First time visiting since new ownership. Overall place looks refreshed. Love the variety of china. Delicious bread with a great olive oil and butter dip. Our rice ball appetizer was very tasty. Enjoyed the half salad before dinner. The veal was excellent. Cooked perfectly with great flavor. Wife loved her shrimp pasta. Overall positive experience. We were good with our service but clearly they were having some issues and others thought they were unfriendly. The food is worth a visit.

This place is a true hidden gem. Nestled in what looks like a small tiny house this spot is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. Parking and entrance are located in the rear of the building. The menu is filled with incredible dishes, my personal favorites being the chicken parm, mussels and pepperoni pizza. They also have amazing specials every day of the week! We've always received great service and especially love the bartender Aubrey! This place gets slammed on Friday and Saturday so make sure to call ahead and secure a reservation. They are closed on Sunday's.

Came here last week for a dinner with some golf-related friends from out-of-town. Spot came recommended, and I was anxious to give it a try! Not terribly busy when we arrived, and it stayed that way throughout the entire meal. Server was super-pleasant, but service (especially given the lack of patrons) was extremely slow. We only ordered dinner platters and drinks, no appetizers. I went with a two-meat combo platter, that came with one side, pickled veggies and some cole slaw. The mix of brisket / burnt ends and (wet) spare ribs contained some good quality meats that appeared to have been cooked in a smoker, but the portion sizes were definitely on the smaller size (see attached picture). Sauces were served on the side, on a plate full of paper cups and three different profiles...sweet, hot and a mustard based version. The baked mac-n-cheese was super gooey cooked in a small cast iron dish and baked to a golden brown on top, but not terribly flavorful and kinda heavy. The small cup of cole slaw was terribly dry, almost as if it did not have any dressing at all. Flavor-wise, I enjoyed the meats but the sides left a lot to be desired. Not sure I'm rushing back to this restaurant, but would maybe consider giving it another try.

Today was our first time trying this place and we all enjoyed our meals at Smokin Qs! All of our entrees were delicious. The service was very attentive and the interior was adorable. We started out trying to sit on the patio but had to move inside due to an aggressive bee . Haha The patio is very nice though! Here is the run down of what we had: Me: BBQ chicken quesadilla off of the appetizer menu as my meal minus the onions and pickles. It was DELICIOUS! I also had the brisket poutine. I enjoyed this as well but my eyes were bigger than my stomach. My husband: Chef Z's Fat Burger, 2 skinny patties, BBQ pulled pork, Shiner braised onions, American, mustard aioli, slaw, house pickles. His burger looked amazing and he said it was the best burger he has gotten in a long time. As his side, he had gotten the Fried Corn ( Cotija, chipotle, cilantro). This was good in terms of flavor because it is similar to elote but was not warm. Stepson #1: had the pulled pork sandwich and ate the whole thing! He is our picky eater so this was fantastic! He had fries as his side. Stepson #2: Had the combo platter with brisket and pulled pork and Mac n cheese as his side. He ate all of his food. We also got the following sides to share: Baked Bean (cassoulet) - this was the biggest miss of the entire meal in my opinion. It had a strange flavor to it that I can't put my finger on. Mac n cheese - this was just a meh for us. It was somewhat bland. Cornbread- absolutely delicious! Almost tasted like it had lemon or something in it. We also got desserts. Three brownies and the German chocolate cake. Next time we will likely pass on the desserts just because we were wayyyyy too full at the end of this meal. We will definitely be back to try more menu items! Thank you, Smokin Qs!

(probably after a nice long day of golf) If you use the restroom, he's usually sitting at the end of the bar and will harass you when you leave the restroom. I've been in this establishment two times. The last time was June 18. I went to the restroom at 9:55 PM. This would be a good time to check your security cameras. Before even walked into the restroom, there were comments made to me by him that were inappropriate. Left the restroom where he proceeded to sit in his chair. Ask me if I went number one or number two. Then he proceeded to blow in my hair and tell me that I should be doing sexual favors for him on my knees as all of the men around him laughed. He proceeded to make fun of my hair, etc... Sam is supposedly a family man. This is supposed to be a family owned establishment which is posted online. It is not. It is trash. The owner is trash. How embarrassing for his entire family. All of the bartenders, of course, defended him as he was sitting there harassing me. Of course, at the time I didn't realize that it was Sam the actual owner. But of course, while I was taking up for myself, I was told by one of the female bartenders that "this isn't gonna fly here" when I was standing up for myself. I truly hope that maybe Sam can get his life together and stop harassing customers especially new customers. This is not a family, friendly establishment when the owner is completely drunk, falling off his barstool and using complete disgusting language to females that walk by him. I honestly have never had an experience like this before, but after it happened and speaking to other females that frequent that wonderful classy establishment, Sam is known for this. Save your money, time, and class...go somewhere else where you're not sexually harassed.

It's like a wine shop meets date spot. I've been here multiple times over the years for dates, solo evenings, and Cleveland Heights Neighborhood Beer Crawl. Wine Spot was a nice backdrop for all these days. INVENTORY: You'll find an entire long wall of various wines organized by the type of wine. You'll find Dom Perignon and wines under $35 coexisting in the same space. You'll also find beers, THC drinks, sake, and a lot more. You'll also find so much beyond wine - sardines, chocolate, and gift baskets. It's an ideal location to shop for gifts and build a basket. I don't have any particular recommendations. I usually ask staff for recommendations and gravitate toward white wines. Except during CLE Beer week I tried two different beers here - Executive Decision by the Butcher and the Brewer, Yakima Chief Forward from Fat Heads Brewery. AMBIANCE: Market vibes with tables and bar available for guests. The ambiance is nice, casual, quiet enough for a date. There is a lot of space for groups including a private room. SERVICE: Service is pretty friendly but tends to be slower. What I love about here is that they can chill wine bottles upon purchase. You can immediately go home with a chilled bottle of wine and get into your evening. Aside from this reason, there are plenty to do at the winery - events, monthly wine club, and more. Long story short, visit!

Right in the middle of dinner, every single phone in the room went off at the same time with a tornado warning. You could feel the shift for a second--everyone looking around, trying to figure out what was happening--and then shortly after, the lights went out. No candles, no backup lighting, just a room full of people sitting together in the dark, lit by phone screens, laughing and taking it all in. (Yes, we got a picture--because how could you not?) What stood out immediately was how calm everything remained. There was no chaos, no confusion, and no sense of panic. The staff handled it with a level of professionalism and composure that honestly impressed all of us. And that's where Noah deserves real recognition. Noah went above and beyond in a way that you just don't see every day. When we asked what the plan was if things escalated, he didn't brush it off--he made sure we knew exactly what would happen and reassured us that we would be taken care of and moved safely to the kitchen if needed. That level of awareness, communication, and care made a huge difference in the moment. Now let's talk about the food--because even without the storm story, this place stands on its own. Everything was excellent. The salads were fresh and well-prepared, the meals were flavorful and clearly made with care, and the overall quality across the table was consistent. You can tell this is a restaurant that has built its reputation over time and continues to deliver. The atmosphere also deserves a callout. There's something about this place that feels genuinely personal. The family photos throughout the restaurant--even in the bathrooms--gave it a warmth that's hard to describe but instantly recognizable. It reminded me of my Nana and Papa, that kind of nostalgic, comforting feeling that you don't often get in restaurants anymore. And somehow, even sitting in the dark during a tornado warning, that feeling didn't go away--it actually made it stronger. That says everything. End result: * Incredible, high-quality food * Exceptional, thoughtful service (huge shoutout to Noah and the team) * A warm, authentic, family-style atmosphere * A once-in-a-lifetime dinner experience we'll never forget Amazing experience--lights or not. If you're in the area, go. And if something unexpected happens while you're there, just know--you're in good hands. Would absolutely come back.
