If i could give no stars, I would. I like fish sandwiches and while Culver's are marginally acceptable, they're better than what I can find otherwise in the Midway fast food realm. Except at this Culver's, where patrons in the drive-through lane could read the complete Encyclopedia Britannica while waiting in line. Then you get to repeatedly ask for your drink when you are at the window. yes, i get a drink. Yes, it is a basket Alas, i again came home with the wrong meal. I shouldn't have to check my food but I made the mistake of not doing so again. I don't eat burgers, i don't order burgers. I am sitting here looking at a burger I cannot eat and a little bag of cold cheese curds. And don't give me the "You should have checked." i waited a long time for my food and feared it getting cold before I got home. Do not go here. Please. The staff have an utter contempt for customers and it's just so obvious. the drive-through lane and parking are poorly designed if not outright dangerous, customer service complaints go unheeded. It's a cold night after a long weekend of work and I thought I had a meal taken care of without having to cook at home. An inedible burger and cold cheese curds are not a meal. I heard the rumors, then I went to Rainbow the other day and at a glance saw the blue sign. Whoopie, no more having to go off 94 for my favorite fast food burger and custard in the Twin Cities. Another strange thing, I tend to skip the fries, because I've had them all over, and they're the worst. Not here, they're great. Darker in color, crisper, and have a great flavor. I got the burger deluxe, my favorite. They serve coffee in actual mugs. The layout isn't the same as some others. Not as huge, but big enough for this location. The seating is cool too. Some private booths or a nice sunny window area facing University Ave. The other one may be nice for scenery in the summer, but to get your grab on, this is it. Unlike other fast food joints, there's always an unspoken civility here. I guess people will act like humans if you feed them like humans. read more

Very poor service. Order chicken tenders basket, did not get fries, napkins or dipping sauce and only three tenders. I called manager and she was curt and not interested in listening to the issue. Avoid this Culver's restaurant!!!! read more

I only get to Minnesota twice a year to visit my mother in a care home. I always look forward to something delicious at Culver's! Especially a couple of the mini concrete mixers(I think they are called) Well, this weeks visit to the Culver's on University (not the one I typically visit, but it's nearby the new facility that my mother is in) was very,very disappointing!! The price seemed higher for the mini which is usually plenty to fill me up. The serving was not even equal to a measured 1/2 cup and only filled the container up just barely over 1"...with the top 2/3's of the container being empty!?! I was stunned! It's always been filled right to the top! (At the previous Culver's she lived near-in Little Canada) Then I noticed for only .20-.30 cents more, I could have bought the next size up! (I'd have appreciated it- if the guy taking my order had said are you sure you want to pay $3.20 for 4-5 small bites of ice cream? We do have more sensible offers... I was planning to get a salad or two etc while I'm here as I need to eat some where for my 2 week visit...but guess I'll be looking elsewhere unless I can find another Culver's within a short distance! I eat at this location a lot. Like, really. A lot. 99% of the time my experience is average-above average. They get really busy during the noon lunch hour on weekdays and the parking lot is often a hot mess. My order has always been accurate. Service is fine but compared to other Culver's locations throughout the metro, this one could probably use a little coaching in customer service. read more

Got 2 meals. Ordered a mint chip shake and you guys didn't even put the little chips in. Whatever crap happens. Then you also didn't add the 4 ranch cups which of course you charged me for. My sister and I went to Culver's last night to get an ice cream treat. We were in the drive through line and before we ordered, we could hear the worker arguing with the customer ahead of us about their payment method. The worker was a guy, and was being super rude to her. The lady explained she was trying to use Apple Pay and that he had to scan her phone. He said "well how am I supposed to know that?". I then proceeded with my order and he explained that they didn't have any vanilla ice cream. We ordered chocolate shakes. When we got up to the window, he said he couldn't make any shakes either. I asked why? He scoffed and walked off. He was super rude. He came back with the shakes he said he couldn't make. He slammed the drive through door shut and we drove off. We left feeling like we were a bother to him and everyone working. Will not be going back to this Culver's anymore. Horrible service. read more

Excellent customer service. Delicious food. When I forgot my coupons at home, the employee informed me that there is a number you can text so that coupons are sent directly to your phone. I appreciate him sharing that information with me! I love my neighborhood Culver's. read more

French fries and chicken tenders were NOT cooked throughly. Fries were soggy and greasy, chicken was still pinkish most of the way thru. I nuked the tenders for 2 minutes, so i shall see what happens in the next couple if hours, fries went in the trash. What a disappointment besides a waste of money. read more

Been here a few times. They messed up my order once and gave me something totally different and only filled up my drink 3/4 of the way. I called to tell them when I got home and they took my name down so I could get my order next time I came back. I came back and my name was never taken down! But I did eventually get my correct order. Also, I seen rats walking around outside the building. I hope there aren't any in there. Overall good food nonetheless thought. read more

I'm giving this one star because of the service I received today. The kid in the drive thru took my order in a VERY impatient tone of voice. When I told him I wanted the fish dinner he asked me "1 or 2", so I said one. When I finally got home I found out there was just one piece of fish for my meal!! When he said "1 or 2" I thought he was referring to how many meals I was ordering not how many pieces of fish!! All he had to say was 1 or 2 piece meal. What males it even worse is on Culver's official website there IS NOT a one piece fish dinner option!! The options are either 2 or 3 pieces of fish. Culver's Midway if you are reading this please "recycle" that dummy; he is hot headed and doesn't know the Culver's menu. Every time I go to this location it's something that's messed up. Just went and am ordering and the lady keeps interrupting me and just not having a good attitude. Terribly inconsistent; once in a great while it can be hot and fresh, but more times than not the food is barely warm yet cooked to death as if it had been reheated several times, even during peak periods. Needs better management and training. read more

Custard was good. If you just go there for the Custard, then I would give it five stars. Triple Mushroom and Swiss burger was not "juicy" but was "greasy." The oil seemed all on the outside but the burger was dry inside. Not sure how they did that, but they found a way. The chili cheese fries were sort of a mess also - a lot less good than Wendy's Baconator fries. My son said his fish sandwich was good. Personally I don't plan to eat there again except the custard. read more

It's fast food come on. Only reason I'm reviewing this one is compared to all the rest of the Culvers in the area this one stood out as the most efficient and tastiest of all. The worst Culver's location I've ever been to. The people who work the drive-thru really should be doing literally any other job in the restaurant. They messed up our order twice on the screen, bagged the order incorrectly by not putting the kids meal in a kids bag and didn't give us the custard for the kids meal (without the custard or the bag... how is one supposed to ever get the kids custard?). This is one of the best fast food joints around. It may cost a little more but it's worth it and my kids usually finish their food.

First we get here and there's people outside begging for money for a pointless cause. Then we go in order and they screw up our orders when they bring them to our table. Next the lady with black hair,18-20,needs to shave,probably should work at subway comes over with wrong food and was extremely rude to my girlfriend and said "you know you'll have to get up to fix your order right". Once we go up to the register to fix it no one knows what they are doing and have to call the manager. They're doing a great job here. I've been here a couple of times and will be going back. The first time we were there it was when they first opened so they were getting all the kinks worked out but the service was good and the food was good. Just went back with my daughter and I had the fish dinner and it was awesome, great fish, great batter, I love krinkle cut fries, and the coleslaw was good. The best part is that is was only $10, if I ordered that at any restaurant it would be double that and maybe not as good. The kid got the grilled cheese and it was good. Kids meal gets a free small sundae so we split it. I was out of there for $15 for the two of us and the food was good. Can't ask for much more than that. read more
