I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes, and not a single employee acknowledged my presence or attempted to assist me. However, they did all see me walk through the door. .Shortly after, two Caucasian women entered the salon and were immediately greeted. A man even came out from the back, walked directly past me without saying a word, and went straight to help them--even though I was standing in front of them and they arrived 10 minutes after I did. Please note, I am a Black American. At that point, I calmly asked him why I was being ignored as if I were invisible. He had no explanation. The way I was treated was deeply disrespectful and felt like racial discrimination. No customer should be made to feel overlooked or less important. Based on this experience, I will not be supporting this establishment and I will not recommend to others. I will also be contacting the BBB to share my experience.

Family owned and operated, this nail salon & spa offers the most affordable pricing on all their services, and I never leave disappointed. Every technician takes their time and they always make sure to confirm you love the color/design and the shape before doing a full set (which I really appreciate). I even went here for my wedding nails in Fall 2021 because I knew they would do an A+ job. Luminous does accept walk-ins, but I usually try to make an appointment ahead of time to make their day easier. I've recently taken a break from manicures, but I was consistently getting SNS manicures here month to month and loved the way they did my almond shape - they always looked perfect. One thing that I actually require from a nail salon is that if I book a mani/pedi I expect the services to happen at the same time. I was fortunate enough to experience that treatment today but my daughters did not. It wasn't necessarily a problem but something I would be aware of in the future. Having said that I felt the service was excellent. There were multiple women in there requesting special designs with pics and the staff was very careful to listen and proceed. My daughters and I did not require special designs but we were each very happy with the results and services we received! I appreciated the care that my technician took with my nails and the final results were great! The only "complaint" I might address is the lack of ambiance and decor. The salon appeared clean and tidy but it came across as a little bare and uninviting. One MAJOR shoutout is that I saw on multiple occasions the patrons were provided a stylus (?) to use with their phones while their nails were soaking. That is what I consider great customer service!! I'm not sure when they reopened, but I visited at the end of May. I made a late afternoon appointment on a weekday. I was greeted by three friendly women soon as I arrived. Hand sanitizer and masks were readily available and all three women wore masks. The space is bright, beautiful, and clean. I was very impressed by their vast selection of nail polish colors, including gel and dip powder. I was the only customer the entire time I was there. I didn't catch the tech's name who worked on me, but she was nice and helpful. She didn't indulge in small talk, which was fine with me. I like to listen to audible while getting my nails done anyway. I think she might have been a new tech, and she did a fairly good job. Almost a month later and my dip nails haven't chipped!

The owner, Chris, did my nails and I am very pleased with how they turned out as I'm a little bit picky. I had my nails done elsewhere a week ago and really disliked them and he changed mine to a fresh set that I adore. I got white SNS with a mermaid chrome top that I brought myself. I added some new tips and sealed the chrome with a gel finish. I love the shape of them as well. He worked quite quickly, and was very pleasant to talk with. He hires only the best and believes in the quality of his business, which he passes on to his clients. It's always a wonderful feeling when you can come back to a place you trust that knows you and what you like. Loved it here, and they will definitely be seeing more of me!

My polish got smudged twice and while they were quick to fix it, I wish they'd just redone that particular toe nail over instead of spot correcting since it was fairly evident that portion of the nail did not match the rest. I let it go in the interest of time, but after leaving I noticed even my finger nails could have used a second coat. I could visibly see the polish lines. Got home after some errands and the spot corrected nail had completely ruined, which was frustrating. All on me for not being vocal, but a bit disappointing since I simply trusted that it'd be done right. Went to pay and almost completed my transaction before my gf noticed they had a 20% discount advertised, but they didn't apply it to our bills. Had she not said anything, I would have paid the full price and gone about my day. That's definitely predatory on the salon's behalf and pretty disheartening/disappointing to almost have be taken advantage of. Watch your bill! I think the one thing that truly irked me is that they asked me if they could put my purse on another chair, which is completely fine, but threw a dirty rag on top of it and left it there.
