I haven't had ice cream in months...well, real stuff. I have had sugar free ice cream but not "the good stuff". I ate kind of crappy today, so I thought I would let the party continue and get myself a real ice cream. I stopped by here on my way home from the game. I ordered a 2 scoop Turtle Sundae. It was just under $5.00. Paid the lady my money and they give you a number to take with you and keep on your table. A few minutes later, they brought out my sundae. Here is how it was.............. Turtle Sundae- Just by the looks of it, I knew it was going to be fantastic. This thing was 2 scoops of vanilla custard, caramel sauce, hot fudge, pecans and a cherry on top. The first I noticed when I dug in were the pecans. Good lord they hook them up. Every single bite had a grip of toasted pecans in them. They were crunchy, salty and flat out delicious. They don't skimp on them, that's for sure! The hot fudge and caramel sauce were mixed in well and the custard was cool and creamy. It was pretty much a perfect sundae. I was sad when the spoon hit the bottom of the cup. I don't know how often I will be back...I need to get back on the wagon of my low carb plan this week. Their food options look decent too. I do know one thing though.... If I ever need a sundae, I know where I'm coming for one. It's only about 5 miles from my house and I really enjoyed the combo of flavors, especially those pecans...they were the star of the show. The girls working the counter were friendly too. read more

We love this Culver's and eat here all the time. Usually I order the fish & chips and it is always delicious. The fish portions are large and a 2 piece fills me up. Today I thought I would be different and I ordered the pot roast sandwich. The meat was tough and the bottom bunch was soaking wet; it was mush and made the sandwich uneatable. The drive through person wrote down the wrong number so it took over an hour to get our food. Then they jipped us onion rings and added onion to a "no onion" burger. I gave 2 stars because my mushroom and Swiss burger is still tops. read more

Cashier did not understand that we wanted to pay for a second custard on top of the free one we had with a survey code. When I went to get them after our meal, I was accused of "stealing" the one that I thought I had paid for. Manager literally gave a nod of approval to the employee accusing me of stealing. I was happy to pay for what I should have been billed for with my order. My objection was being accused of "stealing" something I genuinely thought I had paid for. This is NOT Culver's! Maybe I need to lower my standards in Arizona. Plenty of kids standing around only 2 others working. Concrete custard was more like chocolate milk. When our food was ready the custards were not. Those kids standing around together were "not asked" to make them. The girl just passed it across the counter like everything was OK. The shift lead was there but not there leading. I hear this is the new world we live in. It's not corona, it's not supply chain issues, it's not the great resignation, it's just poor parenting. I see some workers hustling there was definitely only two hustling there tonight. The food was okay, the "concrete custard" was unacceptable, the fact this has happened the last 3 times... Not a fan of their seafood. I tried their North Atlantic 3 piece Cod Dinner and it was disappointing. Each piece was wet and soggy on the bottom. I mean wet. Had to use several napkins to soak up the oil in the bottom of my basket. These pieces should be placed on a small rack right out of the fryer to allow the excess oil to drain off. Everything else was good. Don't think I'll order the Cod dinner again. read more

Their hard custard ice cream is now soft that melts before they can even hand it to you. They have plenty of employees standing around talking to each other. They need to learn to listen and take care of the customers. Had to wait for my order and I will have to continue cooking my fries when I get home. The Pepsi drink was not mixed right. After checking into Culver's today, I got a Yelp notification letting me know I am now the Duchess of Culver's. Sounds about right! I have visited this located about 100 times - it is our go to date night spot. It's the only place I go where I can have a regular burger because they have GF buns. Their bacon burger deluxe is perfectly well done with crispy bacon, fresh onions, lettuce, and tomato, and melted cheese. Their fries are the best fries around. After my meal, I always get a concrete mixer- chocolate with m&m's and snickers or a turtle concrete mixer. They have endless amounts of toppings and options for mix-ins and their vanilla and chocolate custards are amazing. You really can't go wrong at Culver's! The customer service is always top notch. Food is hot and ready quickly. Thankful to have a go to place in Surprise that never lets us down. If you've never had Culver's, try it and you will fall in love just like I did - and that's coming from the Duchess of Culver's herself. read more

Best fast food experience we've had in a long, long time. Burgers, fries, onion rings and chicken tenders were hot and fresh. We did take out, everything we ordered, needed and asked for was delivered. All the staff were friendly and extremely efficient. Did not miss a beat on anything! I have to say everything we've tried at Culver's has been very good. The hamburgers are always fresh and flavorful. We love the fried shrimp and cod. The French fries are great too. The ice cream is some of the best around. Even the employees are courteous and friendly. You don't get that in most fast food places these days. There's a reason they're so busy. O. M. G. !!! I cannot believe I'm not in New England! I ordered the North Atlantic Cod dinner and I can't describe how delicious it was. Three good-sized pieces of perfectly fried cod that actually tasted like cod and not the fish -shaped (and sometimes square!) mush I usually find in these parts. Potatoes were equally great, as was the Cole slaw - even the tartar sauce was perfect! I didn't think it was possible to find good seafood around here. I was wrong! . HORRIBLE SERVICE. First, at the speaker box, the guy taking my order did not repeat my order back to me. Then I get to the window and what do ya know? I asked for the order to be read back to me and it was wrong. Then, they tell me to pull around to wait to get my order and I waited almost 30 minutes until I got my order. Terrible! Waited a long time in dinning room for fast food. Desert was served first. I tried a salted caramel mini, and it didn't fill to the rim. Half ass made. Dinning room needed attention for cleaning. I ordered the sourdough melt with grilled onions, they forgot the onions, dry sandwich no spread on it, and cheese curds. Cheese curds were good. I can't see spending $18 again for a half ass meal. Disgusting! My wife and I stop there on Friday, 23 April 2021, for a quick bite to eat. Our cheeseburger was rather cold and it didn't taste right. Against my better judgement I ate the food and I paid for it later that night. I had severe nausea and diarrhea and I believe it was a direct result from eating at Culver's! I will never eat her again. My wife said her cheeseburger didn't taste good and she felt sick as well. This Culver's is really good! The food is made fresh when ordering and they get it out to you quickly. The staff are nice and quick in getting your order. They accept expired Culver's coupons. The manager, Emma is really nice and working right alongside her staff. She asked if we were happy with our food and making sure we were satisfied. Nice to see a hands on manager. Restrooms were very clean. Would highly recommend this Culver's. Worth the money and your stomach will thank you. read more

Another chain joins the ranks out in Surprise and I have to say this one is pretty good. Ive been to the one in Mesa and it was lackluster. Though now some time has passed and I went ahead and tried the same things I ordered last time. Double Deluxe Butterburger, Dairyland Cheese Curds and a Chocolate Concrete Shake. The burger was juicy though not really discernible considering the butter angle, but tasty none the less as well as fresh and hot. The cheese curds, well I just wish they were just cheese curds plain, rather than battered and deep fried. The chocolate shake was so thick that the straw was pretty much worthless.. pretty tasty when using a spoon. Advice, drop the fried cheese curds into the chocolate shake and eat that way, better than ranch!! All in all, kind of boring but pretty solid. Next time Id like to try the fried chicken.. crispy and juicy chicken makes me moist every time!! read more

This is the 2nd year that this Culver's has advertised Walleye dinner during lent and has run out way before Easter. It appears they are using bait and switch to lure customers in and then tell them "Sorry" we are all out. This is only the 27th of March. And they can't blame COVID 19 because it happened last year too. This franchise operator should be reprimanded by Culver's corporate for their shoddy tactics Shame on you Culver's. Very disappointed. I've always wanted to try Culver's since we don't have them in California. Our first stop arriving in Arizona, we decided to stop here. Went through the drive-thru and I got the Cheddar Burger with Bacon and my mom got the Culver Deluxe. We had to briefly wait for our food to be made so we just pulled forward and the staff brought out our food in about 5 minutes. The fries were whatever but the burgers were amazing!! I love the bun that it comes on and the cheese was melted perfectly. Will be back to try their other items for sure! read more

As far as fast food goes this place is just fine. There isn't anything wrong with the food or the service at all. However, this was the first time I've tried it and it was talked up quite a bit and unfortunately, it fell a little flat. The burgers were good but not spectacular, the kids got corndogs and seemed to enjoy them. I will say that it was definitely filling and I wish we had saved room for a sweet treat. Their ice cream options seemed great and maybe they would have swayed me a little more in loving the place had I tried one. I don't know that I would go out of my way to get to another Culver's but I would give it another try and be sure to save room for dessert. read more

Worse customer service than McDonald's. Only ordered 2 meals and 50% of the items were incorrect. I asked for no lettuce on my double bacon deluxe but it was still there. My girlfriend ordered a strawberry lemon freeze but received a regular strawberry smoothie. I ordered a Diet Coke with light ice and received a regular coke with the regular amount of ice. The only discrepancy I noticed at the time was my drink which the employee took back and refilled my same cup. That's why I say worse service than McDonald's because even they would give you a new cup and let you keep the incorrect drink. Especially after being shown the receipt. read more

Stopped in to Culver's last night trying to get a quick bite to eat. Line was wrapped around the building so I thought that the food might be good. I ordered the fish dinner and the chicken tender dinner. Got home had four chicken tenders and No sides. Took two bites of the tenders and threw them in the garbage. The tenders were not fit to eat. I have not been to Culver's in over two years because of previous poor experiences. Not going back. read more

Based on one slightly unfair visit due to an unruly 3yr old demanding ice cream. I ordered 'two of those on the picture out the front', meaning the scrumptious looking specimens on the boards before you enter. Unfortunately, the cashier didn't quite know what I meant - my own fault for not being specific I guess......but then what was served-up were two plops of 'frozen' custard (strawberry and chocolate) - there were supposed to be m&m's in both, but we ended up with double in the chocolate - with that much in the pot, it was inedible (nearly broke a tooth), whilst the strawberry version was a tasteless mess. I didn't have time to have a famous burger, and the frozen custard was not really what I was expecting..... Decor was nice for a chain, sport on the tv was a plus. Maybe next time I'll have more time to sample other stuff, and will change the scoring appropriately. read more

Well we had 1 billion coupons for culvers, so we gave it a try. I had a cashew chicken salad.. And it was actually not too bad. There was a good amount of chicken. It wasn't gourmet by any means, but hey for 7 bucks it wasn't too bad. But let's be honest the CUSTARD Is where it's at. Plus you can get a free cone if you do the survey on your receipt. If I lived close to a culvers.. I would be overweight from the custard. It's heaven people read more
