Truthfully, what keeps me coming back, is that hard to beat price of the warm buttered lobster roll that I find myself craving from time to time. Former owners of the popular Salad & Go who just recently closed their doors, have brought some of their original salad recipes to share at Angie's! I have yet to try them but they all look & sound fantastic! Choose from an array of protein options like salmon, shrimp & even seared falafel. Angie's menu offers an interesting combination of seafood, protein bowls, Mexican food & salads as mentioned. I've only ever tried the lobster rolls (warm buttered) & last 2 times I've been, have left me feeling very underwhelmed. The bun which should be buttery & soft was stiff & cold, the lobster meat portion was less than fair & the French fries were cold & stale. Don't expect your lobster roll to be smothered in butter, as it comes prepackaged & is applied yourself. The service however is quick and is a great spot for those in a hurry. Especially love that they have a drive thru. Inside you'll find just a very small handful of tables, and orders are placed on the touch pad kiosk. So will I ever come back to Angie's? Very likely yes. I really need to "venture out" & try the other items on their menu. Until then, it will probably be a while til I come back in for some cheap eats.

Plus it didn't have that nostalgia vibe Tempe's location has. But, I was there for the food. I ordered my norm, which is a Chicago style hot dog along with some cheese fries. When my order was called, I picked it up and sat at a window side table. I tried French fry first and it was Luke warm and limp. I had to take it back and asked for crispier fries. They automatically upgraded my fries to large. The fries were just a little crispier and a little warmer, not hot. Weird! But the fries were tasty! Now my hot dog. It wasn't much warmer than my first batch of fries. Plus it didn't taste as good as the Tempe location. It was still good, but I think if the hot dog was hot it would have been better. My wife suggested maybe it's because their grill is new and isn't seasoned yet! Hmmmm! Maybe! But it was still good. I paid another visit and ordered another Chicago dog and a Fish sandwich. The hot dog was the same as my last visit. But the fish sandwich was a different story. It was actually a very good fish sandwich. I rank it higher than the other fast food restaurants; such as, McDonalds, Arby's, Burger King, and Culver's! I do want to try their charbroiled burgers!
