Very popular coffee cafe. It's very spacious and modern layout. So many selections coffee pastry and sandwiches menu. Ordered Freddo cappuccino . That includes 2 shots of espresso on a cold coffee brew. The chocolate croissant soft and crunchy. There was a long line and wait . Overall , quality coffee to go or dine in.
Came here after we got off our morning flight. The coffee was indeed very good! Bold and fresh. I love the foam at the top even though it was iced. For food I got the number 5. The croissant could be a little more buttery but it was still good

This place served up some really great pancakes ( better than Wildberry ) and some fresh lattes and coffees . Having tried their spinach omelet I can say it tasted freshly made and had some good flavor and moisture to it . When the chicken sausage was added , everything got elevated . The chicken sausage was definitely a star of the meal . The best part of the meal however I have to reserve for their blueberry lemon pancake . Fantastic! is how I'd describe it and not juvenile. The only thing I didn't enjoy was their dense and heavy biscuit . It wasn't good on its own and it wasn't much better with jam and butter . This place operates as a bakery as well which is good and makes alot of their bread-y items from scratch which is a huge plus .
Really cool vibe in here with high ceilings and lots of little nooks and crannies to sit in... My green tea was amazing whole leaf tea with a drizzle of honey and they have nice pastries and desserts. I enjoy a cute little mini fruit tart my husband had an apple pastry that was lovely. The service was excellent and cheery. And they even had clean bathrooms! 5-stars Chicago!
We had breakfast and coffee on two separate occasions on a week long trip to Chicago. They are very popular for breakfast, but the ordering and seating system was smooth painless even though it was busy. I love a fresh made jam, and theirs did not disappoint. This is a perfect spot for breakfast or a mid day coffee pick me up.
Love the Vibe of this place. Very modern, bright, and open. Lots of menu choices, full breakfast menu,and yummy treats! My cinnamon pecan scone (I think that was the flavor) was really, I mean, really good! This coffee shop is also walking distance to Navy Pier and other attractions so it's a great location. lots of indoor seating and a little outdoor section. Patron bathrooms. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Would definitely stop here again.

Cupitol cappuccino just made my cap midday! Bakery too! Friendly service! In Vivio location to meet up! Spacious inside! Walked in on a busy weekend for brunch. The line was huge but we found a seating fortunately. The portions are huge and can be shared with 2-3 people depending on the things you want to eat. For beverage got the greek espresso and nutella latte. Nutella latte was too good. We shared the berry mascarpone french toast, mushroom sphagetti and chicken egg roll which was customizable. All of them were fresh and good. Service was quick too

I got their Freddo cappuccino which was good just a little strong. The breakfast sandwich or croissant was really buttery and good. The service was great as well, they bring your food and drinks to you. I did see a sign saying no laptop during the weekend but this is still a great place to change up the work day or scenery. It does close a little early but perfect if you come early in the morning.
Popped in on a hot Chicago day, just looking to cool down with a smoothie. Upon entering I was bummed out there was really weak ac (if any). I got the avocado smoothie, which was a wee pricey. And it was already lukewarm when I got it. I've gotta give this place another shot on a cooler day. The vibe's pretty relaxed, a few people were there eating, hanging out, or getting some work done. I also heard really good reviews on the food which I haven't tried yet.

Breakfast Sandwich ($10)- pretty good flavor, but quite small Midwestern omelet ($14),- super large omelet, very fluffy. One of the best omelets I've had. Cobb salad $14- there's half an avocado and half egg on top

Cupitol saved the day for us! Not really, but we were on the brink of hangry and it came thru :) We walked from our hotel to Navy Pier, and it was much hotter than we originally thought. We needed lunch and wanted something pretty casual, and this was a great find on our way back. You order at the counter, and they have a great selection of options! It's a cross between a coffee shop, bakery, restaurant, and lounge vibe. The food all sounded delicious, but I ended up getting the pesto wrap with chicken and it was fireeee. I also had an espresso martini which was really good and SUPER affordable. The salads and juice all sounded great too. Definitely worth a stop! read more
I walked in on a Saturday morning (~10am) before heading over to the pier and was surprised to find that there was plenty of seating. Upon walking in there was a staff member directing traffic, a staff member taking order, and 2-3 baristas making drinks. Our party of three ordered a cold brew, an iced Americano, and my sister wanted to order an iced machiatto but the person taking the order seemed really annoyed by that and said "no what you want is a latte" and put that in instead. Our drinks were out in a few minutes, but I wa surprised that as soon as I stepped outside I realized my "iced Americano" had no ice (it had already melted). The coffee had a fine flavor but it got warm really quickly, so I didn't end up finishing it. read more

A friend of mine wanted to get together for lunch. She suggested Cupitol Coffee & Eatery. Glad we got to see her when we met here on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the Cupitol Vegetarian salad. It tasted divine. I like how the green onions liven the spinach, mixed cabbage, kale and carrots. To top it off, the kitchen staff added lemon vinaigrette to the salad. Jospeh ordered a Cupitol burger with cheddar and a macchiato. My friend ordered the burger with fries as well. The service on the other hand, it did not stand out well. Joseph said that the baristas threw the macchiato on the counter while another barista came around to wipe some of the macchiato off the plate. No apologies. Sad because many of them looked young and seem like they did not to be there. Next to me, some customers bickered about the prices on the menu. They did not understand why the prices changed from the last time they came there. When taking my order, I felt that one of the baristas need to take some lessons on customer service. Sort of takes away the shine. Cupitol Coffee & Eatery looks like it draws in a local crowd. Families, friends, and dates come here. But they probably did not experience what we did. read more
On our last morning in Chicago, we were wandering around and came upon Cupitol on E Illinois. Simple exterior with big windows peering into a quaint space to scoop up a quick bite. Cupitol is a coffee house/shop at its core, but also has the feeling of a small restaurant or eatery. Their menu features all the standard coffee shop bites and drinks from bagels to espresso and pastries, while also featuring a bit more from fresh lemonade, breakfast sandwiches, poached eggs, pancakes and more. You order at the counter and then they assign you a table, which is where your items are delivered. We went with lemonade, breakfast sandwich and country Benedict. The sandwich was bacon, egg and cheese on a warm and crispy croissant, delish! The Benedict was essentially biscuits and gravy topped with a poached egg. It was tasty, but had a few "flaws" from the egg being a bit overcooked and the biscuit being a tad tough. Still tasty though! Lemonade was tasty, but tart. Service was stellar from the counter to the food runners, everyone was friendly and helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Cupitol and have added it to our Chicago list! read more

Love this little neighborhood coffee shop. You order from the counter and the workers are always so nice. It's a nice big open space and we always seem to be able to find a table. They had fresh flowers on some of the counters for the holidays. Very pretty. The Matcha latte and chai drink were both very good. My friend had a croissant. She planned to only have a few bites and take the rest home, but it was so good. She finished the whole thing! read more

The staff here were incredibly considerate and quick. I got up to grab a fork, and within two seconds, someone kindly asked what I needed and brought it over right away. I don't think I waited more than two minutes for my matcha, super efficient service! The matcha itself is more on the bitter side, but the chocolate croissant added just the right touch of sweetness to balance it out. I'm very picky when it comes to chocolate croissants (they're my go-to order), and this one was genuinely good. I do wish the chocolate was a bit more evenly spread, it was more concentrated on one side, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. I'd definitely recommend this place for a lovely breakfast with friends or family. Just maybe not ideal for studying, it's more of a cozy cafe vibe than a work spot. read more
Have stopped in Cupitol several times because I'm obsessed with this place. Awesome breakfast/lunch, fresh pressed juices (including the best fresh orange juice I've ever had), and tasty pastries. They have a ton of gluten free options and have excellent/quick service. The shroom omelette was the best omelette I've ever had and the eggs were so fluffy and delicious. The gluten free pancakes were also awesome and fluffy. They also have a great selection of coffee and smoothies. They have tons of seating inside and outside and I've never had to wait for a table. It's quiet and comfortable inside as well. Keep in mind they close shortly after lunch, so double check their hours before going. read more

Cozy vibes at Cupitol Coffee & Eatery when I stopped by on a chilly November Saturday. The place was buzzing with people stopping in for coffee, breakfast, and pastries. There is an ample amount of seating, split for guests ordering a full breakfast and lounge seating for those grabbing a latte and pastry. i love brunch food, anytime of the day...i could eat brunch thrice a day if given the option! this little local cafe hit the spot...after a morning of touring old navy pier and enjoying the streeterville, mom and i came here for a late morning bite. you come in, order at the counter, take a number, they bring you your food...simple as that! i ordered the "shroomed omelette" which consisted of wild mushrooms, gruyere cheese and spinach, folded into egg whites (my choice of substitute). i opted for the sweet potato hash instead of the traditional hash browns. my plate also came with toasted sourdough bread with butter and fruit preserves. this looked amazing when it was presented to me, and tasted great! the egg white omelet was healthy but still very tasty, and i loved the woodsy/grassy/foresty flavour of the wild mushrooms. i'd never had sweet potato hash before (only traditional baked sweet potato and sweet potato fries) but this was yummy! grilled to perfection! before tax and tip, the total was $16.50, very reasonable, considering the substitutions i made. had it been warmer, i'd have sat outside, along the curb and people-watched. but their indoor seating was very warm and cozy. i'll definitely be back the next time i'm in the windy city! read more
I normally go to the location in Evanston which was closer to my old job. The downtown/ Streeterville location has a different vibe and crowd than that location especially if you're coming for weekend brunch. Food is solid like other location but the wait and crowds were a minus for me. Prices are comparable across both. I much prefer to hang out at the Evanston location than be in the hustle and bustle of this location but I think that is a personal preference. Would recommend you get there early if you want to grab a larger table . I liked their corned beef hash read more
We met a friend for brunch. It's a straight forward place with a lot of space. You order at the counter and they bring you your order by table so no wait staff visiting tables just bussers and runners. The food was tasty. They portions were fair. I dunno what was happening with the barista but she slammed my macchiatos on the counter and there weee a couple arguments before that with other groups. Other than that everything was ok. read more

First time at Cupitol today with my family. Very spacious, warm ambiance, service is good. We arrived for breakfast, and I ordered the midwestern omelette. Orange juice, eggs, and hashbrowns were all good--but I REALLY enjoyed my toast! It was thicker, probably a sourdough--very fresh tasting, nice touch. Overall, I would recommend. read more

Walked here for Saturday brunch with the hubby while on our way to Navy Pier. We were in Chicago for St. Paddy's weekend and staying at a hotel just about a 15 minute walk from Cupitol so we decided to try this place since it has healthier options on the menu. I got the avocado toast with scrambled eggs, and hubby got the avocado wrap. For drinks I got a matcha latte with oat milk and hubby got the Nutella latte. We also shared a pistachio mini croissant! Everything was well-made and delicious! We really enjoyed our quick brunch. The ambiance is really good too, you can sit and dine at tables or you can lounge around on comfy couches! We took the couch and while sitting we saw many pedestrians/tourists taking a peek through the windows and deciding to eat here, which tells me it's a pretty popular spot for quick brunch or lunch! Very family friendly too! Will definitely return here when I'm back in town! read more
Friendly employees. Cozy environment. Great coffee. What more could you ask for? The cortados were perfect and the latte art was too cute! The pastries and food looked good too so I will definitely need to come back and try them. I loved that they have a clear glass wall so you can see where they make the pastries. The table area is a bit cramped but very comfy. Overall, it seemed set up well for catching up with friends and coworking with a community table and outlets near the tables. read more
I absolutely love this cafe which is located in Streeterville location. My friend and I recently tried this place for quick coffee and bite to get over our morning hangover. We ordered an Iced Latte with Almond Milk, Cold Brew with vanilla syrup and Vegan Avocado Toast. The food was really good, the avocado toast was served on pesto and hummus which was pretty tasty. I particularly like this place as it offers a variety of Vegan friendly options. They have huge seating space as well with sharable tables, and couches. It is a good place to try breakfast options and coffee! read more

Do they have an egg substitute option for vegans...like Just Egg? Or other vegan proteins?
Is this a good place to study/work? Or more of a brunch place?
It is! They have great tables for working on laptops etc. and they even have comfy chairs to work in as well. I know there are some outlets but I don't think they're at every table.
