Cummings Plumbing in Tucson is wonderful. I have had a number of great experiences with them where they did not charge. 1). A bathroom faucet handle was stuck shut. Another plumber wanted to replace an interior part, at great cost. Cummings just used force and got it working. No charge. 2). We couldn't get our hot water heater to turn on. Cummings showed us what we were doing wrong and how to do it right. No charge. 3). A faucet was leaking into the cabinet below and a friend hand tightened it. When Cummings came, they said there was no leak and didn't charge us. I have had other work done by them for which they charged and the service they provided was always highly professional and the highest quality. If they don't make it perfect the first time, they come back until it's perfect. For example, I had a roof leak over my garage that they didn't solve right away. As a result, portions of the garage ceiling were heavily damaged. They cleared away all the damaged parts and patched the area and you can't tell now where the damage was. read more

A Cummings Plumbing plumber who came to our house talked me into accepting a program that would offer a discount for future services. Later I realized that accepting this offer means you will be receiving approximately $30 monthly bill from them for THREE YEARS, with an additional $175 penalty charged for stopping the program, plus being charged for any discounts accrued by you during the life of the plan. Accepting this program from Cummings was an enormous mistake, and choosing this company in the first place was an even bigger mistake. read more

Extremely impressed with the professionalism and work handled by their tech Aaron. I spent all day troubleshooting a draining problem and by the time Aaron came he listened to what had been done and communicated immediately how he would work to resolve it. As a woman it was very reassuring that he was not dismissive at all and moved knowledgeably to resolve within 30 minutes. That type of customer service is what you expect when you call a professional and I would definitely recommend their service. I'm surprised to see such a high number of negative reviews of Cummings. My brother recommended them to me and they were one of three companies I called when my HVAC went out last summer - of course, during the hottest month of the year. Cummings showed up quickly, gave me information about my HVAC that even my inspection didn't show, and was able to get the system restarted. All of that happened without charging me a thing. I ultimately got 3 quotes for an entire system replacement as my system was 25 years old. I chose Cummings because I wanted a good brand system, the size, time for replacement, and cost comparison. Ultimately I purchased a Trane system plus new water heater for $15k. The crew showed up timely, spent many hours in my attic in 120 degree heat, cleaned up after themselves and left me with a brand new efficient HVAC and furnace. The water heater installation was the following week and same thing - quick, efficient, and no problems. My brother HVAC went out this month during winter and he also chose Cummings for a full replacement and had a similarly good experience. read more

I never write reviews, but I had to make an exception because Cummings Plumbing did an AMAZING job! I was initially skeptical about choosing them due to the high cost- they are definitely on the expensive side, but I went with them because their proposal included drywall repair, which other plumbers didn't offer. That turned out to be a great decision. From start to finish, they were extremely professional and kept the project moving smoothly. As soon as one task was completed, the next was already in que. their coordinators are efficient and don't waste any time- there were no delays whatever. I want to give a huge shoutout to the plumbers who worked on my house, Daunte and Mahmoud. They were professional, courteous, and kept me informed every step of the way. When they found out I didn't have water for 6 days, they worked hard to get water running in my house and didn't even take a lunch break!! These guys are hard workers. They would show up at 7:30 and literally work until 5:30pm!! When the work was done, Daunte took the time to walk and show me everything they'd done. He explained the types of knobs they installed, how to use them, and their purpose. When the inspector came by the next day, he pointed out a few issues, Daunte and Mahmoud returned just 20 minutes later to fix everything on the spot. Also, Chris did an INCREDIBLE job with the drywall. His work is top-notch- you can't even tell where any cutouts were made in the ceiling. I cannot recommend this company enough. I have nothing but the highest praise for all of the people who worked on my significant project. I purchased and had the company install four separate systems: a tankless hot water heater, a water filtration system for the entire premise, a special, secondary filtration system installed under the kitchen sink for the highest grade drinking water, and a leak detection system on the outside wall. The filtration system required a new water line be trenched to the premise, and that the premise itself be re-piped. I planned this with my sales rep, Chris Kemp over about six weeks. I seldom have worked with a rep of this caliber, a man who had persuasively factual answers to all my many questions. This safety net of specific answers is what allowed me to green light this project. I decided to travel during the installation and re-piping process. When I returned, all was in great order. The team repiped with such finesse I had a difficult time discerning where they even went into my walls! Nor was it easy to discern just where they trenched and filled back in on the outside. They took exceptional care of my property with a minimum disruption to my immediate neighbors in the casita complex. I am more than impressed. I am now their client for life. I believe that if you utilize their services, you will be too. I endorse them for another reason as well. The leak detection system was the only system not working when I returned. My sales rep worked with the manufacturer over about two weeks. Eventually, the system was replaced so that the problem was solved. Cummings will stick with you if there is a problem. Cummings was able to fix my electrical problem when some wiring in my attic shorted out. I was surprised how inexpensive the service was. Mike has helped us out several times with water heater replacements at multiple homes and he was always fast and fair priced. I had another plumber come out and install 3 faucets and a garbage disposal after getting new countertops. I had used this other company before and most recently had very mixed experiences with them. After having 2 of the 3 faucets and the disposal leaking in addition to having the kitchen faucet installed 90 degrees off by this other plumber, I called Cummings Plumbing to come and fix it all. Chris and Casey were very courteous and did a great job at identifying the issues and working to get them resolved. Chris was very experienced and I felt very confident and comfortable with his professionalism and plumbing knowledge (unlike how I felt with the other company). Unfortunately, this morning I found 1 of the faucets was still leaking, but when I called Cummings, they were quick to assure me someone would come out today and fix it. Sure enough, Mani came by on-time this afternoon and did some troubleshooting and quickly fixed the issue. He even went above and beyond to figure out why my brand new faucet stopper was sticking. Kudos to Mani for fixing the leak and going above and beyond. The next time I have a plumbing issue (I hope not for years), I will definitely ask for Mani. Overall, I had a much better experience with Cummings Plumbing (actually, no comparison) and will definitely call them again in the future. I have no hesitation recommending Cummings and specifically, Chris and Casey, and now Mani. I am so very relieved and thankful that I can now enjoy my new remodeled kitchen and baths. read more

But they came to our rescue and repaired what had been done wrong years ago. The crew was great! Polite and respectful. A delight to have around my house for what seemed like an eternity. These people are absolute dirtbags and are sleazy beyond belief. I will not name the business they were responding to and I prefer to be discreet for reasons of privacy, but dealing with Cummings was a nightmare and profoundly affected my life for a number of weeks. They installed 2 bad Mini Splits. They constantly made noise, didn't work over the winter, broke down in the summer. They came over and looked at them all the time, but they never actually did anything to fix them. They did not stand up to the Warranty at all. Go elsewhere. read more

Had them out to diagnose a clog I had in my pipes. First the employee offered to take his shirt off (weird? And made me very uncomfortable) Then they went right to telling me they couldn't snake it, couldn't hydro jet it, would need to use chains to descale ($3.5k) OR repipe the whole house ($25k) but not to worry! They offer financing! (Eye roll) The clog was septic safe toilet paper, all organic material, local to one pipe. Told them I would think about it, called a small business mom-and-pop plumber that was recommended by our realtor who came out, did a camera inspection, explained EVERYTHING to us, that the issue was our low flow toilet but gave us solutions on how to work around it without having to replace anything as well as was able to clear the clog (again, septic-safe highly degradable toilet paper only) and was out of here in 45 minutes all while showing us the "after" camera snaking to prove it's clearing. In short, Cummings was a money grab, and a local plumber told me how it was and fixed it for under $200 while providing advice on the piping and caring for them going forward. Check with local small businesses before being cleaned out by a corporate business that pushes upselling unnecessary repairs. read more

The workmanship of the Electrician who came to our house to replace a GFCI outlet was fine. The total cost for 30 minutes worth of work, OUTRAGEOUS. For a GFCI outlet with pilot light on Amazon the price is $17.82, we were charged $420.00 for labor and parts with a 10% senior discount, $381 charged. Our main water line split over a weekend, Hard to find plumbers to come out on the spur of the moment and get bids. Cummings came out immediately and reviewed our excavation of the water leak on the schedule 40 plastic that was from 1990. They recommended a complete replacement (which, as I did have another split about 15 years ago) I agreed to, and they came and replaced about 140 feet of residential inbound water from the meter to our house. It was an expensive repair, and has only a 25 year life/guarantee on the polytube they used. Would have preferred to entertain the cost of copper, as the polytube was hideously expensive, especially in light of the 25 year estimated life cycle.... To their Credit: They did come out, they did install a temporary line, The technicians worked diligently and all dealings were professional and the worksite was left in great condition read more
