I love me some Culver's custard, but this review is all about the hidden gem they have which is soup. Seriously so good and simple! The chicken noodle soup is scratch made with thick hearty noodles, a tiny amount of chicken, and really smooth. It's inexpensive and the perfect amount noodle to broth ratio for a simple meal (repeat simple...this is not gourmet) without a lot of fuss or grease. Surprising coming from a burger spot. Have not had a good experience in this location because they have yet to make any of the orders right. Either we get a bun that has an inedible amount of flour at the bottom, we don't get the right fixings, or our fries are overcooked. We request the fries to have no salt and as you can see the fries in the picture are drenched in salt. Also, the customer service and the overall vibe of this restaurant is very poor. They had good knowledge of what came with the Butterburger and asked if I wanted to customize it. Once it's done, someone brings it out to your table. The onions rings are very crispy, which I love. No complaints whatsoever. The burger is also pretty fresh and well-presented, though slightly cold considering the place wasn't all that busy. Bit on the small side, but not bad. The drink options are limited, and I don't do root beer, so there aren't other diet options. The food is always fresh, hot and good, the ice cream is creamy and tasty, and the special needs staff that clean the lobby (because they are the only ones I've seen taking care of the lobby!) are on point so the tables are immediately cleaned off and the environment is clean. The only complaints I've had is that often there seems to be no adult "in charge", most of the staff being HS age, and there seems to be a lot of "hovering" at the front counter. I love culvers! The food, the service and custard! The cod dinner is really good and I love the mushroom and swiss burger. The onion rings are fantastic and my son loves the crinkle cut fries! All the custard flavors I've ever tried have been very good! I love how they expedite your order with the food runners. It shows that they care about the food quality and your drive thru experience.
