So I went here because my mom goes here, and I wanted to get my nails done before work. The place that I originally wanted to go was close to the weather so I thought this was wonderful because they were open and it was convenient, little did I know that I really wouldn't be getting something that I wanted. I originally asked for a $35 fill, I was clear that I wanted a fill. The guy took me back we got talking and I came into my first problem: I wanted to re-look at colors after I sat down because I wasn't sure about the one I wanted, He did not let me go back to the wall to pick a new color he said just pick a color from the nail palette that I'd brought over. I thought was strange, but I just went with it cause I wanted a neutral color anyway, and there was a couple of neutrals on there. I ended up picking a neutral color that I ended up not really liking because I wanted some pinkish shimmer, but he said "we can get you some shimmer, I could put a shimmer topcoat on whatever you want." I could've been more clear about the fact that I wanted a pinkish shimmer, but I just went with it. When we go to pay for the nails, I find that it is $50, because he explains since I already had gel on my nails. He gave me a gel manicure, I told him I didn't want a gel manicure. I wanted a normal fill. " but you had gel on your nails already." I paid the 50$ then I left. Someone please explain to me why I couldn't have gotten a normal fill ? They grind off the gel to begin with and put new acrylic on, I was expecting something like $45 because of the extra shiny topcoat and the special nail shape. So I'm already a little angry. But I could have been more clear, I understand, or maybe I'm just trying to look for silver linings. BUT That is when I look at my pointer finger and my thumb on my left hand, I've already left the nail salon by this point, and I'm just looking at the manicure, trying to be satisfied with it. My pointer and my thumb on my left hand are crooked. And I'm not talking the " your finger bends to a specific angle so it's crooked" kind of crooked. You can clearly see, that the tip of the "arc" of the almond shape is leaning to the side on both nails. It's not in the center of the nail. So even when I'm holding my fingers like they normally are, they just are so incredibly crooked. I don't know what to say because I'm still trying to look for my nail salon that I can go back to, but cumming nails will not be it or at least not with that guy. I guess you have to literally be a Karen to enforce what exactly you want. Makes me want to pull my hair out. read more

I went to get my nails done on a Friday and after leaving unhappy with my nails I chose not to say anything but I waited a couple days and eventually went back Sunday. My nails were bumpy, shape was awful and they were all different lengths. When I returned Sunday the lady at the front desk was very accommodating and told me they would redo my nails. I got sat with the same lady that did my nails the previous time but this time I left even worse. They didn't charge me but I ended up asking them to charge me that way i could leave a tip but I will not be returning. I said many things as she was doing my nails but nothing changed. This time I went in to get my nails done for thanksgiving and I had a lady named Cathy do my nails she started out with being on her phone which I thought was rude but that's just the beginning of this terrible experience. When she started filling down my nails it started to hurt and when I mentioned it she just said sorry and kept going then when she went to pick out my color I pointed out to her that I was bleeding and that it was starting to burn again she just said sorry and kept going. Unfortunately my most recent visit will have been my last.. the young lady that did my pedicure seemed either in highschool or just out of highschool. Granted age shouldn't matter with skill, but techs should be vetted and perhaps trained better. She removed my gel polish by filing it off, and kept filing, and filing... 3 days later my toenails have already broken and peeled off because they were so thin. The tech that did my sns medicure felt rushed. She was very efficient but didn't pay attention to the details. I had to point a few things out a couple times to be fixed but I ended up going somewhere else afterwards to get a new set of sns. However, lately I've noticed an intolerance and decreased attention to customer satisfaction. If you are one who doesn't mind being looked over as other patrons come in after you but get waited on first then you may be ok with coming here. Tammy, the manager, is a RockStar! THe guy that did my GEL pedicure, was not good at all. DId not know how to do a pedicure, neverless, how to apply gel nail polish and adhere it. The lady that did my SNS nails, did not do all of the steps to finish my nails. The day of getting them done, they were already bending, due to her not doing the last few steps of the SNS process. This was my 3rd visit. The last 2 times it was wonderful & I would recommend. But today I was terribly disappointed. A young man did the service, he seemed to be in a hurry or not wanting to be there. I had three times that it hurt! I had asked for the green tea pedicure- well the massage he gave me was definitely not worth the added price. I left feeling very agitated because of the service I received, instead of feeling relaxed and glad I had come like my previous visits. I just left there on 10/20/2018 at 4:15 PM. I managed several apartments buildings not far from there and I always stop by Cummings nails when I'm in the area. I have always had a wonderful experience and look forward to going, but on today things were going great as usual then a white lady walked in and said she wanted a wax, they stop working on me ( I'm African American) and immediately helped her!!!! My time is equally as valuable and my money spends just like hers. I felt discriminated against. I decided this was my last time. Went in for SNS and a pedi. The staff hardly greeted me. Once the work started an older male did my pedicure while a young lady did my nails. The young lady was kind and fun to chat with. The man didn't seem to know what he was doing. In the end my nails looked nice but my toes looked like a child painted them. When I asked for them to be cleaned up he seemed annoyed that I asked for good work that I was paying for. Overall maybe my experience would have been better with another person. If I could give negative stars I would. I came here with my 7 year old daughter and asked for a pedi and full set for my self and a polish on fingers and toes for her . It took 3 techs just to do my nails , and 3 to do hers because they had no idea what they were doing . It was as if we were their practice runs . Not to mention they kept raising their voices at us and talking trash in their language. They start putting fake nails on my 7 year old and said they needed to do that In order to get the design she wanted and couldn't do it with regular polish... it was done without consulting with me first and then charged me $90 for her nails !!!!! I went in for a polish change for her. They charged me another $89 for my full set and said $10 of it was to add tips. ?? Isn't that what a full set is ?? This is a terrible place to get your nails done. I went to get my nails done here because I'm out here visiting and this was the outcome (remind you i literally just got them done YESTERDAY). When asked if I could get my money back I got told that they could fix it. But why would I want something fixed when they'll just come out like this again. Their towels are very dirty AND if you're getting a pedicure just know you'll get your nails done at the same time (which you thought would be convenient) but really it's not because this is how your nails will come out.
