Late evening stop-in. Ordered a cod dinner. The cod was fine, battered, came with cole slaw and a role and fries. All were tasty; ordered arrived quickly. Had a rootbeer float; I've had better but it'd been a long time since I even tried one, anywhere, as I'm a low-carb sort. It was OK, nothing special. Prices were OK. The cashier staff weren't great communicators, but we got the job done. The place was very clean. Strange music, a very wide variety of songs played while we were there. I adore Culver's, usually but this facility had some issues. Not with the food, but the staffing. There were plenty of employees at the registers to take your order but once you got out to the lobby, they were out of ice, tables needed cleaned and the garbage needed to be taken out. One of the employees cleaned a table for us to sit down, just before our food arrived. Awkward. I hesitate to give a 3 star review since the food was so good, as always but if we had 1/2 stars I'd be there with that. read more

We had a wonderful day experience here at this Culver's in West Lafayette, Indiana. We were on our way home from Chicago and we stopped and explored the city and we ate here. We wanted something fast but good for fast food and that's exactly what we got. The service was awesome. The lady at the counter was super nice and helpful. The price of the food was solid for what we got cheese. Curds were on point. The cheeseburger was very good and tasting. Very good food and friendly employees! I visit this location fairly frequently as I often work in the area. Culver's is a step up from the typical fast food restaurant. The food is better quality, the restaurant is clean, and employees are cheerful and helpful. The food is made fresh to order, so it might take a little longer to receive your order but it is worth it. My favorite sandwiches are the harvest veggie burger and the cod sandwich. I like to add grilled onions to both. I usually order cheese curds instead of fries. Onion rings are good as well. Walleye is only available for about six weeks in early spring but I look forward to it every year. I'm often drawn to Culver's when I see a favorite "flavor of the day" on their sign. Espresso toffee, Oreo overload, cappuccino cookie crumble, dark chocolate decadence, devil's food cake, and chocolate oreo volcano. read more

My grandpa always loved going to Wendy's but I know he would've loved Culvers had he had the chance! I have to admit the burgers are overrated, there's better at 5 Guys and Wendy's and even Burger King in my experience. But those cheese curds! WOW! And ice cream, the concrete mixers are a thing of beauty. Smash one medium CM and you won't need anything else, concrete laid right into the abdomen sets you up for the day! This is a great location, friendly staff, consistent food, easy to get in and out, always positive and happy time here. Stopped in for lunch, on a road trip home. The food was great. Today's flavour of the day was "maple-pecan" and I loved it. We both got burgers; they were a little greasy but good. They threw some onions on the grill for me (I had grilled onion and mushroom on a single cheeseburger). I really think the single is filling enough, I wouldn't suggest a double unless you are starving. We also shared some root beer which was great. The service was adequate. I really like that the menu lists the calorie count. Be aware that these meals are VERY high in calories.... I splurged and got ice cream because I didn't eat breakfast this morning. Don't go to overboard! It seems to get VERY busy around lunchtime. We came in at 11:30 and by noon all the tables had people seated at them and it was a little noisy. I miss Culvers like anything. They dish out the best fast food burgers. Living in the Midwest, to be able to drive up to a culvers, sit down and enjoy a beautiful butter burger with fresh quality cheese is one of the many blessings of life. I don't have enough words to praise the quality, consistency and flavor of the burgers that culvers puts out, and the concrete mixes as well as the sides are great too. However, the cheese curds are definitely a disappointment, with more breading on them than cheese itself. The concrete mixes taste less dairy than the frozen custard you get in Wisconsin, but I can hardly compare or complain owing to the fact that afterall, Culver's is a franchise. The location is accessible and the restaurant is overall clean. I have never had a bad experience at this Culver's and highly recommend it. read more

Great service at the front desk. Not good service waiting for our food. We waited 35 minutes for 2 kids meals and a party of 7 around us after we got our food got their food within 5-10 min of sitting down. I went up to ask about our food and they said it was coming yet we still waited 10-15 minutes after that. Then, we got our meal and I had no cheese on my burger. I went up to get cheese on it and they gave me a cold slice of cheese to put on my warm burger so you can only imagine how that tasted.. gross! Then, after our meal, we wanted to get a free scoop of ice cream and we waited 10-15 min for that one scoop with hot fudge on top. I really like this place. A big menu of burgers, chicken and ice cream. Everything is well priced and tastes fresh (okay it all fried, but done right when you order). The concrete mixers (sort of like dairy queen blizzrds) are delish and taste very rich since they are made with their custard. It is a family joint so it is generally packed! This review is specifically for the Culver's in Lafayette, IN on Creasy Ln. We stopped in on our way to Louisville because we love Culver's burgers and cheese curds! After we ordered our food, we were waiting and the manager came over to greet us. He was so friendly and helpful - and after we told him that our daughter was gluten free, he asked if we ordered her a GF bun. We had no idea Culver's offered GF buns! They are each packaged separately in their own sealed, plastic bags. She had ordered grilled chicken (no bun) and planned to put the chicken on bread that we brought from home. The manager, Josh, re-ordered her sandwich - made sure it was free from gluten cross-contamination and had them prep with it the GF bun. She was thrilled! It was above and beyond what I would expect from a "quick service restaurant." Josh's attention to detail and super friendly demeanor should be rewarded! He made our day. In fact, we planned to come back through on way back to Chicago. Well! On our way back, we hit a major traffic snafu on 65 that put us nearly 1.5 hours behind - we realized that we may not make it back to the Culver's before it closed at 10pm. I called the store, hoping we could order ahead and grab it if we got there a little after 10. Josh answered our call and was happy to accommodate us. I'd never heard of Culver's before walking in here with my family the other day, although they are apparently a large chain. They have a variety of sandwiches and chicken items. I had the buffalo chicken tenders and fries with a ranch dip and it was good. The restaurant looked very clean and sparkly, white as all hell. Apparently they are really known for their ice cream, so I had to get a Concrete Mixer, their version of a Blizzard. I got bananas and strawberries. I don't know that it was better than a blizzard, as I'd been told, but it was definitely very good. I'd be back! read more

The Culver's chain has a pretty good burger, but I'm not a fan of their frying method. Pressing down a burger with a big weight like they show on the commercial is NOT the way to cook a burger. You lose a lot of flavor that way, but you do get a crispy outer crust. Culver's is not the worst hamburger in town - that mantle belongs to McDonald's, of course. It is cooked to order, so it has that going for it. Culver's is just OK, and you can get better burgers at local favorites such as AJ's or DT Kirbys. read more

I feel as if I can't go anywhere anymore and give a good review, I went to Culvers on Creasy and Rome, Saturday night at 7:30pm and walked up to the entrance and tried to open the doors and they were locked, there were people in the lobby in line to order and sitting down and eating, and thought that maybe there was another entrance but there was not, I was not alone several other people were trying to get in also and followed me around looking for another entrance. There were cars lined up in the drive thru and no signs anywhere explaining why the entrance was locked, Culvers isn't the best burger place by far and when I still may have went there on occasion for a change of pace, after that experience I probably will never go back especially to the east side Culver's, I found out later that they closed the lobby because they were short staffed, that is nobody else's fault except the managers, that staffing issue might be because of their rate of pay, why would you work at Culver's when you can work at Wendy's for $15.00 an hour and get paid the same day, but bottom line the manager isn't doing their job correctly and I am sure I am not the only person that feels this way, just ask everyone who walked up to locked doors at 7:30 on a Saturday read more

It was Saturday and 12:18pm that we stopped at Lafayette's Culver's on Creasy Lane. We'd just finished a Lowe's expedition and I THOUGHT a quick trip for something to eat instead of fixing lunch at home was a good idea. Not so much. There were initial problems getting the order done.I'm cutting some slack here because the young lady seemed to be new with help hovering at her shoulders. I asked four times for a fish/cod sandwich and she didn't get it. I was not speaking any Star Wars languages and I was speaking clearly and slowly (I'm from Virginia). Finally one of her advisors hit the proper key on the machine. If it is not already, it should be a picture of a fish. Then, she charged us for the previous order and our own. That was remedied again by one of the helpers.By that time, everyone behind us had found another line and I was wishing we had. It should not take three people to take a simple order. Maybe the training process needs to be revisited by the managers. The ordering finally done, the food took a very long time to get to the table. We were getting close to spending an hour at Culver's and no food in sight. I found myself wondering if the order had been processed. I was hungry and was ready to eat the American flag pin someone laid on our table with a note asking us for $2 to help him out. So, not wanting to encourage solicitation and pay him, I didn't eat it. Finally, the order came, but no hurrahs. The Cod fillet had a bitter off taste and my diagnosis was that the oil was past needing a change. I would have ordered grilled but there was not option for that choice. It was very greasy and had a ton of tartar sauce on it, but fish seemed cooked to done, so I ate most of it. I wished I had not later in the day. We got through the "meal," and I will give credit and say the catsup was ok. The tepid fries had no taste without it. We bussed our table and exited at the same time a very irate lady did. She got tired of the hassle ordering food and left with nothing but her frustration. She voted with her feet. Culver's offers a higher grade fast food than McDonald's and they are famous for their frozen desserts. Culver's corporate needs to do something because their business name is being sullied. Let be plain to say that the nice manager, Josh was nowhere to be seen yesterday at lunch time. He's off the hook. In a era when I complain about the work ethic of the young generation this Culver's has found great young people and trained them well. Ice cream as good as always but I had one young man go out of his way to take our tray to the trash and a young lady named Madison go out of her way to hold the door open. They brought out the part of the order they had but did not come back to tell us the issue until we went up to check. They didn't offer a refund right away and didn't offer a solution.
