Fantastic services in the Antelope Valley area. Quality craftsmanship and details. Contracted multiple times for complete backyard renovation with sod and sprinkler installation. Over a year later and the grass is perfect condition, Dodger field green. Front yard work also done with rock and tree stump removal laying concrete for a smooth front porch finish. Also added a curb to the front garden area which really went a long way. I have scheduled a custom putting green course for the other half of my backyard, will post photos after completion, ready for summer. Overall positive experience, 10/10 recommendation. read more

Read about my horrible experience!!!!! 7/7: the project of the curbing got done at my home 7/10 : I called the company but had to leave a voicemail , I stated in my voicemails how I was disappointed in the job due to stains and drip marks all over my curbing 7/11 :The lady (Dorris) called me back asking about my voicemail and I explained what the issue was and she did state she didn't want me to be unhappy with the job so that on Monday 7/13 someone would come check it out . 7/13 comes around I stayed home all day waiting and no one ever showed up . 7/14 I called back and no answer so I left a VM stating how no one showed up and wanted to follow up when someone would come . DO YOU THINK THEY EVEN CALLED BACK !!! Nooo they didn't ! 7/15 : (AM) I called again and Dorris answered again i stated I was calling to follow up to see what is going to happen ! She said someone came by on Monday and took a look at it , me a bit confused because no one ever knocked on my door , she said she was going to reach out to Craig and find out what the results were and she would call me back 7/15 (PM) a few hours later I called again because I still haven't heard back , and she said oh I texted him he might not be in a area with reception and I also asked how come if someone came to my house to look at the work why didn't they knock on my door and she said maybe they went a bit earlier . Me as a customer if someone is upset about a work and you come to there home you would knock so you can talk to them about the concerns . 7/15 (PM) she called me back and stated that he never came and it was miscommunication . she said she would have someone come to my home on 7/16 in the afternoon . I said okay 7/16 : I called to confirm what time he will be showing up to ensure I would be home she said between 4:30 or 530 pm . Do you think this person showed up !!! No he didn't ! It's very unfortunate that some people are soo unprofessional and business owners !! They did a sloppy job and they are okay with someone been upset and just letting it be ! I as a customer that had such a horrible experience would not recommend this place !!! Look elsewhere !!!! read more

This company had me waiting for them ALL day. Had an appointment at 0900. They called and said they would be an hour late. At around 1030 I called them and was told that a piece of equipment had broke and they had to fix it but they would be at my house soon. At 1200 I called again and was told that they would call me back because she wasn't sure what was going on. 45 minutes later (1245) I'm told that they were having difficulty fixing the part but they would come to my house. At 1530 still no one had shown up so I called the office and apparently they are closed already. No one called to communicate that they wouldn't be here today or to reschedule. I waited from 0900 until 1530. Wasted day, horrible company. Zero stars! After rescheduling because of equipment repairs, curb crafters came out and did a great job. I explained what I wanted and they were done in no time. I look forward to doing more business. read more

Id give you 5 stars if you had just confirmed the time with me. Courtesy calls go a long way. Im a contractor running multiple jobs. I cannot work with a 2 hour window. 1 hour. 30 min. 15 min. But 2 hour waiting in front of a clients house in 90 degree temp is not fun, time is definitely money, if the window is 11-1. The install time is 11 am. Id like to work with you if you can get your time table right. Cant Imagine working with multiple subs like this. Id never get anything done. It is 1pm. Dont show up by 1 today and Im canceling for ever. 1.5 hours down the drain already when I could have been at my other job site being productive and making more money. Thanks... read more

Just finished last section of my backyard that needed to be done. Work was phenomenal. Installed DG and putting green in backyard and it looks phenomenal!!!!!! Also installed DG in my front yard about one year ago and without me asking they recompacted and brushed the front yard and made it look like the day they first installed it. Craig always gives a quote on the spot and he is far more reasonable with prices than most in the Antelope Valley. I also had a lot of leaves from neighbor's tree that had collected on my patio. The leaves were not in their way but they raked them and disposed of them. I am not use to companies doing more than they have to. I am astounded and beyond impressed with customer service, professionalism and quality of the work completed. read more

Stay clear of this company. I called for almost a week to get an estimate done. They *never* answer the phone, and it takes them at least 24 hours to return a call. Finally got an estimate scheduled. They gave a 2-hour window. I even called them the morning of to confirm the appointment, and they said they would be there. NEVER SHOWED. Wasted my time just sitting around waiting for them to show. Never got a call saying they were running late or needed to reschedule. Needless to say, they didn't earn my business, and I'd recommend you find another more responsive and customer service-oriented company. read more

There was a little confusion when scheduling to come out intuitionally, but everything worked out great in the end. This seems to be a family runner business and I admire their professionalism. I appreciate that they showed up right on time, started working right away. The owner verified a few things with me and got to work. I had to run back to work. And was pleasantly surprised with how great the curb looked when I got home. Only thing I was a little disappointed (and knocked off a star for) was getting a hold of them usually involved leaving a message since they were usually out at a job site, but they always got back to me, and also I had to clean up some of the spilled/extra cement on the surrounding area. Not a deal breaker. I will definitely be calling them again if I need more curb work done. read more

Recently had my backyard done. New grass, a handful of trees, new sprinkler valves and heads, decomposed granite, extending sprinklers...in 2 days Craig and his team knocked it out. This company is awesome! Craig and his guys are very friendly and do an amazing job. We recently had them tear out our grass and put in turf, curbing, plants and a slab of cement. They did both front and back yards. They were very helpful during the rebate process also. When the person from the county came out to inspect the yards and make sure the turf and plants were done. He told me it was one of the best yards he had ever seen. He sees a lot of them as that is what he does. Not only does my yard look amazing they were much less than ever other company I had gotten bids from which were many. I would and have told anyone that would listen if you decide to go the drought resistant lawn route, call Curb Crafters. They are professional and HONEST which is not something you always find in today's world. read more

I hired this company to install sod around the perimeter of my yard, install and fix existing sprinklers, and to remove and replace a concrete slab. They came back out multiple times to resolve issues related to poor installation such as puddling due to unleveled sod, sprinklers placed too high above sod, some sprinklers placed too low, some sod laid right over sprinklers without cutting a hold in the sod, not enough sprinklers placed which led to sod dying, etc. Immediately after installation of the concrete, an edge of the concrete chipped, they first told me to buy a bag of concrete to repair myself, I practically had to beg for them to come back out to fix it, they tried but it doesn't look very good. Now, there are multiple cracks in the concrete that was laid just over a year ago. Sod was installed up to my block wall and I really wish they would have advised against this as the bottom of the block wall has now began to disintegrate from the sprinklers. Throughout the whole process, it was a challenge to get a call back for these issues, they took a really long time to cash the check I paid with, and Craig's demeanor and language was highly unpleasant with every interaction. Curb Crafters subcontracted through Agro-Tech. They ran two straight lengths of curb, one on each side of my front yard. Two days after they left, the curbs (both) had cracks in them. It took the threat of a law suit to get them to do anything about the curb. I told them they didn't have to tear everything out and replace it all, that if they could patch with the same color, I'd be satisfied. (NOTE: Curtier & Sons Landscaping told me this could be done.) Well, they finally came out and "fixed" the problem. If you were to drive by my house, you'd probably think someone had taken red spray paint and vandalized my curbing. Not only this, but the stamping on the two curbs doesn't even match!!!!! Poor, impersonal, and unprofessional service plus shoddy workmanship equal a warning for others NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH CURB CRAFTERS!!!! read more

I needed to update my yard in order to sell my house. The mid-80's block borders were in disrepair and poured-extruded curbs are contemporary and architecturally more satisfying, allowing curves and contours. Easier on the gardeners too, designed to allow the mower to cut the edges. I heard of curb crafters through my agent and got a very reasonable estimate, with additional cost for tinting the concrete to match retaining walls. The crew of five showed up early on a very hot day and worked their magic. They even finished the site prep I had agreed to do. They accommodated a few last minute design changes. I am very happy with the service and the end result. I think placing extruded curbing is a unique skill that not all concrete contractors have, and curb crafters does nothing else.
