The cracker, cheese, fruit and non vegan sweet spread
Joel H.

Cuples Tea House is a Black owned business located on Howard Street in Baltimore. We've visited Cuples Tea House multiple times and every visit has offered the same thing: excellent tea, incredible customer service, tasty food and reasonable prices. Our most recent visit was part of their "Elevated Tea Experience For 2" event series that happens the first Saturday of the month and on Sundays throughout December. This ticketed event ($50 per person) includes bottomless tea and assorted sandwiches, fruit, crackers, cheese, dips and sweets. For our experience, Cuples tweaked their menu since my wife and I are vegetarian and vegan. Our spread included mini eggplant sandwiches with spicy sauce on pretzel bread (which I liked so much), some really good strawberries, a mocktail and vegan brownies (incredibly good). My wife picked out the teas which were both light and flavorful. Each visit ends with a scouring of the "retail" side of the tea shop. Here you can find local and tea related items that are great for the home brewer. My wife usually leaves with a few things that she can use as gifts for upcoming holidays or birthdays. Cuples Tea House is a must visit for all tea fans visiting Baltimore.

Really loved this tea house which also includes the record and bookstore Vinyl and Pages! If you're in the Inner Harbor you should definitely support this Black owned business.

Really great experience. We went for the tea experience, private event. You get 90 minutes with food, and bottomless tea. The only thing you feel rushed with this experience. Customer service was excellent! The food was good. Thr teaaaaa you have to get the tea! It is delicious! We purchased many bags, and reasonably priced, and a nice size. Please go try the tea you will not be disappointed! I will go again and purchase more tea.

Such a beautiful and unique experience! I myself, am not a tea lover (coffee lover), but my 13-year -old son loves tea and I was looking for somewhere to take him to experience drinking tea. I came across Cuples Tea on social media and I had to go. It's a a snug, comfortable , cozy spot! Soon as you walk in, it's an overwhelming warm and welcoming feeling! The owner was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about teas, it felt like going to an Aunties house on Saturday morning for breakfast and baked goods. I was in awe, I couldn't believe that such a wonderful place is tucked in a row of business and I hadn't discovered it before. I had a latte tea, yes I said latte and it was spectacular. The teas and baked goods were served in glassware and I couldn't be more happier, that someone took the time to pay attention to detail. The tea and baked goods were made with love. My son and daughter loved everything . I was able to peacefully sit there, sip tea and read !

Beautiful little tea house run by true connoisseurs that features exciting loose blends, delicious small bites and a cozy yet upscale atmosphere.

Elevated tea snacks - A wooden serving tray with two levels displays baked goods like muffins, cookies, and a cupcake, along with sandwiches, set near a window with a blurred outdoor scene.

This is such a cute little space that packs a big punch. I have had couples tea many times before but had never been into their retail location until now. We went for a full tea service and it was worth every penny. There is almost too many options to choose from so i would say look for flavors you know you like and go with staff recommendations. The staff were very nice and informative and the snacks during the tea were the perfect pairing. Come for the varied tea options, stay for the cozy seating.

Spiced Chai latte with almond milk. Exemplary!

I love this adorable cafe. The staff is pleasant and attentive. The ambiance is chic yet casual. The seating is comfortable so as to encourage you to stay for a while. The sheer number of teas they offer is beyond comprehension. I went with a spiced Chai latte with almond milk and was not disappointed. In fact, it's up there with the best I've ever had. I managed just enough willpower to avoid buying their tempting muffins and cakes but I'll be back to try them. The only knock against them is their limited hours. I have to plan to visit them but it's well worth the trip.

I wanted to enjoy a little "me" time so I decided to stop by Cuples Tea House on an early Saturday afternoon. When I arrived, I began to look over the menu and shortly after, I was greeted by one of the owners. I ended up ordering the tea flight and a sweet potato scone. I sat in their beautiful seating area to enjoy my tea. I guess the only downside is that the seating area is pretty small. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my experience. The owners are very nice and informative. I got the chance to learn about the teas I was drinking in addition to enjoying them. So basically, expect to have an interactive experience here. They also sell tea for you to enjoy at home as well. I ended up grabbing an iced tea to go and it was delicious as well. The flavors of the tea flight change monthly. The iced tea flavors change regularly as well but I'm not sure of the frequency. Cuples Tea House is located on Howard Street and not far from Mount Vernon Marketplace. I found parking in between both places and ended up walking to Mount Vernon Marketplace after visiting Cuples.

I learned about this tea house on IG and was excited to try it with a friend who also wanted to visit. It's quaint and cozy but that's how a tea house should feel (although I wish it had more seating so I could stay longer). However, if I want the experience at home, there were plenty of loosed and bagged tea options for sale. During my visit, the customer service experience was amazing! I was given the perfect suggestion for my order...so much so I finished my tea before leaving the block. So refreshing, so good. This place feels like a hug so I'll be back soon!

Super cute cafe. Everything was delicious. Great for breakfast before work. There's no WiFi so it's not the best for co-working. It's family owned and operated they are very sweet.

Two cups of tea and two slices of cake are placed on a wooden table, with a laptop nearby and yellow napkins underneath the cups.

Small, cozy beautiful tea house. They have a wide range of tea, so many flavors I haven't heard of before! The price range of tea bags range from $9-$16 so a little bit on the pricier end of tea, but I think it would be more cost-effective to order a tea pot for your visit instead of 1 tea cup. The tea pairs nicely with the pastries they provide. I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet potato scone. They also provide deli-like or cold lunches that are pre-packed. Parking is street parking on the street or around the block. In my visit, the wifi was not working so I had to use a personal hotspot for getting some work done with a colleague. Just keep that in mind when you plan to go there for tea and are hoping to get some work done. They also sell cute merchandise, so perfect way to get stuff for your tea-loving friends! Plus, support Black Owned businesses!

THIS is THE downtown Baltimore hidden GEM!! The owner's Eric and Lynnette (can't forget "Nephew Nate") are AMAZING!! Eric came by and explained each tea in explicit detail (where is came from, each ingredient, caffeine level etc.). The tea flight (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) gives you the opportunity to try some amazing teas. These owners pay SO much attention to detail that the samples are served warm so you can truly savor the intricate details. We also had a opportunity to try some sweets...O-M-G!!! This is a MUST try. We will be back, and back and back again. Street parking is bountiful and not expensive ($0.50/ hour). There is nothing to not love about this place...comfy, cozy and sooooo inviting.

They have SO many teas - it's kind of amazing and overwhelming at the same time. I ended up just going with one of their specials, which was an iced hibiscus tea - really delicious and refreshing on a hot day. I asked for honey as my sweetener, but it wasn't very sweet at all. This wasn't a bad thing for me, and you can always ask for more if it's not sweet enough. I also got two scones to munch on while I was there. They have a decent selection of pastries that I believe were all made by Maillard Pastries. They were both berry scones, though I can't remember the exact flavors. One was noticeably drier than the other, but I still really enjoyed them. It was a nice snack to have with my tea. Definitely a cute spot to work or study from with solid food and drinks. My friend and I had plans for a granddaughters that fell thru for a tea event. I called this business right after they opened on Sunday morning trying to make last minute reservations. They don't normally do same day reservations but, we were blessed because they accepted reservations for 4. Our little ladies were so excited to go to the tea spot. We were all tea party dressed and ready. We entered and was greeted with smiles. Not only the staff but, also others that were dining complimented us on our attire. It's not a very large place. But, it was just enough. Nothing fancy but, we all had a great experience. We started with 4 different teas. I remember peach, blueberry, mint and I can't remember the last one. We enjoyed them all. My favorite was the blueberry. Nothing was rushed. It was a little busy for them so the food was a little slow coming out but, we didn't mind. Remember they accommodated us and we were patient with no complaints. We started with the sandwich tier, then the scones their and last the dessert their. The girls were just tickled. They even received a marshmallow treat and a gold balloon that I forgot to snap a photo. Great experience and I would return.
