Extremely poor service after calling customer service number & restaurant twice. I paid for two cod 3 piece meals over $40.00. I did not receive a complete meal. When I made it noticed All I received was a voucher for two items replaced and a scoop of ice cream to share, I guess. I have spent money many times at Culver's but will change my habit. I must send a special shout-out to Manager De'Ante at the Culver's in Carbondale, IL. I rarely eat out, but my money goes to Culver's butter burger when I crave fast food. If you have never had one, you are missing a mouth full of YUM! Last night, I went through the drive-thru and ordered my meal with special instructions. When I got home, I realized the order wasn't correct. I ate the fries and ice cream and counted it as a loss. Well, as I was returning from a trip this afternoon, I went by Culver's again. I was still needing that butter-burger itch scratched. Unfortunately, my order was made incorrect again. This time, I saved the burger, and after a brief nap, I drove back to Carbondale, determined to get my burger. As soon as I walked into the door, I was greeted by Manager De'Ante. I explained what had happened and asked for a replacement meal. I didn't want to go another day without that delicious burger. De'Ante repeated my order to ensure it would be done correctly, then told his team to begin the preparation of my meal. I am happy to report that the Culver's team got it right this time! We all have bad days, so I try to grant grace when something goes awry, and I love it when a restaurant is responsive and willing to correct its mistakes. Not only did I get my food hot and fresh, but unlike when I went through the drive-thru, I could see how beautiful the restaurant was inside. I was impressed with the accessibility and cleanliness as well. As you can see from the attached photos, the restaurant and lot are clean, well-lit, and extremely inviting. I never know how to rate fast food places. Do I rate them on a scale compared to other fast food places of the same name. This is not what this review is. This is about Culver's in general and it's just kind of average. The hype for the butter burger was a let down. Similar burgers to fast Eddie's and steak b shake. On par with Steak 'n Shake better then fast Eddie's. There is a lot of variety here and the sides are good. If you like skinny fries like Eddie's or steak shake I would go there but like me you prefer a fatter fry culverts wins by a mile not to mention there are more options. The fish sandwich I found to be an overbreaded tasteless mess.,how can something this unhealthy taste so blah. Anyway culverts is fine. Hadn't visited Culver's in quite awhile, so ordered a shrimp dinner through the drive thru recently. The service was fairly quick and cordial and the food was good. Portions and prices were appropriate. An overall very good experience. read more

Definitely order fries with your malt. I don't normally come to Culver's but I will next time because of DJ!!! He made this experience so much better. If management sees this, he needs some sort or raise because WOW. I haven't seen someone so respectful!!! My order was hot, fresh, and looked high quality, which makes it all the more infuriating that my burger had onion on it. I am allergic to onion. I told them so when ordering and was assured it would be onion free. At the window I asked for my receipt and was told it was in the bag. Guess what, no receipt, so no way to leave a review directly with the company or store itself. We arrived at Carbondale IL Culvers at 8:57pm and the door said they were open 10:30am-10:00pm daily. The doors were locked but long line in drive thru. We knocked on door and what ended up being the manager waved us away. (She wouldn't even come to the door.). When we pointed to our watches questioning the time she eventually sent a different worker to the door to tell us that they close at 9:00pm. We asked why the door stated 10:00pm and he hammered around then finally said "uh...I don't know." We asked for a manager's number or the owner's card for a number and he said a manager was there so we asked to speak with them. He proceeded to go back in (leaving us in the rain) and spoke to the girl that had waved us away earlier. We watched her shake her head no to the worker and look back at us. Again, didn't even have the decency to come to the door. And still, people being served through the drive thru. The manager and what appeared to be every other worker stared out the door at us standing in the rain and wouldn't even give us the information we requested. The kicker to all of this is that all we wanted to order was a 4 pack of pints TO GO. We're talking a five minute in and out order. We would've been done before the drive thru line was! We'll have plenty to say at the next Culvers commercial talking about how they treat their "family". Tonight they don't even deserve the one star. read more
