We traveled from the Northeast to Islamorada for a tasting, only for Tony to cancel 10 minutes prior, admitting he and his spouse forgot. Tony had been sick for days but made no alternative arrangements, and no food was prepared--even though his partner was baking for another event. This blatant disregard of responsibility convinced us they were incapable of reliably catering our wedding. What competent business owner gets sick and doesn't check their work commitments? Adding to our disappointment, Tony kept 50% of our deposit ($4,800), citing his 72-hour cancellation policy, despite our event being 10 months away. Though others may have had positive experiences, their reliability is questionable. While we would not work with this vendor again, I would recommend anyone who does to question the size of the deposit and ensure the tasting is included in their signed contract. Other comparable vendors in the area require much smaller deposits.
