So this Culvers has been the most anticipated place to eat at since Bdubs opened a while ago. From the outside looking in, it's a very nice establishment, it's not your Burger King, McDonalds. It didn't have that egular fast food feel. I like that a lot cause when I was stationed in Germany, the KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut looked like 4 star restaurants. They don't have a Culvers in the West Coast and the best palce we have to offer is In-N-Out, so I was pretty happy that there would be another fast food place to eat here. I ordered the famous Orginal Butterburger. It wasn't greasy, and burgers actually looked like burgers. To say the least, it was good. I would have to say that it beats out all the other fast food chains by miles. So I've been there and few times and yes the food is good but the service isn't great. About 50% or the time they forget to give me something that I ordered. One time I got home and was missing something but didn't feel like going back so I called. They said they were gonna send me a gift certificate but I never got it. Now today I ordered about $60 worth of food and got home and of course it was missing a whole meal. Now I usually look before I leave but I didn't this time and I should of. So I called and they were like are you coming today to get it? Of course I was cause it was my sons meal. So while I have to go back and get it my food is getting cold at home. I get there and I get the food from who I assume was the manager tried to give me a coupon and I told her no thanks cause it's probably the last time I will go there and all she did was give me a dirty look and rolled her eyes. Very professional. Apparently you need a masters degree to work there and have the smarts to ensure you give the customer all their food. And just to note, they we not busy. We go to Culver's a lot to cure our sweet tooth so we went through the drive thru per usual but this time, at a new Culver's and ordered our usual concrete mixer. I always get the mini chocolate frozen custard with brownie pieces, cheesecake bits, and snickers bits but I have never been asked if I wanted a cheesecake syrup to go in it. That was a shocker and a good one at that. I turned it down though, then we got to the window to pay and the guy gave us a military discount which I didn't know even existed at Culver's lol. So there was another plus, and he also asked if we needed extra napkins. The level of customer service given here exceeded my standards! First timer for them and not too bad, burger was great, asked for extra lettuce, and tomato and they were generous. Fries were good, small portion but taste was on point and I had a hot fudge ice cream and it was great the hot fudge is very good. Only complaint was the food took a bit to come out and was not hot. Cheese curds were interesting but overpriced. I had a large shake, also overpriced, that was actually just frozen custard that wouldn't go through a straw with a vacuum pump. Their claim to fame is chicken which is very good. I had the four piece dinner which was a very decent price but mashed potatoes were cold and the slaw is only average. Over all I'd say it's just another factory food chain serving mostly mediocre food at a high price. I should mention I had the misfortune of being there as the St. Roberts volley ball team arrived. I was amazed the their adult supervisors allowed such loud obnoxious behavior in public. One very small girl at the next table was able to make more noise than all the others together. read more

Haven't had culvers since moving out of Illinois in '04. It was a delight to taste it again. The burger was very enjoyable, the fries were good, but the highlights are the concrete mixers, specifically the caramel one for me, it was a guilty pleasure to finish the entire thing but I couldn't put it down. Great burgers and fries! The last time we dined there I wasn't in the mood for a burger so I got the roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. The roast was pretty amazing and served over a very tangy sourdough toast. It was pretty epic. The beans didn't have much flavor and were very chewy. The custard is very tasty and they have a buy one get one free special between 2 and 4 daily. The lady at the table next to us ordered a grilled cheese and soup. I really like the variety available. The bad- While they tend to have a lot of employees on shift, they are very poorly trained. Even a simple question requires a manager to be called up front. They ran out of sweet tea in the dining room, I told one of the girls at the counter, 4 employees couldn't figure out what to do. They spent several minutes hemming and hawing over how to proceed. It was a little like watching the 4 stooges. An older woman came out of the back, filled my tea from the drive thru urn and sent one to fill up the urn in the dining area. Luckily I had finished my meal because it would have been ice cold by the time TeaGate was resolved. read more

First visit here so decided to skip the drive through and go in to check out the menu. The menu is overwhelming with many options to choose from. The calories are posted next to the items which is very helpful. I was the only customer at the counter when I walked in and it took a while before anyone acknowledged I was there. I didn't make a big deal or if it as I was trying to decide what I wanted to order... Just when a lady who I think may have been a manager commented on how it doesn't take 5 people in the back when customers are waiting at the counter and someone immediately walked up and took my order. I decided to order the grilled chicken sandwich and a side salad the total was $6.98.... Kinda expensive for just a sandwich and salad in my opinion. I requested the order to go and when I got to my destination and finally ate the chicken sandwich I was very disappointed. The sandwich was bland and dry. No complaints about the salad because there is no way to mess up a salad. There is a nutrition and allergen guide available which is useful when deciding on a healthier food option being that majority of the combos there are over 1500 calories. I like their Fried chicken. We went there 2 times in a week for some fried chicken because it was so good. It is delicious. The quality of chicken is good, it's hot, crispy and thin breading. The only reason I am giving this specific place 2 stars is that the food is good. BUT If I order a pulled pork burger, I expect one! I don't expect a FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH. For fast food, this place is great. I love their Snack Pack meals, such a great deal. For under $4 you get a burger, a side, & a small drink. This was my first experience at Culver's. I didn't know what type of restaurant I was being dragged into. I have to say that after seeing some pictures on their menu board, u was easily attracted to a pepper burger(I can't remember what they actually called it). It also showed a picture of some fried cheese curds. I didn't really know what that was, but I felt adventurous, so I got them. Both were excellent for what I would call a step above a fast food restaurant. Great flavor on the burger and the cheese curds were like mini mozzarella sticks. This great experience led me to try a pumpkin spice milk shake, I should have gotten a tried and true classic. I did however return for dinner that night and tried the butter burger and fries. Those guys are OK sure but Culver's is way better tasting and has a huge variety with decent prices, not just good for people that like weird thousand island sauce on their burger.
