A MUST-STOP in St. Robert, Missouri!…read more Carnivores Steakhouse absolutely delivered! Josh was an awesome server--friendly, knowledgeable, and his food and drink recommendations were spot-on. The Samoan steak was incredible, cooked to absolute perfection and packed with flavor. We paired it with two great local brews from Piney River Brewery--the Float Trip Lager and German Road Oktoberfest. My wife had the half rack of ribs, which she loved, along with the Elder Apple Breeze mocktail, which was amazing! Great food, great drinks, and outstanding service. If you're traveling through St. Robert, Missouri, do yourself a favor and make Carnivores Steakhouse a must-stop! We'll definitely be back!

They play the part of a small diner, it doesn't feel authentic, but they did a good job of looking like one. The food is on par. Nothing special, nothing to write home about. The burger is what you'd expect, the fries are diner fries, the club is something you'd expect from a place that serves burgers, fries, onion rings, chicken strip. I can't really comment on specifics, I've only been twice, but have no bad things to say about it. If it helps, I'll be going back when I'm driving down 44 again.

Pro tip: please check their facebook page for updated hours, contact information, and menu of the day. I stopped by to place a carry out order. The team was so welcoming and friendly. That perfect sincere hospitality you don't see too much anymore. The space is absolutely adorable and comfortable. When my order was ready, I was handed a bag that easily weighed five pounds! I went with the blackberry fried chicken. This is like nothing I've ever had. The chicken was super crispy like Korean fried chicken and just covered in a sweet sticky blackberry sauce. The chicken was well seasoned and juicy. Every single bite was perfect. I went with the macaroni and cheese and greens for my sides. Both came served in generous portions of deliciousness. The greens might be a little spicy if you don't like heat. My order came with two cornbread muffins. The meal was a very generous and a filling one. I also picked a slice of peach cobbler cheesecake from the dessert case. While tasty, I would have preferred one or the other. Both cheesecake and cobbler in one dessert was just a little too much for me. But delicious nonetheless. I can see why this spot comes with such great accolades for food service and hospitality.

Not only was the food amazing, but the service was also impeccable. The waitress was so nice, and she gave us history on the restaurant and her family. There were pictures of her family on the walls, and they even had a tree branch with wooden portraits of family members (family tree). It was so cool!! The food was so good!! We had the chicken wings, greens, mac and cheese, yams, and catfish. The portion sizes were huge, so we had food to go. A person in our party had the red beans and rice and fried corn and she said the red beans and rice was some of the best she has ever had, and the sauce on the fried corn was good. The cook's husband came out and talked to us at the end of our meal and gave us some background on how he was also in the military, retired and is now working at the restaurant with his wife along with his government job. Everybody was just so nice and welcoming, and it definitely was a great experience. The prices for the food was very affordable considering the portion sizes. We have to go back in January for her next graduation. We will definitely be going back to eat there. I can taste it already!!

The chips and artichoke dip which was not good at all to say the least and the chips tasted stale. But the mozzarella sticks were good. For our main course we got the sirloin and shrimp on a bed of rice with a side of cheesy mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese. The steak was cooked very good. Exactly how my wife had asked for it. The shrimp wasn't all that but what do you expect for a landlocked state. Both sides lacked any real flavor, but the Mac&Cheese was "terrible" and my wife could only stand 2 bites before not touching it again. We also got the smoked sirloin with added mushrooms/onions with a side of mushrooms and green beans. The steak wasn't bad but the mushrooms/onions that I had added were less than desirable. The side of mushrooms was very good and the green beans weren't bad but probably wouldn't order them again. Overall great staff but only 4/10 food items that hit our table were any good. That being the 1 of the steaks, side of mushrooms, mozzarella sticks and ofc the rolls with butter/honey. I've been here overall 3 times throughout the past few years hoping it's gotten better, but it's still the same.
