I am a tea fanatic so we checked this place out at the recommendation of a friend who lives in Baltimore, and I'm glad we did. This place is a whole vibe - definitely a beautiful bright spot in an otherwise desolate Baltimore Harbor. They have an amazingly varied selection of teas - there were so many I wanted to try (I wish they didn't only offer the tea flight on Saturday). They also had a beautiful array of cakes and cookies and muffins and scones, etc. We tried a few treats (pound cake, chocolate chip cookies, blueberry muffin) and they were all amazing! Popped in today after I came across this cafe as I was walking at the harbor. It's a cozy spot in the marketplace and when you walk in, you're greeted with lush plants, r&b soul, and comfy seating, though it is limited. I loved that they had an area with books as well as a vinyl collection. You can purchase loose tea as well as have a cup or flight. I chose the apple chai tea with milk which was lovely and seasonal. The servers were kind and thoughtful. I will say that this is not an ideal place to work with a laptop as they don't provide WiFi in addition to the limited seating/electrical outlets. I heard about this place from TikTok. It's a black owned tea shop located in the inner harbor mall area. It was easy to find. The space is so spacious and lots of seating area. They have tons of books and vinyl area for you to browse but also listen too. On their website, they have many classes they host. I just had lunch and was looking for a place to read my book. I got the sapphire blue tea that had chamomile, Peabody, mango and other herbs. It was delicious and they made it for me then brought it to where I was sitting. They have pastries as well. Cuples Tea House is a Black owned business located on Howard Street in Baltimore. We've visited Cuples Tea House multiple times and every visit has offered the same thing: excellent tea, incredible customer service, tasty food and reasonable prices. Our most recent visit was part of their "Elevated Tea Experience For 2" event series that happens the first Saturday of the month and on Sundays throughout December. This ticketed event ($50 per person) includes bottomless tea and assorted sandwiches, fruit, crackers, cheese, dips and sweets. For our experience, Cuples tweaked their menu since my wife and I are vegetarian and vegan. Our spread included mini eggplant sandwiches with spicy sauce on pretzel bread (which I liked so much), some really good strawberries, a mocktail and vegan brownies (incredibly good). My wife picked out the teas which were both light and flavorful. Each visit ends with a scouring of the "retail" side of the tea shop. Here you can find local and tea related items that are great for the home brewer. My wife usually leaves with a few things that she can use as gifts for upcoming holidays or birthdays. I had always wanted to try this place, so I came in genuinely excited. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The interaction felt rushed, and I got the impression that customer experience wasn't the priority. I ordered a chai tonic latte, and the staff member specifically asked how much sugar I wanted. I clearly requested a couple pumps of liquid sugar, yet the drink was made incorrectly, and I had to go back and confirm it. That alone made the experience feel careless. What stood out even more was the presentation. Other customers who were sitting in were given proper ceramic cups, which made the experience feel thoughtful and intentional. However, my drink was given to me in a disposable throwaway cup, even though I planned to stay. It may seem small, but details like that affect how welcome and valued you feel. As a first-time customer who had been looking forward to visiting, it was disappointing to feel dismissed. The overall experience felt impersonal and rushed. Such a beautiful and unique experience! I myself, am not a tea lover (coffee lover), but my 13-year -old son loves tea and I was looking for somewhere to take him to experience drinking tea. I came across Cuples Tea on social media and I had to go. It's a a snug, comfortable , cozy spot! Soon as you walk in, it's an overwhelming warm and welcoming feeling! The owner was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about teas, it felt like going to an Aunties house on Saturday morning for breakfast and baked goods. I was in awe, I couldn't believe that such a wonderful place is tucked in a row of business and I hadn't discovered it before. I had a latte tea, yes I said latte and it was spectacular. I've yet to visit Cuples Tea House in person, but their teas have become a staple in my home. I've been gifted their blends many times, and I've even purchased them at other locations, like BOOST Boutique at Harbor Place--they never disappoint! My absolute favorite is the Cha Cha Tea. The combination of chamomile, peppermint, and lemongrass is soothing, refreshing, and perfect for unwinding after a long day. I recently tried their Mango Green Tea, and it tastes as amazing as it smells--light, fruity, and so flavorful. If their teas are this exceptional, I can only imagine how wonderful the in-person experience must be. I love this adorable cafe. The staff is pleasant and attentive. The ambiance is chic yet casual. The seating is comfortable so as to encourage you to stay for a while. When I arrived, I began to look over the menu and shortly after, I was greeted by one of the owners. I ended up ordering the tea flight and a sweet potato scone. I sat in their beautiful seating area to enjoy my tea. I guess the only downside is that the seating area is pretty small. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my experience. The owners are very nice and informative. I got the chance to learn about the teas I was drinking in addition to enjoying them. So basically, expect to have an interactive experience here. Loved this spot! Super cute inside and the baked goods are unreal. The woman helping us at the register was a sweetheart and so helpful. It's quaint and cozy but that's how a tea house should feel (although I wish it had more seating so I could stay longer). However, if I want the experience at home, there were plenty of loosed and bagged tea options for sale. During my visit, the customer service experience was amazing! The customer service was terrible. I arrived at 1:40 and didn't receive my tea until 2:07. Though the tea was very tasty it wasn't worth the wait. There were several customer seated next to me that shared they were still waiting for their tea and food despite having arrived much before I. Another guest next to me ordered a run cake which she later discovers expired on October 24, it's now November 23. She then went to return her item for a refund and was told by the cashier that they didn't know how it issue refunds so she was instructed to pick two new items to make up for the $12 expired rum cake. The price range of tea bags range from $9-$16 so a little bit on the pricier end of tea, but I think it would be more cost-effective to order a tea pot for your visit instead of 1 tea cup. The tea pairs nicely with the pastries they provide. I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet potato scone. They also provide deli-like or cold lunches that are pre-packed. Parking is street parking on the street or around the block. In my visit, the wifi was not working so I had to use a personal hotspot for getting some work done with a colleague. Just keep that in mind when you plan to go there for tea and are hoping to get some work done. They also sell cute merchandise, so perfect way to get stuff for your tea-loving friends! Eric came by and explained each tea in explicit detail (where is came from, each ingredient, caffeine level etc.). The tea flight (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) gives you the opportunity to try some amazing teas. These owners pay SO much attention to detail that the samples are served warm so you can truly savor the intricate details. We also had a opportunity to try some sweets...O-M-G!!! This is a MUST try. Cuples Tea House is a female + black owned business with the goal of inspiring healthier communities and educating people about the benefits of drinking tea. We got the chance to meet the owner and she was so friendly! She also made one of the best fresh brewed chai tea lattes with almond milk and agave I've ever had! The interior is absolutely a vibe, and the perfect place to hang out or grab a tea (and some fresh baked goods to go!) Apparently they also offer tea flights on the weekend, so I can't wait to come back and try some more teas! I finally made it, on a perfect Thursday with a friend for tea and a catch up before work. This quaint tea shop has such a cozy feeling. I love the seating right in the windows and the high ceilings, it makes it feel like I'm visiting my favorite aunties house. The music was a good vibe and the service was great. What a vibe! My sister friend and I were in town for a conference and stumbled upon this magical place. After a walk through the city, we enjoyed breakfast and tea. My girlfriend ordered the everything biscuit which she loved and I had a sweet potato scone (yes sweet potato) and two mini biscuits. I also had a glass of the Afro Blue Berry green tea. I was excited to visit Cuples Tea House with my future mother in law who loves tea. We arrived after 2p (maybe 2:15p) and ordered two teas and a pastry. At the time of our arrival, the spot was not full or busy. We were engulfed in our conversation (which is a good thing, right) and didn't realize that we had stayed past their 3pm closing time (it was 3:10p). At that point, a server came to us and told us that it was past 3p and they can't close unless we leave. The server that asked us to leave appeared to be under serious stress and pressure from someone on the phone. In fact, the phone conversation was inappropriate to have in front of customers. Once she hung up the phone she came over to me and apologized and explained that she felt she was being pressured to say something and was feeling disrespected by tea house management. At that point she ran to the back and was overcome with emotion. It was quite an interesting and shocking scene to experience. I don't know what was going on....all I know is someone felt bothered by me staying 10 mins after closing time. No one at any point mentioned the time to me or gave me a heads up that they would want me to leave at a certain time, prior to 3p. I was a bit shocked because i felt like I did something wrong by patronizing their business after 2p. It was an odd experience.
