happy to find it not overly salty as I often find at other places. There was a nice crunch from the hash brown, and the chorizo was not too salty. They give you their two house sauces, the green one being my favorite for the burrito. The tortilla was nicely toasted, and it was overall decently sized for its price. Although famous for their breakfast burritos, Curbgrill has some bomb smash burgers as well. It comes with two patties (not too thinly smashed fortunately), choice of grilled or raw onions, house sauce, and pickles. They also have a protein style option if you prefer lettuce instead of buns. I thought the burger was great, one of my favorite smash burgers so far. Goes great with their thousand island version sauce. Most people started coming in at noon and for pick up. The owner checked in on us and everyone seemed attentive. They hooked it up with a drink as well, so they really know how to make sure you feel right at home! I'll definitely be back for their breakfast burritos and perhaps try their fries and their breakfast croissants next time. I have been following this food truck for quite some time on Instagram but kept forgetting to check it out. I finally had the pleasure to stop by last weekend and I couldn't be happier!!! They truly have some delicious burritos/croissants. My friend and I ordered the bfast burrito and croissant and it was so gooood. The green salsa is straight fireeeee!! Spicy but very flavorful really added a nice kick! The aioli that they have is really good too. We arrived around 815am they were already parked on the street and there is plenty of street parking so you can order at the truck. The guys working here are really nice and very informative, I don't really like meat with eggs so they told me my options I loved the peppers, onions and cheese. The cheese made it super creamy!! The portions were massive and they don't skimp at all. My only suggestion is that they get a Pico de Gallo that you can add as a side, I would even pay for it if it's extra, I love tomatoes and cilantro so it would be the icing. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food your getting. Overall great experience, so glad I finally got to check them out and I highly recommend. Service was top notch!!! read more

The food here is authentic and excellent. I had the spaghetti alla bolognese, which I have at every Italian restaurant, and it was one of the best. The noodles tasted authentic and were cooked perfectly. The sauce was a sensational combination of ground meat and tomatoes. One person I was dining with got the salmon pesto fettuccine. The pesto sauce was amazing- they add cream to it which is a perfect addition. All the food was great, service was excellent, and atmosphere great. Albert and his dad (and perhaps a cousin or two depending on the day) are incredible and truly passionate about feeding people. Albert knows all his regulars and love to chat with new customers. It's a community hub in a food truck and a visit to Curbgrill feels like a hug. Burritos are PHAT. We're talking LOADED with meat, cheese and eggs.
