Whenever I crave a local "chippie", I always think of Culver's. I know that many people enjoy their butter burgers and yogurt, but for me it is the 2 piece North Atlantic Cod with Cole Slaw and crinkle cut Fries (~$17). The team at this particular location is always RELIABLE for fast, attentive, caring, smiling service. The chippie order is ALWAYS delivered to my table PIPING HOT, FRESH from the fryer. The planks of cod are LIGHTLY BATTERED. When you cut into them you can see that these are SOLID CHUNKS of cod, not pressed together meal like fish sticks. Cole slaw is always FRESH and just the right amount of TANGY and SWEET. Fries are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Way better than MickyD's! Dining area is always CLEAN and COMFORTABLE. Bathrooms are CLEAN and ODORLESS. Maybe someday I will try the butter burgers. read more

This big fish fry they advertise is a major joke! 2 little rectangular pieces of extremely greasy fish, a little bag of fries, a small dry roll and thimble of coleslaw for $17.19? The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and tidy which is always a plus with me. The food was average. I do love Culver's fries and must admit I am grateful that they carry grilled chicken sandwiches. I do not eat fried foods much any more so it eliminates most fast food places. Bonus is the custard at Culver's! My granddaughter and I were not a fan of the " Snicker Swirl" flavor of the day. I have been wanting to try the walleye dinner but am skeptical of fast food restaurants. One of the main reasons why is typically cleanliness, or I should say lack thereof. Well, this place was clean. And the walleye, mashed potatoes & gravy, cole slaw and sweet tea were excellent. The fish flaked apart and I could see the scales (mark of a good piece of fish) with great accompaniments. It was like getting a fish dinner from a diner in a fast food restaurant. I buy my wife a concrete mixer 1-2x per week. I always order a chocolate mixer with peanut butter and Reese's cups. It is common that they forget to add the peanut butter since the ticket sometimes rings up weird. This wouldn't be a huge problem, except when I ask for them to remake it they often argue and deny that they made it incorrectly. I can see and smell the different without even tasting it since I go so often and my wife very specific. Tonight I asked them to remake it and they handed me what I believe to be the same exact mixer made incorrectly. I am not one to be rude or confrontational so I just grabbed it and drove home. To no surprise my wife tasted it and they did not put any peanut butter in it. I'm starting to believe they did this intentionally which is disappointing given the repeated business we give them. Gonna have to think twice before going back here next time. I will say the FOOD is delicious, however they just can't get my dessert order right. Even though I'm never angry or rude, the manager won't make eye contact with me when I walk in because I spoken to him so many times. I get the same thing every time probably once a week. Super inconsistent with pricing and food! We come here for a simple order of custard! Every time the cones / cups are scooped differently and twice the pricing has been different for the same order! Going for a simple relaxing ice cream/ custard trip is super annoying at this point.. at least Dairy Queen and the other places around are much more consistent.. you'd think this being a chain they would have the portion sizes and pricing down.. just not worth the hassle every time waiting to see if we have to tell the person scooping to redo!! read more

Overall this wasn't a great experience. I went between 7pm-8pm on Sunday. As I'm waiting for our ice cream sundaes I see half the staff with gloves on and half without. Then I see multiple hands without gloves dig into the ice cream with the scooper to make shakes, sundaes, malts...whatever. Sure enough fingers are touching icecream and toppings and the manager who says everyone is supposed to have gloves on hasn't even said a word to his staff the entire time I was waiting for our food. This is disgusting and I hope this review gets seen by the owner or whoever is over the manager who was in the store while I was in there. He's not a great manager or else he's be able to have a 360 view of the situation and see that his crew isn't abiding by what supposedly is a sanitary and wise rule in their restaurant. Mobile ordered and paid. Went to Culver's, they were still open. Waited as instructed for the food to be brought out. A young man comes out, goes to the end car, not the right car! Turn around, goes back inside while I honk my horn and turn my car on with lights. I wait another five minutes, go inside store and grab the first girl I see. I tell her I'm waiting for my order. She checks a shelf near the door and hands it to me. I asked if it was hot and she said, I think so. Go home, start to unpack my fish meal, two roast beef sandwiches and find out they forgot my onion rings. They also forgot the 2 tartar sauce, bbq sauce for the sandwich, butter for the roll. This was all on the sales slip along with the make and color of my car. I was so upset! This is my FAVORITE fast food chain. Easily tops any other in the Midwest. The wait is inevitable, I don't remember waiting less than 10 minutes for food, but I promise you it is worth it!! The cheese curds are amazing. They're breaded and fried to perfection. This is one thing I tell everyone to get if they come here. The butterburgers... do I need to say anymore?! Butter burger! Amazing and juicy, I usually like double patties, but at Culvers I like the single. Lastly, if you're feeling a little extra cheesy, I love their grilled cheese! Ordered 2 ice creams for dine in. Took our numbered tent sign and got a table right in the main walkway from the counter. . Many mins later we see a guy walk by with just ice creams, think maybe its ours but he keeps going around the other side of the wall, guess not ours. We like their hot fudge sundae. We had the burgers. Drenched in butter... I am actually surprised they don't offer a referral to a cardiac surgeon with the meal. When 1/3 of your drive through orders result in a return trip, you just quit using that location. Most of the time we catch the negligence by checking our bag. I finally went in to speak to the owner, who was too busy to see me. I was given the phone number to the customer care department, my call went to voicemail. After some deliberation on where to eat after work yesterday, my partner and I decided on Culver's. We both had forgotten completely that it even existed! Usually this location is extremely busy, but it was around 5pm on a Wednesday so the drive thru line went pretty quickly. At first I couldn't decide what I wanted but I settled on the grilled chicken sandwich. She got a double mushroom and Swiss burger and strawberry milkshake. I tried the shake and it was so good, it was obviously made with fresh and ripe strawberries. My grilled chicken sandwich was juicy and tender, and seasoned well. We forgot that Culver's items don't come with sauce on them so we had to add mayo to our sandwiches at home. The food also came out quickly (they had us pull over to the side and stuck a number on my driver's side mirror) and the staff was friendly. read more

YAY! Another dinner with the family at our favorite restaurant here in Westland, MI. I had to try the fish this time and all I can say yum, yum! Now this is myfavorite favotite fried fish place by far. I also had a side of the amazing homemade mashed potatoes. I was a little surprized this evening as the potatoes were actually cold. It's sucks that you can't go to your favorite burger joint. I've had way to many bad experiences at this Culver's that my family won't be going to here anymore. The service is horrible at the drive thru. Today they make You wait 12 minutes for your order. When you only have a 30 minute break. This ticket times aren't acceptable. Then when you go in for a refund the women employee badgers you like they are outside with your order with a bad attitude. No thank you lady. I have to go back to work and not be able to eat my food so I must get a refund. I sorry no nothing. Just bad looks. Last month My kids called me to bring home Culver's. My girlfriend and I came to just have a quick meal, we ordered a mini Reeces and a mini Cookie dough concrete mixer. First of all, when our food came, via Amy, it wasn't there. Sure maybe her hands were full and she couldn't carry them. I have no problem with that. No, she did not read the order correctly and did not bring our mixers. I ask for our mixers and she says "i didn't see them". Okay? Can you get them please? She brings us two Ice Cream of the Days. We ask for the correct mixers instead of the wrong ones, and she gives us more attitude. Finally, we show her the receipt, and shrugs us off and makes my girlfriends mixer. Have eaten here 5 or 6 times in the last 2 months. Normally good food albeit service is slow. Today we got dinner for 5 people. Included in the order was 4 orders of pretzel bites. (Our favorite item from Culver's) The pretzel bites were reheated in a microwave oven. The bread was chewy (as happens in the microwave). This was extremely disappointing. Even the cheese dipping sauce was reheated in the microwave. One of the containers was partially melted in the microwave. No worry, serve it anyway. read more
